17/04/2026: Quality restaurant just outside the walls.

23/01/2026: Elegant and welcoming location. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. The risotto of the day was cacio e pepe, creamy and flavorful. The tagliata and tagliolini with truffle were also very good. Attentive and friendly service. We had a wonderful time.

14/07/2026: The table was very close to another, meaning zero privacy. They placed us on a veranda that had no interesting view and was really too hot even with the air conditioning pointing at the tables. I would have preferred them to tell me they didn't have any seats.

26/06/2026: Located on the hill overlooking the town, ilbristoranteb has indoor dining rooms and terraces with white gazebos where you can gaze out over the valley. A wide selection of wines, excellent hospitality and helpful service, and good food. Although, in my opinion, the tartare should be served with a raw egg. The atmosphere was wonderful, although on a couple of occasions it was interrupted by birthday celebrations.

21/11/2025: Exceptional experience, we went for dinner. The food was excellent. We chose classic pasta dishes like tordelli with ragù for starters, which were delicious; and something different, like paccheri with sausage and goat cheese, which were also delicious. But there were many other dishes on the menu. The main courses were all very good, too: fried lamb cutlets, fried chicken and rabbit, and the beef tartare; side dishes included fried artichokes, chips, and a pioppini mushroom and potato flan. For dessert, we had warm apple pie with vanilla ice cream, peach sorbet, and crème brûlée... all delicious. Generous portions, kind, friendly, and attentive staff... a family atmosphere. ...It was a lovely evening, definitely worth repeating! I highly recommend it!

25/12/2025: The food wasn't great; the cold cuts looked like they came from a supermarket box. The place wasn't super clean and it was cold. I wouldn't recommend it for families, especially young kids.

09/08/2026: Terrible experience. I used to frequent this historic restaurant when it was located in the center of Torre del Lago. The quality was extremely high, and I remember dining there at the highest level. Last night, the seafood rice was unpresentable. The portion was small and, above all, lacked a variety of seafood: three mussels, no clams, no prawns or scampi. It's a dish that can't be made with just squid and cuttlefish. The seafood appetizer is illogical. It's presented with a sort of fruit salad that seems piled together just for bulk, again to the detriment of the fish, which doesn't stand out and is sparse. The rudeness of the waiter left everyone speechless. They misread the number of people in our reservation and seemed annoyed to find a table for three instead of two. I asked for the dish of the day and was told to wait until they had finished reading the à la carte menu (which, incidentally, I can read for myself since there is a menu). I asked about celiac disease, and the visibly annoyed woman told me, "That's something you have to tell us when you present it." (I should point out that I'd asked when I booked, and they said it wouldn't be a problem.) Finally, I asked how the seafood salad was served, and she said mixed vegetables, only to then arrive with an absurd fruit creation. Lombardi was something else, and above all, a different style. I can sadly say that everything has been lost.

05/08/2026: We discovered Osteria St. Bartholomeo in Lucca by chance. From the greeting to the service, everything was top-notch. The ambiance was fantastic. The steak was excellent. The pasta was freshly made. The cocktails were delicious. The service was friendly, quick, and welcoming. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening. We were delighted.

02/08/2026: We didn't have a good experience, it was too expensive compared to the nearby toilets....the toilets were tiny, not even one person could fit.....the food was so-so...the seafood starter was warm, the crustaceans were dirty with all the intestines, not to mention the mussels, out of 10 mussels, 6 were just shells...what can I say, disappointing for what you spend.

12/06/2026: Just been for lunch. We had been for an evening dinner last week and it was fine. Nice but ok. Today we went for lunch. The starters are about €10 and the mains €22. The portions are quite small and the food was only luke warm. It tasted nice but it's expensive for what you get. In the evening you get a bread bag but no oil or butter so it's quite dry to eat. Maybe your supposed to eat it with your main meal but then why serve it so early? Also the portions are so small there's not much sauce to soak up the bread with. No bread provided today at lunch time. Service is ok but like most Italian towns and villages there's no rush. I wish we had ordered 2 starters instead of a starter and a main. Same amount of food but cheaper.

10/08/2026: Today for lunch for my birthday we went to this place found by chance on Google.....fresh and very good fish, the portions are really generous, welcoming and friendly staff, the quality/price ratio is very good, we will definitely be back very soon

09/08/2026: A great find just steps from Viareggio's seafront, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The varied menu features both seafood and meat dishes, respecting tradition and simplicity, yet executed with excellence. Fresh fish and homemade pasta. Excellent value!
