My compliments go to the chef for the wonderful dishes we had the pleasure of tasting. Despite it being a full lunch—appetizer, first course, and second course—we felt pleasantly full but without that heavy feeling that often accompanies such rich meals. Also, given the Michelin star, I was worried I'd leave still hungry 🤣🤣🤣, but instead the portions were truly generous! 💪 Congratulations to the entire staff for the experience.

Our visit to the Vecchio Porto restaurant was a truly exceptional gastronomic experience. Each course was prepared with great attention to detail, perfectly balanced in flavor, and accompanied by a carefully selected wine. We also truly appreciated the restaurant's elegant atmosphere and the professional yet friendly service, which made us feel truly special throughout the evening. It's been a long time since we've enjoyed such a pleasant dinner. We thank the entire team for this wonderful experience. If we ever return to the South, we'll be delighted to return to this restaurant.

We went to the old port without a reservation; it was a Monday and there wasn't a lot of people. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the very kind waiters. The owner took our orders very courteously and hospitable. We were served an excellent welcome appetizer (a sort of deconstructed eggplant parmigiana). We ordered two hot mixed appetizers, each consisting of three appetizer courses. The portions aren't huge, but they're very fresh and flavorful. They're generous with delicious sauces, which, however, are recurring throughout the courses. For our second course, we ordered the catch of the day cooked on a salt stone (from the various fish available, we chose a slice of swordfish and amberjack fillet). The fish was very well cooked and very fresh. The bread was also very good and warm! For dessert, we ordered a ricotta mille-feuille and a lemon sorbet. Both were good, perhaps a little too sweet... but that depends on your taste :) Overall, a great experience. I found the bill a little expensive, above average, but the quality of the fish was definitely there! I recommend you try it :)

On our way back from Sicily, we stopped at this magnificent restaurant. As soon as I entered, I immediately felt at ease thanks to the refined atmosphere, the friendly, courteous, and professional staff, and the excellent background music. Without wasting any time, we were feeling hungry, so we decided to indulge in the daily menu, a selection of delicacies, each more delicious than the last, rounded off with an excellent dessert, all accompanied by a delicious glass of white wine. The photos speak for themselves, and all for a decidedly more than fair price of 35 euros. I will definitely be back.

Il Vecchio Porto is one of those restaurants that might go unnoticed for a moment, but then you step inside and discover all the deliciousness of seemingly revisited yet richly textured Mediterranean cuisine. The welcoming and refined atmosphere (I'd improve the table linens) offers dishes that express the full flavor of our cuisine. Recommended!

Pleasant restaurant on the seafront of Villa San Giovanni, friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, very good food with revisited traditional dishes
