25/02/2026: During my four-day stay in Florence, this was the only restaurant that truly disappointed me, in a city with such a strong culinary scene. While the food wasn't completely bad, the quality was so mediocre it bordered on poor. The chicken breast arrived in small pieces, each one drier and chewier than the last. The truffle sauce was completely bland, very basic and lacking in flavor. The pasta was mediocre and overly salty. Fortunately, we weren't very hungry at the time and didn't order anything else. The ambiance is the only redeeming feature of the place: a quiet, peaceful space with traditional architecture and decor that lend it a certain warmth.

10/03/2026: I found it by chance. I was in Pontassieve for a medical appointment, and this place, a charming trattoria, was the closest to my destination. It was packed, and they managed to find us a table for two. Fast service and excellent food! Reasonably priced, we'll be back with friends!

Ambiente curato e personale gentilissimo rendono la cena una esperienza molto piacevole. Piatti ricercati e gustosi a dimostrazione che si può fare ristorazione senza glutine senza rinunciare al gusto. Punto di riferimento.

11/05/2025: Abbiamo festeggiato la comunione di nostra figlia a cena in questo ristorante da 10 e lode! Atmosfera intima con tutte le accortezze da parte del personale (preparatissimo)! Antipasti, straccetti al ragout bianco del casentino e filetto di cinta senese da sogno, sapori equilibrati ma allo stesso tempo intensi dell' alta qualità delle materie prime. Abbiamo optato per la torta preparata dalla Chef e che ha montato mentre mangiavamo il secondo piatto...non si poteva fare scelta migliore, è stata davvero la ciliegina che ha fatto concludere una cena degna di nota. Hanno particolare attenzione alle intolleranze, chi ne ha può stare tranquillo, mangia con gli stessi tempi degli altri invitati e, a detta dell' interessato, la qualità è stata notevole! Unico consiglio che mi sento di dare... Continuate così!!

14/03/2026: Perhaps the waitress misunderstood my request. I'll tell you the story: We wanted a platter of bruschetta, cheeses, and anything vegetarian. The waitress brought us two small bruschettas with tomato sauce (two of them) and a cheese plate with no more than six small pieces of cheese, including Grana Padano, Gorgonzola, and Pecorino. We then ordered two glasses of wine by the glass, a bottle of water, and nothing else. Total = €46. It seems really excessive, especially considering it's a Slow Food trattoria and is supposed to be a guarantee of quality but also popular. I left feeling very disappointed and, above all, mocked.

08/03/2026: Wonderful trattoria, not to be missed: beautifully decorated in a rustic style and serving delicious traditional Tuscan dishes. Very friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. My favorite of the ones I tried during my vacation in Florence!! Excellent!

28/02/2026: A single room that was supposed to be included in the AMMI interregional congress became the subject of discussion. At the time of payment, the promotional code magically disappeared, and from €110, as agreed, including the tourist tax, we went up to €168! When I asked for an explanation, the response was formally polite, but decidedly closed to any possibility. Note that the single room was described as a deluxe triple, so much so that I thought there was a misunderstanding. But no... it was all true... this is the grand Hotel Baglioni: small room, even smaller bathroom, outdated faucets, shower in the tub... but would you have ever imagined that you had to climb over the tub and there wasn't even a handle? There was, however, a strange, persistent "smell" of sewerage! What can I say? Is the grand Hotel Baglioni worth recommending? The choice is yours.

