We were very disappointed. We chose this restaurant, which was recommended in the Hachette guide, "A Great Weekend in Florence." The waitress was very welcoming, even seating us at a table for five, even though there were only two of us, to get a table at the edge of the terrace. We started with a bottle of organic Pecorino white wine from southern Italy, which was very good, along with a plate of prosciutto and decent Pecorino cheese. I ordered the Florentine dish: sliced ​​chicken with Gorgonzola and artichokes, which was very good. However, my husband ordered the Osso Buco, and it was a disaster! Mine was better!! Very little meat, very fatty, and skin... We pointed this out, clearly stating that my dish was very good, but the waitress didn't react at all!!! When the manager or owner walked by, we showed him a message in French that we had translated into Italian and told him we were there on the recommendation of our Hachette guidebook. He replied that that's how it is in Italy, which is untrue. We've been to Rome and Venice, and when there's a problem, they apologize and try to make amends. Here, there were no apologies, no gesture of goodwill. We paid and left without ordering dessert or coffee. €84 for a bottle of wine, an appetizer platter, and two main courses. Avoid these businesses that don't care about the tourists who keep them in business.
