01/04/2025: I went to Alessandro and Erika a short time ago, with my girlfriend and two friends, and we all left with smiles on our faces like few other times when we went out to eat. Even though the restaurant was pretty full, there was no lack of attention even on the part of the waiters, and when it came to eating, well... not much to say, respected tradition and EXCELLENT food (the wine list is also worthy of note). Do yourself a favor, try it!

19/02/2025: Cozy place immersed in the very particular historic center, the menu is always updated based on seasonal products, the Chef is very attentive both to the cuisine and to the speed of the peace, meat, game... good connoisseurs will also appreciate the wine list which is really very rich in choice of DOC wineries... the staff very kind and helpful... highly recommended 💯💯💯💯💯

16/01/2025: Siamo stati a pranzo in questo ristorante, in cui abbiamo mangiato benissimo, seguiti con grande cortesia e simpatia dal proprietario. Abbiamo preso tagliatelle al colombaccio, una Fiorentina fa 1,5 Kg ed un ottimo minestrone. Un ristorante tipico "toscano" con una vista mare meravigliosa. Ottima esperienza.

31/12/2024: Da Ugo è un ristorante perfetto per chi cerca cibo locale maremmano genuino senza fronzoli e non incline alle pose di moda. Abbiamo cenato con ottimi crostini misti toscani, eccellenti pappardelle al cinghiaie e tagliatelle al colombaccio. Abbiamo chiuso con una torta casalinga strepitosa. Da provare.

01/04/2025: Viaggio di ritorno verso Roma ed al "buio" ci fermiamo alla ricerca di un locale a San Sepolcro. Vicino Porta Fiorentina si trova questo locale di impronta storica, che offre piatti tradizionali con prodotti del luogo. Tutto molto buono sia a livello di primi sia di secondi, con discreta cantina anche se si stanno riorganizzando aggiornando al carta dei vini!

05/10/2024: LOCATION voto 8: bel ristorante, ricavato da un edificio medievale e immerso nelle colline toscane. MENU voto 6: la cucina è più per gli stranieri e i piatti non soddisfanno le aspettative del posto. Come alternativa vegetariana ci sono state servite delle penne al pomodoro completamente scotte. SERVIZIO voto 7: più lenti che veloci. Personale gentile. CONTO voto 5: per i piatti proposti i prezzi sono alti.

22/12/2024: Raccontare l'allestimento natalizio del Four Season è impossibile...bisogna viverlo e sperimentarlo di persona. Ogni angolo è pura magia, ogni dettaglio è curato alla perfezione, tutto è emozionante, l'atmosfera è unica e nonostante la prestigiosità del luogo la sensazione che si avverte è di piacevole e rilassante informalità anche grazie alla calorosa accoglienza di ogni singola persona. I nuovi cocktails dicembre 2024 sorprendenti, chianina burger eccellente, patate irraccontabili, invece club sandwich di pollo non gradito particolarmente (mancante di lattuga fresca e croccante e di maionese, anche se ne è prevista una piccola quantità singola a parte); le salse servite in confezione mono uso non le ho ritenute adatte. Ottimi i contorni durante l'aperitivo e i dolcetti alla fine della serata. Nel complesso è stata una serata memorabile, anche se l'abbinata bevande/cibo è stata un po' troppo a base di ingredienti "affumicati".

17/04/2025: Exceptional dishes. The chef's dishes are special and delicious. The black risotto (perhaps the best we ate) and the peach in tomato and olive sauce (I wiped the plate - delicious sauce) were exceptional. The main courses were delicious and did not fall short of the first courses. Not cheap but worth it. If you are in the area, you must go to the restaurant.

30/03/2025: Good evening, let me start by saying that we are customers, we also live nearby and every now and then we like to spend an evening for dinner at the Fondaccio, last time an amazing tartar made by Luigi, this evening a forgettable tartar with no taste, no egg, with never-seen cucumbers and flavorless 'truffle' tagliolino, it looked like plain pasta. Top focaccia! Top wine! Very professional and super approachable waiter. I pointed out that the dinner wasn't that great, but paid the bill in full. It can happen on a bad night, but a little respect for the customers... Luigi, it's best for you to cook. The chef in the dining room made the food with his bare hands and without wanting to see it from afar, in fact the result was visible on the plates. Maybe we will return, because we have always had a good time

02/04/2025: Impressive and suggestive structure (former convent) but in need of renovation. The efforts in providing a good service are appreciated but more people as staff and more attention to detail are needed. There is no elevator and the rooms are very sparse. As for value for money, you can certainly find better

30/03/2025: We just stayed here for two nights. The villa and estate are impressive for the views and incredible presence on the hill side. Service is lovely and we felt special and welcome. Shyam in the restaurant was very kind to us, and our two dachshunds were even spoilt with a slice of prosciutto from the manager. The property is moderately priced, and the vibe is unpretentious and fairly casual. Our dogs loved running around the grounds. The rooms have had a facelift, and there are aspects of the property which are a bit dated which only lends to the charm and quirkiness. We had dinner - my partner the liver on crostini and the sausages with veg, I had a lovely pasta with tomato and guanciale. Upon departure I received a proper Italian goodbye with two kisses and an embrace. This place is perfect for an unassuming and casual home away from home escape, overlooking the city of Florence.

19/03/2025: Abbiamo consumato un'ottima cena a base di pesce in questo delizioso borgo sulle colline toscane. Siamo stati accolti con calore dal titolare, e chef, del ristorante. I piatti erano abbondanti e ben conditi, il pesce cucinato magistralmente. Prezzo nella norma ma la qualità della materia prima è impagabile! Stra consigliato!!!

19/03/2025: What an excellent place, we didn’t have reservation but the staff treated us kindly. Veronica's attention was exceptional, she suggested us good options to order with her perfect spanish speaking. We ordered for dinner pizza Margherita, Quattro Formaggi, Napoli D.O.P and Parmigiana, also we ordered a succulent mare soup with a frizzy wine. Me and my friends are definately satisfied with our dinner in Orto del Cigno! Thanks for the hospitality!

16/03/2025: A pleasant tavern-style venue with large windows along the Arno. Garden with tables outside for good weather. Varied menu: burgers, appetizers to share and pizzoni for 2 people even in multiple flavors. Large selection of beers and wines. Quick and courteous service.
