17/09/2025: Magnificent, unique, and informal setting (it's a fish tourism business, and that's how it should be). Excellent food, reflecting tradition, and plentiful. The staff is helpful and friendly, without being overly greasy like some touristy places. I was pleasantly surprised (in fact, I'll be back).

03/09/2025: Dinner didn't live up to expectations: red sauce for both the appetizer and the main course, blue crab for both the appetizer and the main course. Mosquitoes were present, but no mosquito coils were available. Service was a bit cold, right up until the final blow: I was charged a whopping €15 for fregola in bianco for my one-year-old daughter. A truly disproportionate price. And when I asked for clarification, they walked away without even a glance. I'm very sorry, because the location is worth it. But I won't be returning.

26/07/2025: Bel ristorante proprio all'inizio della zona pedonale del paese, con bellissima vista sul mare. Piatti di pesce molto buoni, servizio giovane, attento, molto gentile e disponibile.

20/07/2025: Buon ristorante nel borgo con vista sul golfo. Piatti classici liguri nella norma e buon servizio. Prezzo un po’ eccessivo…ma si paga la posizione.

01/11/2025: Excellent value. Eggplant parmigiana and seafood spaghetti are excellent. Nice winter outdoor seating with a beautiful lake view.

15/09/2025: We visited the restaurant, which is beautifully situated and well-developed on the lagoon. Surprisingly, a reservation wasn't necessary, which we were very pleased about. Occasionally, a ferry docks at the pier right next door. There's a large paid parking lot. A beautiful sunset is a specialty here. Freshly caught fish is relatively expensive at €100 per kg. This also applies to starters and main courses, which are good but nothing exceptional. The service was very friendly but relatively clueless when it came to wine recommendations. Overall, it was good, but the value for money is better at many other restaurants nearby.

06/06/2025: Das Tumelin gehört mit dem Gattabriga und dem La Loggia zu den 3 besten Restaurants in Levanto! Der frisch zubereite Doradenfisch ist einfach nur herrlich und vergeht auf der Zunge. Auch die Vor - & Nachspeisen sind einfach nur zauberhaft. Die Weinauswahl ist erstklassig. Der langjährige und megafreundliche Oberkellner ist super professionell und megafreundlich und sucht vergebens seinesgleichen in Levanto. Das Tumelin ladet zum verweilen ein!

03/10/2025: Bad experience, very nice location on the sea, but restaurateurs need to change their profession: frozen food, super salty tagliatelle, raw potatoes... need we say more? We asked for stain remover spray and even that was a nightmare... rusty and empty can... a total flop.

20/09/2025: Fantastic restaurant - amazing food and great service! We went 3 days for lunch back to back and each time, the food was fabulous. 100% recommend!

15/09/2025: Excellent beach, spacious, excellent restaurant. I had lunch on Sunday with the family, to keep my wife happy, excellent, the owner was very kind, the waitresses, very good, we will return, we really had a great time.

16/10/2025: Went to order around 1pm some pizzas, the queue was all the way to the entrance. All tables full. So I just ordered from somewhere else. Cannot rate their food or service. The atmosphere was busy and loud.

They seated us in one room and then moved us to another because they'd made a mistake, which is understandable, it can happen, but then they were taking orders from people who arrived well after us. The Neapolitan pizza was nothing special. The desserts, however, were excellent. The prices were fair.

29/10/2025: The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. From the very beginning, they did everything they could to accommodate my needs. I had truly delicious seafood spaghetti, cooked to perfection, with the seafood in the sauce being plentiful, tasty but not overpowering. The portion was generous and served piping hot. Special thanks to Brigitta, who welcomed me with great professionalism and attention. Highly recommended.

14/09/2025: The staff is super friendly, helpful, and always smiling. The cleanliness is top-notch. It's a 3-star hotel, a bit dated...but the cleanliness of the bathroom, the breakfast (rich: homemade sweets and savory, fresh fruit), and the location are the strong points of this hotel. 23/07/2025: Abbiamo scoperto questo ristorante e siamo rimasti molto contenti. La pasta alla Eoliana era ottima come anche il pesce. Il servizio veloce ed i prezzi nella media. Ci simo poi ritornati una seconda sera e non ci ha deluso.

Questo posto ha davvero qualcosa di speciale: l’atmosfera familiare e il pesce, sempre freschissimo e cucinato con maestria da Fabio. Ogni piatto è un viaggio nei sapori autentici delle Eolie. Dai crudi alle linguine all’astice blu: tutto è preparato con passione e rispetto per la tradizione locale. La gentilezza del personale e la cura nei dettagli rendono l’esperienza ancora più piacevole. È il mio appuntamento fisso ogni estate, e ogni volta riescono a sorprendermi. Un luogo dove si mangia benissimo e ci si sente a casa. Consigliatissimo a chi cerca il meglio del pesce in un angolo di paradiso!

Il Grottino (Paese): superb seafood pasta and impeccable service ​Review: ​We were passing through on our motorcycle and stopped at "Grottino" in the historic center of San Felice Circeo (be careful not to confuse it with the one at the port!). We just wanted a quick seafood pasta dish, but we were pleasantly surprised by how quick and, above all, excellent it was. ​The seafood pasta was incredibly fresh, expertly cooked, and incredibly flavorful—a true pleasure. ​Besides the excellent cuisine, the service deserves special praise. The owner, Federico, is the true soul of the place: helpful, attentive, and clearly trained to make every customer feel at ease and accommodate every request. A true professional! ​If you're looking for authentic and delicious seafood cuisine combined with top-notch service, this is the place. We'll definitely be back later to try the rest of the menu. Highly recommended!
