02/08/2025: Very good restaurant. Friendly staff, beautiful venue with a fairly thoughtful design, and the sea view always adds that extra touch. The food was very good, but I would make one clarification. The first courses were excellent and beautiful, like the gnocco or risotto. The desserts were equally as good, especially the lemon one. The second courses left a little to be desired, like the tuna belly, where the fat was hard rather than melting (and the presentation was more like a trattoria than a fine restaurant). I would still recommend it, of course.

15/07/2025: Beautiful restaurant located on the beach of Giglio Porto, not far from the port of Giglio Island. We had a delicious mussels with pepper sauce as an appetizer and paccheri with swordfish and eggplant as a main course, and I must say, everything was truly excellent! The mascarpone with biscotti and macchiato were also delicious! The staff is friendly and professional, perhaps the only slightly negative thing is the enormous number of wasps surrounding you while you're eating. However, a waiter informed us that Giglio Island has been infested with a huge number of wasps this year, and a disinfestation program is underway to address this situation. Kudos to the entire staff!

06/08/2025: A quiet place for a family dinner. The pizza is good and generously topped (in a good way, obviously). The crust doesn't retain its flavor for very long, but it's easy to digest.

06/08/2025: I'm only judging the appetizer I ordered: crostini with typical sauces. I was disappointed because they were overpriced at €10 for what was served. They consist of toasted bread with sauces served in four small bowls. The sauces aren't typical (mostly mayonnaise). I question the price for what I ate. I've had crostini with sauces at other places in Maremma for €10, but they were really well made. I recommend removing them from the menu if they're served like this.

13/07/2025: Ristorante in una bellissima location , ottimamente arredato. Siamo stati accolti con cura da personale e dal proprietario. Pranzo a base di pesce , abbiamo preso una tempura di crostacei , spaghetti mono grano alle vongole ( ottimi) , baccalà e frittura. Tutto ben cucinato e presentato . Merita senz'altro una visita e consigliamo vivamente .

21/08/2025: Our personal experience: the place is nice and clean, the staff is very kind and helpful. The food isn't bad, just average. We tried a bit of everything, from appetizers to pizzas to pasta dishes. Among these, the best dish was the spaghetti with tomato sauce—simple, perfectly cooked, and plentiful. We were disappointed, however, with the Caprese salad: three slices of tomato and three slices of mozzarella (regular mozzarella, not buffalo mozzarella) for €14 each. A macchiato is €3, a regular coffee is €2.50. €3 per person for a cover charge (knife, fork, and paper napkin). In our opinion, these prices are high for the quality-price ratio. To be fair, the receipt showing the prices paid is attached. We won't be returning.

21/08/2025: It's been years since I've found a restaurant that cooked fish this well. Perfect flavors, perfectly cooked. I ordered takeout yesterday, and it was packaged so well that it was still hot after an hour. You can see the attention they give to their customers from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely return. My heartfelt compliments to the entire staff for their friendliness and professionalism.

28/07/2025: This restaurant is located a little far from the Massa Marittima cathedral or the museum area, at the end of a medieval street, near the church of Sant'Michel. It offers tables inside or outside, on the street. It does not show any specific decoration or atmosphere. It is run by a family. The service is discreet, a little distant. I ordered a piece of meat that could not be served because it became tough when cooked. They had the decency to tell us so. The parpadelle with pork ragu were quite good, and so were the other dishes. The surprise came at dessert time. Non-existent menu. We left without being able to eat dessert. Quite amazing, it had never happened to me until I arrived in Toscana Marittima, where it seems that it is the norm to have a short, or very short, dessert menu, with one, two or three dishes to select at most. It seemed, a little, maybe it is a feeling, that they wanted to close, even though it was not very late, at noon. All in all strange.

15/07/2025: Purtroppo la mia esperienza in questo locale non è stata positiva. Non ho mangiato bene: i piatti non erano all’altezza delle aspettative, soprattutto considerando il prezzo, che ho trovato davvero eccessivo per la qualità e la quantità di ciò che ci è stato servito. Inoltre, le foto viste online non rispecchiano affatto la realtà: quello che ci è stato portato in tavola era molto diverso e decisamente meno invitante. Peccato, perché ero partita con aspettative alte. Non credo che tornerò.

31/08/2025: A negative experience to say the least. The place was very nice, but it was incredible that, on an already sparse menu, most of the dishes we chose were no longer available. The appetizers were decent, but the entrees were tragic. Pappardelle with wild boar ragù was actually tagliatelle, overcooked, and served with stew rather than ragù; tagliolini with truffle, with the most flavorless truffle I've ever eaten. Slow service, dishes brought in batches; an experience not to be repeated.

