11/10/2025: If you are in this area, I highly recommend this family run restaurant. From the grandmother outside to welcome you, the son who runs the restaurant, the mother, who is the chef, the waiter and Uncle(or friend, not quite sure) Mateo, this place is the vibe of small towns that make Italy truly special. If you are in a hurry, don't go. They make everything to order, it's not fast food. But, it is worth the wait. I had a linguine with shrimp and lemon and my partner had the "New" pizza. She said it's the best pizza she has ever had! My pasta was so flavorful with just the right amount of lemon. I ate the entire dish! And the portions are generous so, it was a lot. We had a wonderful time with Mateo and really enjoyed talking to him. It made the experience that much more special. Thank you for an amazing meal and time.

06/10/2025: The clam spaghetti tastes so good, a pitty that i didn’t get the lobster spaghetti. The stuffed pepper is not what I thought it would be, but taste ok. The chicken also tastes good.

16/09/2025: Very nice staff and the view is great! Had the scrambled eggs with bacon (nicely cooked) and Bellini plus a macchiato, all delicious. Went back next day and had the Cantabrico pizza with two Hugo cocktails, also great!

13/09/2025: A beautiful terrace overlooking the Mediterranean. The staff were lovely and made us feel very comfortable. The food was delicious and the wine was a fabulous recommendation. We really enjoyed our dining experience here.

02/10/2025: To be honest, rather than a "tasteful" osteria, it should be called a "tasteless" osteria. The food tastes like nothing! The staff is kind and polite, and the owner is helpful and friendly. The prices are higher than those shown on the page and, in my opinion, not in line with what an osteria should charge. Best regards to the staff, hoping my review will be a constructive incentive to improve. I also respond to the owner: The staff is courteous, but that doesn't equate to service, and I invite you to look more closely at my reviews, because many are positive, so you're wrong. As for the food, I ordered calamari stuffed with a liquid slime that was unsightly, let alone eatable, and a slice of swordfish that even made the water taste better. Final result: €68 for two, without eating. I hope I've satisfied your curiosity, since you really wanted to. Being a restaurateur also means humility and I don't see any here and I know a thing or two about food even when it's terrible like in this case.

07/09/2025: Great location and exceptional service! There are many shops around the hotel and it’s very close to the beach. Lucio was awesome and helped us book an excursion to Capri which made our trip extra memorable. We also highly recommend taking a sunset cruise, it was the highlight of our visit. We truly had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary in Positano!

06/09/2025: Maggots on food - My husband and I visited this restaurant in September while on our honeymoon. The place looked charming, especially the courtyard seating, which initially drew us in. Unfortunately, the experience took a turn for the worse due to poor service and a serious hygiene issue. We ordered the seafood platter, which was quite expensive (around €50). Partway through the meal, we noticed maggots crawling on the food. We discreetly brought this to our server’s attention, not wanting to cause a scene, though it was obviously disturbing. The server removed the plate without much of a response, and later the manager came by and casually offered to bring us a new platter—“without maggots this time.” Needless to say, we had completely lost our appetite…. What shocked us most was that the dish wasn’t even taken off our bill. At any reputable restaurant, something like this would be handled with far more care and accountability. We would strongly recommend avoiding this place.

02/09/2025: From the location to the service, to the food, everything was perfect. The stuffed zucchini flowers are absolutely delicious! Reservations are highly recommended, otherwise you risk having to wait in line!

01/10/2025: I saw great reviews so came here for dinner as it was very close to our accommodation. I ordered the fresh fish with tomato pasta and it was very disappointing. The portion was so small and there was barely any fish, only 3 scraps of fish (you couldn't call them a piece of fish) that seemed like the chef was scrapping the bottom of the barrel for leftover fish. I was genuinely surprised they could serve it to a guest. It looked like half a meal. Also we found the waiters quite rude so perhaps it was bad luck on a bad day!

04/10/2025: Tommasini is a place where you can eat well! I opted for the gnocchi with butter and sage, heavenly! The gnocchi were tender, soft, and melted in your mouth. The butter and sage turned this dish into a culinary masterpiece, creamy, fragrant, and full of flavor. Total comfort food! I recommend it to anyone who appreciates simplicity and flavor. For dessert, the "torta della nonna" is a must. Delicious! 💛

27/09/2025: We had a great lunch here. The waitress recommended the seafood pasta and it was delicious. Such a good atmosphere and great service too.

15/09/2025: It's very quiet here. The atmosphere is very peaceful, and so is the service. The staff are kind, polite, and attentive, but never intrusive. They work calmly, which doesn't mean they're slow, but they're not agitated, and this contributes to the peaceful atmosphere. The food is very good. The dishes are flavorful and not overdone (in terms of the use of ingredients and the balance of flavors). Generous portions and tasty dishes! The price is fair.

12/09/2025: We've been for dinner three times, and I regret not staying longer! The first night, the service wasn't excellent; the second night, there was only one waiter and the gentleman who was cashiering and taking orders. The service was fast and friendly despite the restaurant being completely full. The food was good! I don't eat fish, and I had a very good amatriciana! I have no negative comments. I'll also add the price: excellent value for the area!

19/09/2025: We stayed overnight in the area and after reading the reviews, we decided to make a reservation at the restaurant... since it was last minute, we could only get a later time, but we still accepted. We arrived a little earlier than scheduled and were immediately directed to the restaurant bar, where cocktails were being served for €15. We stayed there for about 25 minutes and then were taken to the main dining room, which has a very traditional and welcoming atmosphere. The service is largely staffed by older people, which makes the place even more welcoming and warm. We ordered the Angus beef and lamb chops... both were good, but we can't say it was an incredible dining experience! The place is very beautiful and is better than all the surroundings!
