03/08/2025: We had lunch in Ortona Marina while passing through. The food was excellent, with excellent seafood at great prices. There were 14 of us, and we were served quickly and together. Highly recommended!

10/07/2025: The beach on Elba that absolutely must be visited. The hotel offers everything, including a golf course with a lake. Tennis, swimming pools, and even a small church. Behind the promontory, an enchanting walk takes you to a wild bay. On the way back, stop at the Hermitage and ask for Fabio, the cocktail boy. You won't find anything like it except in the best bars in London or New York. They're expensive (about €25), but he prepares them for you with incredible ingredients, explaining the process in a breathtaking setting. UPDATE 2025: For about two summers, the currents in the bay have changed, and the sea in front of the Hermitage is still very (very) dirty. The panoramic path along the coast has been closed.

12/07/2025: Bad food and small portions. For us, the worst restaurant in all of Elba. Everywhere was full, except here. We came here because of the good reviews, but we were very disappointed 😞.

08/07/2025: Lovely food, local products, 3 types of different home made bread. Extremely attentive waiter who went out of his way to accommodate us. The manager came by our table every once in a while too to check on everything. We just had a lovely time here.

15/07/2025: For the restaurant only: My family and I came here for a sunset dinner, during summer. We sat outside on the doc at the marina and had a lovely view with impeccable service. We ordered the mussels with red sauce, amberjack fish with salad, local red wine, bread and olive oil. Food was well prepared, delicious, and had a lovely presentation. The dining tables were covered in linens and menu had a wide variety of seafood and pasta dishes. The view of the boats and the sunset were the cherry on top. We arrived by taking the elevator down from the top of city (separate from the restaurant / BnB) and walked the marina and beach for a while before coming to this restaurant. I highly recommend!

06/07/2025: Suggested by friends, yesterday I wanted to try. I was disappointed, I chose a tuna tartare, on a bed of apple pieces, spicy sauce and wasabi. Combination of flavors, for my tastes, not the best. The first, I chose paccheri alla ricciola, good sauce but little fish and raw pasta. The proposed menu is fixed and you can't combine anything. The idea of ​​a mixed seafood appetizer is faded, you have to take the portions individually. In general the menu is designed mainly for tourists.

22/07/2025: Sconsiglio questo locale per vari motivi: - luogo poco climatizzato; - polpette di pesce con solo pane; - spaghetti alle vongole che sembravano spaghetti aglio e olio; - dolci esposti quando dovrebbero, in realtà, essere conservati in frigo e serviti caldi alternando il gusto; -porzioni mini e prezzi elevati ; ma per ultimo un trattamento pessimo nei confronti di mio figlio di 3 anni invitato a stare zitto dalla proprietaria, che con toni offensivi e volgari si è rivolta al piccolo,terrorizzandolo. Lei era seduta a tavola, e non voleva essere DISTURBATA dal VOCIARE dei bambini, perché presa dal vedere la fiction, con le CIABATTE rigorosamente tolte sotto al tavolo, in più faceva entra ed esci dalla cucina. L'idea è :"io sono la proprietaria e tu devi fare quello che dico io"... L'educazione dovrebbe averla Lei nei confronti dei clienti.

En primer lugar, nos presentamos a una reserva en otro restaurante cercano para encontrarlo cerrado ... así que tuvimos que pellizcar golpe, y habíamos visto las pegatinas Michelin en La Colombina mientras caminábamos, así que volví para preguntar si nos podían tomar como una mesa de tres. ¡Sí, tenían un lugar para nosotros! El restaurante es manejado por expertos por una señora (no conseguimos su nombre, pero otras críticas mencionaron Adriana? ) que parece ser el propietario. Si ella no es la dueña, ella está muy atenta a todo al igual que ella es la dueña. También tenía un pequeño perro durmiendo bajo sus pies que pensamos que era un toque lindo. ¡Esta señora vigiló absolutamente todo y se aseguró de que todo funcionara tan bien como un reloj! ¡Y fue como un reloj! Incluso sugirió cómo podríamos compartir un risotto de tinta de calamar como primer plato para uno de nosotros y un segundo plato para la otra persona que comparte - fue un rompecabezas logístico y ella regresó a la mesa para decirnos que había pensado en cómo podría funcionar! Bueno, este nivel de servicio atento y atento no es fácil de encontrar. A la señora no se le escapó nada, ¿sabes este tipo de servicio que pasa cuando alguien está mirando y corrigiendo silenciosamente, asintiendo, prodding cosas con todos los servidores para asegurarse de que todo va bien? ¡Eso es lo que tienes aquí! Fue una experiencia mágica, y sin embargo tan simple. La comida también era mágica. A un nivel de calidad muy alto, un tamaño de servicio y un precio resonantes en línea con lo que obtiene. Bravo a La Colombina, es uno de los restaurantes que no investigamos ni revisamos de antemano y tuvimos que ir allí en el momento en que nuestro otro restaurante estaba cerrado inesperadamente, y sin embargo, fue posiblemente el mejor restaurante que experimentamos en este viaje! 27/07/2025: The restaurant we were staying at for our stay in Vasto was recommended, but unfortunately, it didn't satisfy us. The seafood salad was nothing special, the roasted octopus was very good, but the side potatoes were days old and dry—we had to leave them out. The spaghetti with clams were missing the clams, which tasted only of wine. The child's fries were boiled and undercooked. The chicken cutlet was the pre-cooked kind. A glass of wine and a bottle of water—€93. We were very disappointed with the evening because we expected more from such a renowned restaurant in the area.