30/08/2025: An osteria that aims to combine Maremma cuisine with Argentario seafood. It doesn't succeed in either. The charcuterie board is unremarkable; good but not refined. The sliced ​​steak was tough and flavorless, despite being rare. The grilled calamari...to be forgotten; it's obviously a frozen product served as if it were fresh. A real shame, because the service was good and all the ingredients for a good osteria were there...

07/06/2025: A cena con amici. Location semplice ma nella campagna il che già mette bene. Per la cena....diciamo che mi evoca molto un pranzo domenicale, mi spiego meglio: Materie prime buone, cucina semplice, essenziale e senza fronzoli....se non esageri con le quantità ti alzi non appesantito e digerisci bene! Il cibo risulta buono, sapori casalinghi. Diciamo che si percepisce un po' di risparmio nell'insieme (tipologie di piatti) ma non nella qualità. Il servizio a buffet è praticamente una mensa con fila ...con sparecchiamento tra una portata e l'altra e finale 30 euro solo cibo e acqua, extra tutto il resto. Nell'insieme più che sufficiente, rapporto qualità prezzo abbastanza adeguato

04/06/2025: Con menù a prezzo fisso si mangia ottimo cibo e in quantità. Il posto è immerso nella natura e ci sono animali e piante a volontà. Ci è piaciuto tantissimo e speriamo di tornarci presto.

31/08/2025: Agriturismo Buratta is a place that strikes you first and foremost for its atmosphere: in the heart of Maremma, immersed in an authentic, rural setting, it immediately gives you the feeling of being somewhere far away from everything. The atmosphere is 100% rustic, with a house that still retains the simple, authentic charm of times gone by, yet has been tastefully transformed into a farmhouse. The staff is young, friendly, and knowledgeable (no complaints there, in fact: congratulations!!), with a welcoming smile that immediately makes you feel at ease. It should be noted, however, that there is no "service" in the traditional sense: after ordering, you are called over a loudspeaker to collect your tray with plates, cutlery, and everything else you need, and you set the table yourself. It's certainly an informal and unique experience, which you may or may not like, but it's worth considering, especially considering the price. There were four of us and we paid €28 each: a slightly high price considering the lack of full service, but more or less justified by the quality of the ingredients. The dishes are authentic, prepared with top-quality ingredients, and convey the authentic flavor of Maremma tradition. In short, an experience that leaves a lasting impression more for the atmosphere than the formality of the service!

29/08/2025: Fantastic. Excellent location, halfway between the tourist entrance to the Maremma Park and Orbetello. Clean farmhouse, clean rooms, excellent food with local specialties. Mr. Silvio is always available. Excellent value for money. In the evening, the waiters are always courteous and always try to please the guests. We'll be back.

27/07/2025: We had an awful experience!! I rarely think it’s worth writing a review, but this is close to comical. Ambiance is not bad, you’re on the water overlooking the harbor - but the trash cans right next to the deck is not great. It’s Italy and you gotta love the local vibe but the bees 🐝 it brings was a nuisance for everyone. All patrons were fighting them off and it almost became funny. This would all have been bearable if it wasn’t for the fact the food was really terrible. We had two pasta seafood dishes and both had the stench of rancid shellfish. We had all but one bite and knew eating more would make us sick. We will see… Oh - and it may seem silly to say this but one of the dishes had a big black hair on top. Seriously… you can’t make this up. They took all our food away untouched and never asked the obvious question — if everything was ok. Which may indicate they’re used to bringing full plates of food back to the kitchen. So - maybe just a bad night - but I’d stay clear of this place if I were you. ** upon reading owners response: Dear owner. Thank you for your response. I tried to talk to the manager yesterday but no one was around when I paid our bill. Maybe I should clarify as I find your reply totally inaccurate. How you respond to your customers giving you feedback is up to you, but let’s set the record straight; 1. Our wonderful hotel called your restaurant to see if we could get a later reservation, and when you said that was not possible - we happily obliged and arrived on time. We did not just do a “no show” as that would not have been fair to you. 2. You are correct in that we did politely ask the waiter for a different table when we arrived at 19:30 as the restaurant was empty and we - a family of 6 (2 adults and 4 kids ages 10-14) were seated next to a set of garbage cans with wasps swirling. Our waiter said he would check, but never got back to us with an answer so we proceeded with our meal at that table. 3. We were nothing but polite to our waiter no issue with him - and your comment about ripping the wine menu off his hands is a lie. Once we had ordered food he took all the menus - I asked for the wine menu back as we had yet to order wine with our food… I do not wish to engage in a back and forth. I am simply sharing our experience - which is what reviews are for. Hopefully our experience was a one off, and you continue to thrive - I would want nothing more for you and your restaurant. If there is anything you can take from this customer experience, then great. If you choose not to - thats your call. I still wish you and your business nothing but prosperity and happy customers.
