30/05/2026: We had an amazing experience at Porta Nova in Tropea. The pizza was absolutely delicious—one of the best we have had in Italy. The food is truly authentic Italian, prepared with great care and high-quality ingredients. The service was outstanding. The staff were friendly, attentive, and spoke excellent English, which made us feel very welcome. It is rare to find a place in Tropea that offers such tasty food at such reasonable prices. The quality-to-price ratio is exceptional. We highly recommend Porta Nova to anyone visiting Tropea and looking for authentic Italian cuisine, great pizza, and excellent service. We will definitely return on our next visit! 14/05/2026: Honestly, it's one of the most expensive places in the area. The fried fish was good, but we paid half the price at another nearby restaurant for similar quality. The service was excellent, no complaints there, and they even offered us a complimentary prosecco. However, I think the price is a bit too high.

08/05/2026: Good quality food, service too, prices not exactly cheap but not very expensive either, shame about the decor which definitely needs modernizing, but we were told that there is already a renovation project and it is definitely worth it.

16/06/2026: Everything we had for dinner was delicious, the staff was excellent and efficient, and the place is beautiful. Definitely a place to return to!

16/06/2026: Divine place. it couldn’t be more perfect. The owner is a really lovely man and the Service was impeccable. The tuna with the cipolla rossa was spectacular. Followed by pistachio encrusted sea bass. I had plans for another place, but I want up going back and ordering the same thing, it was so delicious!!!

01/06/2026: For us, this is the best restaurant in Tropea. We completely understand the many positive reviews, but we simply don't understand the few negative ones. The menu is extensive and offers something for everyone – whether you're looking for fish, meat, or an excellent, high-quality pizza. The value for money is outstanding. Despite the large number of customers, you're always served with warm Italian hospitality and friendliness. Every time we're in Tropea, we eat here at least twice, often even more often. A definite recommendation and an essential part of every Tropea vacation.

04/06/2026: My wife and I went for dinner two nights ago on the recommendation of our host (Mr. Antonio), and we were not disappointed at all. The service was extremely kind and courteous, the menu included a good selection of traditional dishes, and what we tried was delicious! The portions were just right (not small at all), and the final bill was in line with local standards for the time of year. Important note: the restaurant has a decent selection of local wines and also offers a choice of glass, ideal if you can't finish the entire bottle. Recommended!

01/11/2025: Very cute restaurant! I went twice and sat on the terrace. I had a pizza and the other day the filej pasta with cipolla rossa and caponata tropeana. Everything was delicious and service was excellent, she even remembered my special dietary requirements from the time before.

06/05/2026: A superb experience, I highly recommend SPQR as a local. Located in the heart of Pizzo, it boasts friendly and welcoming staff, offers amazing food, and is excellent value. A must!

13/05/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant, and I must say we had high expectations. There were two of us, and we didn't wait long—we were practically the first ones in. The food was very good and fresh, and the aromas from the dishes were truly noticeable, which is a real treat. The service was excellent, with Domenico to be commended. Given his young age, you can immediately tell how passionate he is about his work. He was very courteous and competent, making even the older staff envious. The menu prices aren't exactly cheap; let's say not every day, but we all know that when you combine quality food with a touristy setting, prices are higher, but it's worth the lunch.

09/05/2026: We had a wonderful time! We chose Pizzeria la Pergola for a family dinner and couldn't have made a better choice. The staff were welcoming, smiling, and professional, as was the family who runs it. The background music was excellent, and we also had fun participating in the karaoke, which was organized in a discreet manner. We'll see you again soon, thanks to Pino and his family for a wonderful evening!

23/04/2026: A wonderful discovery! Near Tropea, a superb garden with a sea view, a 5-star welcome with an owner who goes out of his way to make his guests feel welcome, and the best part: the restaurant serving delicious home-cooked meals. Honestly, I recommend it without reservation.

24/03/2026: Tropea, Lido Costa degli Dei, "Coast of the Gods" is a very nice small town beach. It has a beautiful sandy beach, located at the foot of the sanctuary of Santa Maria Dell Isola, a great place for a cloudless and sunny holiday.

17/05/2026: So we actually never wanted to sit and eat at this restaurant,our goal was' IL BISTROT CALABRESE '. They belong together however we were basically lured and sat down and given the menu that's 3x more expensive (like fine dining more or less) without even being told that it's another restaurant.The food is good, portions kinda small,prices overboard for what you receive. Fine if you want 'influencer vibes',but still a tourist trap.
