16/08/2026: Highly recommended! A dinner fit for a king!

16/08/2026: I had dinner with my family at this restaurant, which we'd heard great things about, but unfortunately, our expectations were definitely not met. The water service itself left us perplexed: the bottles of still water were brought to the table already opened, without being opened in front of us, which inevitably leaves some doubt as to the water's origin. As for the first courses, overall, we weren't particularly impressed. Furthermore, some dishes used small frozen shrimp, a choice that, in our opinion, is unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber and with these expectations. At least, the first courses didn't have any particular technical errors. The second courses were a different story: we were served completely raw potatoes and raw green beans, which were also not properly cleaned. It's a real shame, because the restaurant looks very nice and the atmosphere is pleasant, but in our opinion, the cuisine absolutely doesn't live up to expectations and the level the restaurant seems to aim for. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we cannot recommend it.

03/06/2026: It's just as I remembered it when I first came here 25 years ago. It serves traditional dishes expertly crafted by an experienced kitchen. Fresh pasta, exceptional soups, flans, tender cuts of meat, good house wine... the owner is also incredibly friendly. What more can I say? A must-see when passing through Gallicano. Enjoy your meal!

23/08/2026: Disappointing final lunch in Lucca For our last lunch in Lucca, we were really looking forward to a long, lazy Italian lunch with antipasti followed by pasta. We wanted somewhere authentic and local, and this restaurant had some great reviews, so we were excited to try it. We arrived just after opening, so admittedly there was only one other table occupied. However, there was no real welcome or greeting, no music and absolutely no atmosphere. The waitress didn't smile once during our entire visit, and although the restaurant gradually filled up, the atmosphere never really improved. We ordered the antipasti to start, which was okay, although the menu described it as raw meat. We understand what they meant, but perhaps calling it cured meats would make it sound rather more appealing! Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. The air conditioning directly above us started dripping onto us, which wasn't exactly ideal. The kitchen staff seemed to be watching our table, and the moment we finished our last mouthful of antipasti, our pasta arrived. My pasta was actually cold, which made us wonder whether it had been sitting ready in the kitchen waiting for us to finish. It was also, unfortunately, rather bland. As soon as we'd finished our pasta, the bill was brought over without us asking for it. It completely took away any chance of enjoying the long, relaxed lunch we'd been hoping for. It's a family-run restaurant and we really wanted to love it, but this simply wasn't the experience we expected. We left Lucca on a bit of a low, particularly because we'd eaten at some lovely places during our stay and there are so many better restaurants in the beautiful piazzas. Perhaps we caught them on a bad day, but based on our experience, we would not recommend Sadly this restaurant never takes criticism well and it's always the customer fault. We were extremely polite and tried to engage with staff but sadly they were just miserable. Background music makes for a wonderful atmosphere and sadly we didn't clear our plates

22/08/2026: We booked following the B&B's instructions and checking the website, hoping to find a traditional, non-touristy place. Our expectations were completely met!!! Excellent, simple, delicious food. The meat was spectacular. The staff were friendly and helpful. The host was a real character who entertained us with very interesting anecdotes. We'll definitely be back!

01/08/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Incredible Neapolitan pizza right by the sea! We visited this pizzeria during an evening walk in Lido di Camaiore and were completely delighted! The pizza here is a true Neapolitan classic. The staff is very friendly, and the service is fast, despite the large number of guests. A separate plus is the cozy atmosphere with summer tables on the street. The price-quality ratio for this location is simply excellent. We will definitely come back here again!

11/08/2026: The service was excellent, the food was good, and the dessert was fantastic. We had had terrible dinners two nights in a row in Lucca, and this fast food was a very pleasant surprise.

23/06/2026: La Quercia was without a doubt one of the best restaurants I've ever tried. I'll start by saying that the owner was incredibly kind and helpful. The location is wonderful, completely immersed in greenery, an oasis of peace, and it's also extremely clean. And now comes the highlight! The menu offered so many interesting and original options, a quality that's hard to find these days. The flavors and aromas were intoxicating. Each dish was prepared and served with the utmost care. The desserts were not only beautiful to look at but also delicious. I recommend everyone to visit La Quercia and if I could, I'd give it 10 stars! My husband and I will definitely be back; we love traveling and reviewing such special and unique places!

02/08/2026: A good evening with food that lived up to expectations. The hot seafood appetizer was good. Perhaps a minor complaint is the fried fish, which was supposed to include mixed seafood, as I requested, but only the mixed seafood arrived. It was good! ...I plan to return.

12/08/2026: Large restaurant, very reasonable prices. They offer pizzas (very thin and crispy), many antipasti, pasta, meat, etc. Very friendly staff. Large outdoor seating area, excellent value for money.

11/08/2026: Every year we come to spend a few days on vacation in Pietrasanta. A stop we can't miss is Da Franco. It's definitely worth the few kilometers by car. The food is excellent and plentiful. The setting, surrounded by greenery, is very relaxing. The service is attentive. Finding fried porcini mushrooms, pork ribs, gnocco fritto, and other Tuscan specialties in the summer is a real treat that whets the appetite! The pizza is also good. Thanks for a lovely evening!!

12/08/2026: First we were for lunch, the restaurant was full, but we waited two minutes for a table and were able to eat, the food was good and quickly prepared. Penne with ragu, although probably a child's portion, was enough. The second visit was for dinner, I can't say anything about the aglio, olio, pepperoncino pasta, but we were bothered by the music, it was playing terribly loud, and it overlapped with some other one, just chaos. Overall - for a reasonable price you can get good food not far from Torre Guigini, but be prepared for noise.
