28/08/2025: An excellent experience. I had a truly memorable experience at this restaurant. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, creating a very welcoming atmosphere. I had the opportunity to taste dishes from times gone by, increasingly rare, and of exceptional quality. The care with which they were prepared was evident in every bite. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves traditional cuisine and wants a unique experience.

22/08/2025: The food is good, but the prices are out of proportion for what you get. A snapper tartare for €24 for two measly bites is simply absurd. There's no menu at the table: you order almost blind. The experience doesn't justify the final bill.

10/11/2025: A birthday lunch to forget. The only exception was the courtesy of the server at our table: without batting an eyelid, he recognized that the seafood platter that had arrived at our table was swimming in tomato-colored water and promptly took it back.

22/10/2025: I had dinner at this little restaurant with my mom; it was recommended to us by a very kind local man. We had a wonderful time (the best culinary experience we had in Sicily). Fresh fish, carefully prepared dishes, everything delicious!! Warm and welcoming restaurant. The owner, a young man, was extremely kind, warm, and very "family-like." 27/08/2025: I'll start by saying the food deserves a 5-star rating. I'll start with what I didn't like: the number of appetizers brought and charged. I had asked for one supplì and a portion of Ascoli olives to nibble on. When I saw the number of items delivered, I thought it was a sign of special customer service, but instead I found myself billed for 5 supplì and 2 portions of Ascoli olives (when I remember, I'd asked for 1 and 1). I had 2 carbonaras, one amatriciana (both excellent and plentiful), a pizza with sausage and chips (excellent dough), and a sausage and potatoes. Half a white wine and water. Finally, 2 lemon sorbets, a black truffle, and 2 rounds of 2 limoncellos. All 4 limoncellos were charged, when with a dinner like that, I honestly expected at least 1 round to be offered. Of course, we asked for a double round, so it's fair to have to pay. I was definitely more annoyed by the charge for the appetizers. For the rest, the place is absolutely recommended.

13/10/2025: I spent a few days in Florence with my mother, and this was the best restaurant we ate at. We loved it so much and were so comfortable that we returned several times. The service was excellent, they were very friendly, the food was quality, well-priced, and the dishes were plentiful. Although there were many dishes we didn't get to try, we highly recommend the mixed fries, the grilled salmon, and the tiramisu. The wine was excellent.

The food is good, but the portions are quite small for the octopus with creamed potatoes, the seafood salad, the fried fish, and the rice, but the prices are high. Recommended first course: the spaghetti al cartoccio.

Completely forgotten, as they were serving the later tables first. They say they were short on waiters, but from the reviews, it's clear that's happened before.

04/05/2025: Welcome to Locanda La Pioppa, between Via Emilia and the West, a few steps from the motorway and the unrivaled craftsmanship of the Truck Driver Monument. An oasis for robust stomachs and tired souls, where time has stopped, probably to have a sambuca. Proudly preserved 90s interiors and zoological-hallucinogenic wallpaper with intellectual raccoons, mystical birds and assorted mammals. Friendly and welcoming staff. We ate well. Super generous dishes, perhaps a little too tasty: 1 plate of Fantasia di Mare scialatielli (and oil), peppered mussels (which are actually Taranto-style mussels), 1 portion of grilled vegetables and 1 bottle of water. Cost: 41.50. An honest amount for a hearty meal and a digestion that will end in a few weeks but the atmosphere is so irresistible that we will be back!