28/02/2026: Review – Grand Hotel Baglioni I stayed at this hotel for an interregional conference organized by AMMI, which had an official agreement with the hotel that included a discounted rate and breakfast. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely negative, especially due to the complete lack of assistance and flexibility in managing my reservation. On Sundays, the hotel does not provide any telephone information (only voicemail). When searching online, I found a contact that appeared to be linked to the hotel, but it turned out to be an intermediary (Expedia). Before confirming, I tried contacting the hotel to verify the correct booking procedure and the application of the agreement, but was unable to speak to anyone. I therefore booked through Expedia, specifying the request for the AMMI agreement in the notes. Payment was requested immediately. Only later did I discover that: the agreement had not been applied; breakfast (€25 per person) was not included; There was no way to recover even the benefit of breakfast, not even for one of the two people in the room. I contacted the hotel directly the following day asking for at least a partial solution. They told me that nothing could be done. The conference organizer also interceded, but to no avail. At reception, I again asked for a modicum of flexibility, at least to guarantee breakfast for one of the two guests, considering it was an official agreement tied to the event hosted by the city. Again, the response was a flat refusal. To make things even more frustrating, I later discovered that another conference attendee had stayed at the same hotel, paying €152 for a significantly larger room (living area, TV, king-size bed, walk-in closet, terrace with garden), while I had paid €197 for a double on the fourth floor, much smaller and without any benefits included. The feeling was one of opaque management, not very customer-oriented, and lacking any attention to those attending a partner event. I don't question the commercial rules of intermediaries, but in a hotel of this caliber, I would have expected greater availability, clarity, and the ability to find a solution, at least partially. The problem isn't just financial. It's the total lack of willingness to accommodate the customer.

21/02/2026: Excellent place in Vico D'Elsa. As I mentioned, the platter is beautiful, with many different tastings. Thin, crispy pizza with high-quality ingredients. The dessert is also delicious. A must-try.

The service is attentive, fast, and professional: the experience of those who have worked in the industry for many years and know how to dedicate the right amount of attention to their customers is clearly evident. 14/02/2026: I sincerely thank the entire staff for accommodating all our requests, because we had to bring forward our Valentine's Day dinner since there were no more seats available on February 14th. The staff was (more or less) professional. We had the 7-course tasting menu, and I enjoyed everything. I was only slightly disappointed with the main dessert, which, subjectively, should have been more refreshing, sweet, and flavorful at the end. Instead, the Brie and coffee combination seemed heavy and had a strange taste. We did, however, enjoy the dessert made especially for Valentine's Day. In conclusion, we had a lovely evening. Thank you.

Happening by chance with my family during my lunch break, I had the pleasure of trying several dishes, from polenta and cod to cod meatballs, octopus in a sandwich, and seafood amatriiciana. Everything was truly delicious. Compliments also to the friendly and helpful wait staff, and the lovely, well-kept location—it feels like a typical island seafood restaurant! Compliments!

19/02/2026: We stumbled upon this small restaurant while passing by, craving Florentine steak, and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered steak, La Ribollita (Florence stew), Burrata cheese with a vegetable salad, and a 1/4 liter of wine. Served with bread, the portions were generous, just right for three people, and cost €67 in total. Each dish had its highlights. The steak was delicious, incredibly flavorful, with perfectly cooked fat, juicy and tender. The Burrata cheese was wonderfully fragrant, with a pure, creamy aroma, and the addition of crunchy almond slices and balsamic vinegar made it incredibly appetizing. The stew was also excellent, a dish we'd never seen before, but with a distinctly Florentine flavor. It had a homey, delicious taste, the vegetables were tender and cooked perfectly with the bread. The 1/4 liter of wine was only €3, a small bottle just right for our family, and it tasted great. After our meal, the restaurant even gave us some homemade chocolate liqueur to try. The flavor was unique, unlike anything we'd ever tasted before—like liquid chocolate liqueur. It's worth mentioning that the service was excellent. Although there weren't many foreign tourists in the restaurant, the young lady who took our order spoke English. When we asked to try a smaller steak, she explained the recommended doneness and weight, and thoughtfully showed us our selection before cooking to confirm (I was initially worried that such a weight-based cut of meat would be too much). When we mentioned we couldn't understand the Italian menu and wanted recommendations for non-pork dishes, she provided detailed introductions to several signature dishes. Throughout the meal, she frequently came to check on our experience. Our whole family enjoyed the meal immensely. The dining environment was also very pleasant, with a warm atmosphere and clean restrooms. I highly recommend it to anyone passing by! It was definitely a wonderful dining experience.
