21/02/2026: I was looking for a place to unwind and found a little paradise in the heart of Lunigiana.
The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, with soothing background music creating the perfect atmosphere to enjoy the day/evening in complete tranquility.
The cleanliness is impeccable, but the real star is the food: traditional Lunigiana dishes, expertly cooked, authentic, and rich in flavor.
Special praise goes to the staff: not only were they incredibly kind to us, but they also showed great attention and kindness to my dog, making us all feel welcome. ❤️
An oasis of peace and authenticity. I will definitely be back!
18/01/2026: We stayed one night at the Mirror House, a wonderful experience, both in terms of the welcome from Davide, the manager, and the location. The Mirror House rooms are out of the ordinary, brand new, with a spectacular view. We recommend this magical place to anyone looking for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We'll definitely be back. Thank you, Davide, for your hospitality.

03/03/2026: We celebrated our fiftieth birthday at this lovely and welcoming restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful. The dishes were well-prepared, tasted great, and beautifully presented. The only flaw was the dessert: the sponge cake was too dry and the portions were very small.

03/02/2026: We had this gem close to home and didn't know it! The restaurant is housed in a charming historic building. More precisely, in what were once the stables of the hunting lodge of Leopold II, the Grand Duke of Tuscany. Everything was excellent, from the ambiance, to the welcome, to the food, to the wine 🍷... We recommend it. We'll definitely be back...

29/10/2025: We had dinner at Da Maria in Giglio Castello — the food was good, fairly average overall, but the price felt a bit too high. For a group meal with one starter, one main course, and one dessert, it came to around €50 per person.
21/09/2025: I won't say how much I spent in total, because I've eaten that amount elsewhere and left satisfied with what I ate. Paying €40 for two risottos where you had to search for the rice grains hidden between a mussel, two shrimp, and four clams seems excessive to me. When you then realize the portion at the next table is larger, you feel cheated. Likewise, €30 for a fried dish that also included cheap vegetables and sardines, considered a low-cost fish, seems excessive. And finally, when I came to pay, I was told they even gave me a discount because they made me wait. I was even too kind to give it two stars.

15/12/2025: We discovered this place in 2023 during our first visit of Firenze and we simply knew that we have to come back. So we did and it was the perfect last evening of our trip. Everything simple yet sophisticated. Amazing sea food and fish, great wine and the service are making this place unforgettable and we are looking forward to our 3rd visit soon!

25/01/2026: We ordered a Giglio pizza, which was quite good, and a plate of pappardelle alla Garfagnina. The pasta sauce was extremely dry, as if it had been cooked for lunch and served for dinner. A dish like that should never be served in a restaurant.

19/03/2026: For dinner with colleagues, we expected something more, but in the end it was a decent experience and fair prices, the service a bit rushed, at a certain point they started to lower the shutters, for us it wasn't that late, around 10pm, but in fact we hadn't checked the closing time.

01/03/2026: We came across this amazing spot in the Michelin guide. It was simply brilliant and such a special place to celebrate my 30th birthday. The service was expectional - guiding us through wine choices. The setting balanced a private dining experience, while retaining the authenticity and buzz of a Tuscan restaurant. The attention to detail (in presentation, flavour and textures) was so clear! I hope one day to be able to return.
04/01/2026: A fantastic experience!! The location is evocative and meticulously maintained, every corner exudes history and charm. The food is pure poetry, top-notch ingredients cooked to perfection. The wait staff is highly trained and available to answer any questions or concerns about the venue. The price is reasonable for the quality of the venue, the service, and the cuisine. I will remember it for a long time, and I will return at every opportunity.
