16/03/2026: We had booked with The Fork, they cancelled the reservation with the reason "closure of the restaurant" instead, passing by us to reach another restaurant we see that it is open...

13/03/2026: Truly excellent restaurant in the Darsena district of Viareggio. A charming and well-kept venue with a very pleasant atmosphere. The food was excellent, and the service was attentive, friendly, and professional. We started with a five-course appetizer, each one more delicious than the last. This was followed by a sublime Viareggio-style risotto, and truly special paccheri with calamari and shrimp. To finish, a homemade dessert: a simply wonderful strudel with ice cream. An experience I absolutely recommend.

03/06/2026: It's just as I remembered it when I first came here 25 years ago. It serves traditional dishes expertly crafted by an experienced kitchen. Fresh pasta, exceptional soups, flans, tender cuts of meat, good house wine... the owner is also incredibly friendly. What more can I say? A must-see when passing through Gallicano. Enjoy your meal!

04/05/2026: Da Filippo, in Versilia: elegant restaurant, attentive service, and well-prepared dishes. Prices are higher than in other areas, but it's a great experience. I recommend it.

11/05/2026: We were supposed to go to another restaurant in the area, but it was closed for a private party. I asked the manager where I'd go for dinner. He sent me to Beppino, and I'd say he was right. As soon as I walked in, I knew it was the place I like: rustic but well-kept, the staff were kind and friendly, and the dinner was excellent, featuring traditional local products. I was also satisfied with the bill, which was very good value for money. So, what can I say? I'll be back when I'm in the area and will recommend it to friends and readers. Bye!

16/05/2026: Fine and not expensive The decor is pleasantly timeless, just like the menu. Authentic dishes. Wine by the bottle, lots of choice but a somewhat pricey selection, so I went for the cheaper house wine at €7 for half a liter. Was okay. Nice cured meats, cheese, and Crostini platter. Guinea fowl with patates al forno. Unfortunately, the sauce on the scallopina al vino Bianco seemed a bit of a failure. Watery and lacking in wine flavor. The desserts, however, were fine, especially crema catalana and cantucci with vin santo. Not a 5 because of that wine sauce before the food. It got quite busy with two larger groups. All in all, a pleasant place and adequate service.

02/06/2026: We're a big fan of Rome, and we came to this restaurant for lunch on a weekday in late May, trusting previous reviews. The restaurant, which is also a bar, is located right in the city center, under the porticoes. We ate outside and were warmly welcomed by the charming, friendly, and helpful owner. The lunch menu featured simple dishes, for a quick and informal meal, but despite that, everything was very good and served quickly. The wine by the glass was also good, the quality/price ratio was exceptional, and the entire staff was truly friendly and helpful. If we're ever in the area again in the future, we'll definitely be back to say hello and enjoy your dishes, perhaps this time for dinner. Congratulations and thank you again! Andrea and Antonella

30/05/2026: A wonderfully situated little osteria with a great view and rustic, yet excellent cuisine. Prices are very reasonable. The service was incredibly friendly; we had a fantastic evening and would definitely return. Reservations are recommended on weekends!

Today at Ristorante Mecenate, we took a journey among the small producers who make this land great. 🍷✨ ​The beginning was poetic: Gnocchi allo Zola, but not just any Zola. A cheese made by Monica from Valgiano with the milk of a single, very special cow named Camilla. Knowing where what you eat comes from completely changes your perception of taste. ​We continued with pure tradition: homemade Tacconi with rabbit sauce, coarse and flavorful, exactly as they should be. ​The climax came with a platter of five raw milk cheeses. A mapping of the local pastures that brought together: ​The excellence of Monica Ferrucci from Valgiano; ​The character of Pierpaolo Piagneri from Filattiera; ​The wisdom of the Giorgi family from Castelvecchio di Compito; ​The purity of Il Caprile from Massa. ​To finish on a sweet note, a wafer with shepherd's ricotta and organic lime honey, accompanied by rosé wine from the Valle del Sole winery. 20/05/2026: After a busy day, we called the restaurant to get a table as soon as possible. The staff took immediate action, and by 7:20 pm we were ready to be served. The welcome was sublime, extremely professional, the Maître d' impeccable, and the Sommelier was fantastic. We both had an elephant ear, a bottle of Dicatum (recommended), a chocolate cake, and a semifreddo. The sunset and perfect background music were a must. Thank you so much.
