Very well-kept and welcoming place! Friendly staff...the food is really good and of excellent quality.

There were seven of us at Trattoria Bonini, and unfortunately, we had a disappointing experience. Several appetizers were served with the main courses, so some of us had already finished eating before the others received their meals. One guest was even completely forgotten and had to wait another 20 minutes. This is particularly annoying because this restaurant is recommended for its cuisine in the Italian book "Osteria d'Italia 2026." One wonders if these recommendations aren't fake, because if so, this book is probably worthless. The service was unfriendly, and it seemed like everything we ordered was too much. The food itself was good, but the long wait times spoiled our enjoyment. It should be a given that everyone receives their meal together, as it should be. Because of the frustrating wait, we skipped dessert, as we were quite annoyed. We arrived at 7:15 pm, and the last person didn't receive their forgotten meal until 9:00 pm.

We've been coming here for many years and always enjoy it. The food is always delicious and of high quality. Typical Garfagnana cuisine with homemade pasta, meat, and desserts – simply delicious!

A wonderful place where you can find excellent food served with great skill, kindness, and a passion for their craft. An honorable mention goes to the selection of cheeses, which the owner, a highly skilled cheese taster, presents, explaining their characteristics and offering a sensory journey. Congratulations indeed!

Very good and everything is delicious

Everything was excellent, the service was friendly and the quality was excellent. The only flaw was a slight cooking smell in the dining room adjacent to the kitchen. They have another dining room upstairs. Otherwise, highly recommended. 💯

What can I say? It's a small but welcoming place, a bit like being at home, with quality materials and excellent professional preparation. The service was a bit cold, almost annoyed. It's true that the Garfagnana area is different from the Versilia area, but I knew that in Garfagnana, people are very friendly, and instead we encountered cold behavior, almost annoyed by our presence. Three well-mannered teenagers and five adults traveling for a match. Other than that, I recommend it for the food and the tranquility, but it's best to make a reservation given the limited seating.
