10/08/2026: Traumatic experience. There was no way to sit inside, and the outside space wasn't ventilated; it was scorching hot. They served us beers right away, and even though the place wasn't full, the three pizzas we ordered arrived over an hour late, forcing us to wash them down with warm beers. The pizza with the ricotta crust I ordered was tiny, as they didn't take into account that if you rolled the crust over, it would significantly reduce in diameter. Furthermore, it was very runny, difficult to eat, and quite burnt. The menu said "mozzarella bites," and it arrived with a whole mozzarella in the middle. Not a single thing was right; avoid it.

18/07/2026: The menu isn't very extensive, and that's a plus in my opinion. The first courses were really good. The meat could be improved. The tagliata was good, but some pieces were really too thin. The Tuscan mucco was a bit disappointing. We would have expected a more intense flavor, but that wasn't the case. A small point about the location. It's true that the evening was hot, but the lack of air conditioning inside and a few fans outside made the evening less pleasant. If everyone starts fanning themselves... a solution has to be found. Otherwise, everything was fine. Nothing to complain about, either about the service or the value for money.

02/08/2026: Horrible place, deadly heat, no air conditioning...very slow service, the meat tasted like dead meat and the mushrooms seemed fake...I spent a lot and instead of rounding down the price, they rounded it up and embarrassed me by wanting to be right. I absolutely do not recommend it.

15/08/2026: We've been to Ristorante Il Porto in Viareggio several times now and always love coming back. The food is, as always, excellent, the service is exceptionally friendly and attentive, and you simply feel completely at ease. But what truly makes Il Porto special is its stunning location right on the harbor. Enjoying dinner with a view of the boats and the sunset is simply beautiful and, in our opinion, hardly comparable to any other location in Viareggio. We're already looking forward to our next visit. It's always a highlight for us!

14/08/2026: We are Italian living abroad and coming usually every year. The food is excellent but the service isn’t as it must be for this kind of restaurant. The waiters are not attentive, the essential cutlery to eat the lobster weren’t provided, long timing standing with hands to ask for additional water and the bill. We had to go to the cashier and waiting additional time to pay. Very disappointing the service as the food is amazing.

07/08/2026: This is an amazing place to eat where the locals meet. Outside of the tourist area of Virareggio Boulevard. Look and feel of this warm and trendy Italian restaurant is perfect. Great style of interieur and matching colours. Staff were very friendly and had patience with our questions about the menu. Food was perfect! Will definitely come back!

20/08/2026: A terrible, forgettable 0-star experience. We had reserved a table for 7 people at 8:00 PM with a confirmed seat. We arrived early and were seated outside. As soon as we sat down, without even giving us time to open the menus, the staff began insistently pressuring us to order, even arguing with each other in front of us in their rush to take our order. While we were ordering, they brought us 4 bottles of water (€12). Within minutes, the weather worsened dramatically and a thunderstorm rolled in. We asked to move the table inside to avoid the rain, and the incredible response was that yes, we could move, but we absolutely had to vacate the table by 8:45 PM for another reservation. With 7 people, it was impossible to dine and enjoy the evening in 35 minutes. While we were trying to figure out what to do, the platters arrived; we immediately stopped them, explaining that we wouldn't be staying in the rain. At that point, the owner intervenes and, in an aggressive and completely unprofessional tone, tells us that if we had continued arguing, we would have lost that table as well. Shocked by such rudeness, pressured, and treated with no respect, we decide to get up and leave. To make matters worse, we're presented with the €12 bill for just the opened bottles of water. I go to pay and, instead of receiving an apology for the poor service and the embarrassing situation, we're even blamed. Restaurant isn't just about serving food, it's also about welcoming and respecting customers. This place completely lacks both. Highly not recommended.

15/08/2026: We stopped at this restaurant right after a guided tour. It's a beautiful place, clean and well-maintained. We ate on the terrace and the local food was beautifully presented and cooked. We were particularly impressed by the courtesy of the waiters.

07/05/2026: We had lunch after visiting the Calomini Hermitage. Dishes were prepared with farm produce. The food was generous enough to satisfy at least two people. Everything was delicious at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.
