01/07/2024: Delicious food and great hospitality. Among other things, we ate wonderful stuffed zucchini flowers and tortelli with aubergine cream and bacon which was divine. We split the flowers in two, and so that we would then have a fair experience, they offered us an extra flower instead. Eating there was an art experience, because of the delicious food and nice hospitality from the staff and the price was affordable even for a student. Highly recommend.

04/09/2024: Tip top! Very tasty, friendly service and great ambience of a real trattoria! There are a lot of guests and we would have to queue in front of the trattoria, but it was totally worth it!

01/08/2024: I was in this restaurant on August 1st, very nice place, very kind staff. We were with dogs including a German shepherd, no problem and I was welcomed with joy and compliments. Excellent menu, superb desserts. Thank you!

06/08/2024: A beautiful and elegant place where you can enjoy chic, local food revisited in a modern way. Excellent location that offers a beautiful terrace with a very charming lemon pergola. A fresh and clean place, where you are served by a parterre of very courteous and kind waiters. You feel at home.... wonderful experience every time... rating... 10++++

07/08/2024: Kindness and courtesy of the owners. Typically Tuscan place. We had a very good time including their restaurant. In the evening you dine under the Tuscan sky in the most authentic countryside.

06/08/2024: We spent a few wonderful days in complete peace and quiet, in a beautiful old building with romantically furnished rooms. Unfortunately there are far too few... but we will make up for it next year. It's already booked. The two bosses Alessio and Ricardo are super nice, the food in the restaurant and the entire staff are first class, super trained, very accommodating, funny and extremely helpful. Highly Recommended. There are apparently attractive bike tours for sports enthusiasts; there are certainly a lot of people cycling up and down hills in the heat. The location is perfect, nestled in rolling hills, some of which are forested or agricultural. Since we love this corner of Tuscany anyway, this will be our new port of call. 19/08/2024: Very good food, cured meats in particular. Good family service, low prices. It doesn't accept reservations, sometimes there is a queue to get a table. Advised.

04/09/2024: Locale molto carino , ottimo il cibo ma la cosa migliore da 10 è la gentilezza e disponibilità del personale , bravissimo e molto professionale il cameriere che ci ha seguito , abbiamo avuto un problema con un secondo molto disponibile a risolverlo , che dire trovarne di persone che amano fare il loro lavoro ....bravissimi ragazzi continuate così , sia come professionalità sia per l'ottimo cibo .

31/08/2024: Osteria storica nel centro di Firenze con interni ben curati ed accoglienti e personale gentile. Ampia celta di piatti della tradizione fiorentina con qualche proposta extra. Vasta scelta di vini ma al calice è possibile avere solo il Chianti della casa, oppure si può optare per una mezza bottiglia. Avevo prenotato nell'area esterna per poi scoprire che è coperta da una tettoia retraibile che però non era stata aperta nonostante il clima estivo. I locali sono comunque climatizzati. Prezzo corretto.

10/08/2024: I found myself in this little restaurant by chance and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. The refined environment and the very kind and hospitable waiters made me feel at ease straight away. The dishes are beautiful and tasty, personally I really enjoyed the first courses.

10/08/2024: Restaurant to absolutely go to eat!! The places are certainly small, but there is a warm atmosphere that I really like, plus I find the decor very nice. I ordered truffle pasta which was delicious. The meal and the service are TOP (to add that the panorama is magnificent). In short, GO FOR IT!!!

12/08/2024: In Florence, I got super lucky in that Santa Elisabetta was a 5 min walk from my hotel, and that they had reservations available the next day for lunch, so I booked a table for one. The restaurant is located in a tiny space (just 6 tables) within a 13th century stone tower. There was only one other person in the restaurant during the entire duration of my meal - which meant that both my server and the 'overall server' were pretty focused on us the entire time. My server even escorted me up to the restaurant once I arrived at the location. I don't mean to sound too hyperbolic, but it feels like I ascended to a higher plane of existence when it comes to dining. I ordered the Carte Blanche option, which was a 3 course tasting menu of whatever the chef chose from the main dishes. The meal consisted of 7 separate sections, each with their specific parts. Firstly, it started with an amuse bouche, which consisted of 5 separate small dishes - there was chicken liver, prawn, oysters, and so on. It was in this very first meal that I realized I was going to have a meal that far exceeded the quality of anything that I've had before. Next, the bread came out, and this bread was just astounding. I was seeing types of bread I've never seen before. My favorite part of this was what looks like the focaccia, with lardo on top. The first main course was raw red prawns and caviar. It was my first time trying caviar, which I absolutely loved Next came what might be the best food I've had in my life - a spaghetti made with 3 different types of algae butter, and sea urchins. I can't even describe how good this pasta was - from the noodles, to the meat, to the natural, earthy flavors Before dessert, there was a mood cleanser of hibiscus tea and chocolate mousse. Dessert consisted of yogurt froth, kiwi, and namaleka, and was so good it exceeded a melt-in-your-mouth feeling. I thought I was done at this point, but they brought out another set of 5 smaller pastries - compliments of the pastry chef. These included a pistachio cream lollipop, french biscuits, madeleine, and more The cost of the Carte Blanche that I ordered was 159 euros, and I also got a glass of champagne for 25 euros I spent over 2 hours at this restaurant - way longer than I thought it would actually be. Like I said, this was my first fine dining experience of any kind, so I really had no idea what to expect. I was absolutely blown away by this experience and consider it to be 100% worth the money. For me - this felt like every single part of this experience was perfect. Everything I ate here was a massive step above any food I've had in the past. The quality is unreal. The variety is unparalleled. There are ingredients used here that I've never seen before - and stuff I didn't even know was edible. The amount of different food I got to try was like nothing I've experienced before. I left the restaurant incredibly full and completely satisfied Overall, this is an all-time experience. 10/10

07/08/2024: Seit vielen Jahren ist der jährliche Besuch des Merlo in Cetona ein fixer Bestandteil der Italien-Ferien. Dieses Traditionsbewusstsein unsererseits lässt sich auch auf das Restaurant übertragen: die Karte, das Team, die Qualität, das Ambiente bleiben im besten Sinne des Wortes stabil. Hier wird eine toskanische Küche ohne Chichi serviert, auf Basis guter Grundprodukte und mit eleganter Hand gewürzt. Klassiker wie die Tagliata oder die Pici sind auch nach zig Bestellungen jedes Mal eine neue Freude wert. Eine Empfehlung, das Merlo, die man jeder Jahr erneuern könnte.

25/07/2024: Despite the enormous heat in the place, you could sit on the terrace in the light wind and enjoy wonderful Italian food. Very innovative dishes, skillfully prepared.

11/08/2024: I've never seen such hard-working waitresses anywhere. Like the whirlwinds. Absolutely attentive and simply quick. There is also a great pizza maker and hard-working cooks, as well as the very nice owner and presumed boss. We felt completely at home, the prices are really very pleasant and the food was wonderful. The only small flaw is the warmth inside in midsummer, but I can totally ignore that. This was our third time there on holiday and I would recommend it to everyone. We still somehow got a place without a reservation, that was made possible ☺️
