Recommended without hesitation!
19/08/2025: Itaco Pizza in Lucca is friendly, very reasonably priced and best of all delicious food. The Proscuitto & funghi pizza is delicious. Be warned the large pizzas are huge. Not fancy but good wholesome food.

We waited 40 minutes for a drink order, and another 40 minutes for the waiter to come take our order. In response to the owner's comments, yes, I was at the wrong restaurant. It was called DA FRANCO.

We enjoyed a great evening here with a delicious “Gustosa” salad, followed by an outstanding fresh mortadella pizza, accompanied by a Tuscan “Montelpuciano” wine. Highly recommend this place for a perfect evening! Thank Leonardo for your great service!! 😉

Unfortunately, 'Old Charlie Lucca' is a restaurant focused on serving tourists in large numbers, very quickly.
The otherwise pleasant waiter "gathers" tourists strolling through the square.
The food is decent at best.
The atmosphere is "touristy," and this isn't a place where you'll even come close to the atmosphere of a true Tuscan trattoria.
Too bad.

Very well with the wine. In addition, we had made a reservation and they called us two hours before to accommodate us outside if we wanted. We had dinner at night in that beautiful square where you can only breathe peace and tranquility. If you go to Lucca, book without a doubt!

Non ci siamo concentrati sui primi, che, però, sono sicura che meritano: abbiamo provato la tartare come antipasto (tra l'altro servita con maionese fatta in casa) ed era davvero incredibile! Poi abbiamo preso una fiorentina, servita con un contorno a scelta tra quelli proposti e, devo dire, ottima! Materie prime bene selezionate e sanno lavorarle a modo!
Nota di merita per la buonissima focaccia che servono insieme al pane, suppongo fatta in casa!

Photonic food, the truly special beef tartare is to be recommended.
Very welcoming and helpful owner. Excellent range of wines to accompany the meal.
We were also lucky enough to meet some wonderful people who made it a special evening.
Thank you so much. I hope to return on other occasions.

23/08/2025: I've been here several times before, and it's once again a well-maintained establishment. I also recommend checking out the charming internal garden. The varied menu is interesting. They also accept dogs. Highly recommended for a dinner in the heart of Pietrasanta.

02/10/2025: We went there for the second time and had spaghetti vongole again; it was the best we've ever had! The service is excellent; the chef, Luca, is there personally to greet his guests, and you can only pay the bill directly with him.
