21/11/2025: It's a favorite place, but unfortunately, on the last three occasions, something has gone wrong. Once the ravioli were very salty, once the tagliolini were loose, once the seafood was watery. I assume something has changed in the kitchen. My rating isn't negative, but I hope you'll soon return to your "recent" glories. In my opinion, it's the most beautiful and characteristic restaurant in Viareggio.

15/03/2026: I went for lunch on Sunday, two seafood grills, a quarter of wine plus a glass of house red, plus dessert, a bottle of water, and coffee, 85 euros!!! It seems a lot to me!! I didn't order two pans, and this is the first time I'm writing a review, so what I ordered is what I wrote... otherwise it wouldn't have been 85 euros with two pans and I wouldn't have complained 😀

21/11/2025: Exceptional experience, we went for dinner. The food was excellent. We chose classic pasta dishes like tordelli with ragù for starters, which were delicious; and something different, like paccheri with sausage and goat cheese, which were also delicious. But there were many other dishes on the menu. The main courses were all very good, too: fried lamb cutlets, fried chicken and rabbit, and the beef tartare; side dishes included fried artichokes, chips, and a pioppini mushroom and potato flan. For dessert, we had warm apple pie with vanilla ice cream, peach sorbet, and crème brûlée... all delicious. Generous portions, kind, friendly, and attentive staff... a family atmosphere. ...It was a lovely evening, definitely worth repeating! I highly recommend it!

25/01/2026: We ordered a Giglio pizza, which was quite good, and a plate of pappardelle alla Garfagnina. The pasta sauce was extremely dry, as if it had been cooked for lunch and served for dinner. A dish like that should never be served in a restaurant.

13/03/2026: The waitress was very friendly and gave us good advice. Excellent appetizer with quality cured meats, crostini, and cheese. The meat was good, with fries (thick ones) and a vegetable platter. The tart with chestnut flour and local ricotta was delicious! The house wine was also good. Good value. I love the house mascot, "the big cat."

13/03/2026: Truly excellent restaurant in the Darsena district of Viareggio. A charming and well-kept venue with a very pleasant atmosphere. The food was excellent, and the service was attentive, friendly, and professional. We started with a five-course appetizer, each one more delicious than the last. This was followed by a sublime Viareggio-style risotto, and truly special paccheri with calamari and shrimp. To finish, a homemade dessert: a simply wonderful strudel with ice cream. An experience I absolutely recommend.

23/03/2026: I had Sunday lunch at this restaurant, located in a pleasant and somewhat remote spot in Garfagnana. We had a bit of a hard time finding the location, but we had a very good lunch. The atmosphere was quaint, the service was average, and the friendly and helpful Mrs. Lorietta dropped by. The homemade tortelli(ni) and macaroni with meat sauce were spectacular, as was the fried chicken, dry and crispy. The strawberry ice cream and house red wine were excellent. All at a great price. We'll be back.

26/03/2026: A no-fuss cafe/restaurant on the Piazza San Francesco that's popular with locals and offering honest, simple local food. Service started off a bit slow, but the staff warmed to us, so no real complaints there. Our mid-week evening visit saw us enjoy roast chicken with potatoes (galletto con patate - a whole poussin, beautifully cooked, and delicious potatoes out of the oven = €15), meatballs (Le nostre polpette = €6, with wild greens on the side = €5), three glasses of white wine (Valle del sole bicchiere @ €4 per glass), a rich dessert (€3.50) and a bottle of water at €2. Total (including a €1 cover charge per person) = €45.50. Great value, simple yet great food, and a great find. Well worth visiting!

13/03/2026: The best bar-osteria in Piazza San Francesco. Always very friendly staff, excellent food, and a welcoming location. If you're in Lucca's historic center, I highly recommend stopping by! And now they're offering homemade gnocchi on Thursdays—delicious and not to be missed! The chef is the best in the world!
