18/04/2026: We found this place by chance while looking for an open restaurant. Generally in Italy, it's not easy to find a place open before a certain time. This chance encounter changed our food rankings; it's now number 1 in Italy. It's a true family business. The excellent food, wonderful presentations, and the seafood menu at the peak of flavor, along with the house wines and modest price-performance ratio, captivated us. Thank you, Chef! I highly recommend it and will definitely visit again…

17/04/2026: A beautiful little restaurant with excellent cuisine! Very unassuming from the outside, but a wonderful atmosphere. The service was top-notch and the staff very friendly. We had two fantastic evenings there.

12/04/2026: I've spent two nights in Scilla and eaten here two days! Right across from the beach, fresh fish and seafood, friendly atmosphere and service, fantastic value for money. We had a white wine they produce that was superbly priced and of excellent quality.

03/05/2026: I think this restaurant has immense potential. For many reasons. It has a fantastic view and a brilliant chef. The fish was incredibly fresh and beautifully cooked. I particularly enjoyed the first courses and the mixed fried fish. The appetizer and house wine, in my opinion, need to be revisited. I was pleased to note that the bread was excellent and fresh, even though it was Sunday, which is quite a feat. The place doesn't quite live up to my aesthetic tastes, and I think it deserves a general overhaul and a different look. My compliments, however, are the courtesy and the value for money. 13/02/2026: A good restaurant on Locri's main street. Local specialties, mostly seafood, but also some meat options. Quick and friendly service. Good wine list. Average prices.

05/02/2026: Extraordinary dishes, textbook pizza, and illegal desserts!!! Enzo, who served us, is passionate and attentive to his work. We'll be back in the area for work, and it will remain our go-to place in the future.

13/05/2026: Stunning location, with a breathtaking view of Scilla at dusk. Friendly and fast service. Excellent food, very fresh fish, I especially enjoyed the swordfish. Good wine. Reasonable price.

08/05/2026: The place is wonderful, nothing to say, the thing that disappointed me most was what they brought: for 2 of us, we asked for 2 fish appetizers and a first course, paccheri with swordfish, as appetizers they brought us practically nothing, it was a taste of 6 courses, of all of them, there was nothing raw... Of course the quality was there, but we were left starving and we spent €65 for nothing... In fact, afterward we went to eat a sandwich... Total disappointment

04/05/2026: We went specifically for the pasta corte d'Assise, as it had been recommended as the best in the area. Excellent dish and generous portions. We only had the pasta, along with water, wine, and coffee. It cost €40 for two.

01/05/2026: Very nice and spacious place, excellent service with friendly and attentive staff. The owners are very kind... we ate only fish with friends, and I'd say it was EXCELLENT... definitely recommended... PS: Of course, it's always best to book a table if you have a large group...

12/05/2026: An absolutely fantastic evening, we wholeheartedly give it a perfect score! My friend Rudi called about half an hour beforehand and we got a table right away. A quick call is definitely worthwhile, as this restaurant seems to be very popular, and rightly so. For our starter, we had swordfish carpaccio, and we can honestly say we've never eaten swordfish carpaccio like it. Incredibly fresh, buttery soft, and simply sensational in taste. It looked as if the fish had been freshly sliced. A real highlight! Afterwards, I was even allowed to choose my lobster directly from the tank. It was cooked on a charcoal grill and was simply perfect, wonderfully juicy, not at all dry, and with that wonderful aroma from the charcoal grill. A true taste sensation. Rudi had fritto misto, and it too was superbly prepared, fresh, crispy, and very delicate in flavor. The service was exceptionally warm and welcoming. Whether it was the owner himself, we don't know, but we received incredibly friendly and attentive service and felt completely at ease all evening. We also had a beautifully chilled bottle of white wine from Calabria, which was even served in a cooler – a lovely touch. And then came the big surprise: when we each wanted to order an espresso and a grappa at the end, they were complimentary. You don't often experience something like that, even in Italy! All in all, it was an unforgettable evening with excellent food, superb service, and an incredibly pleasant atmosphere. We will definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!

12/05/2026: A quaint restaurant located in what was once a fishermen's cave. Easily accessible, close to the parking lot before the Chianalea restricted traffic zone. Fresh fish from the fish farm is available for viewing.

09/09/2025: Delicious local food, a family-run atmosphere with very friendly staff ready to accommodate every need. Compared to all the exorbitant prices you hear about at Lido Gelsomino, the prices are more than affordable. It will be my vacation spot again next year.

25/12/2025: I came to eat at this wonderful restaurant. The staff makes you feel at home right away, very kind and smiling. The atmosphere is very welcoming and clean. The quality-price ratio is also excellent: high quality without breaking the bank. Extensive menu with unique dishes, both meat and fish. I will definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a quality restaurant.
