02/05/2026: I ate at this restaurant on May 1st. The food was delicious (the tordelli with Chianina ragù were unbeatable). The staff were very kind and welcoming, and the location was beautiful. Highly recommended!

10/01/2026: We spent a few days in Pistoia for the Christmas holidays, and on the evening of January 1st, craving a nice Florentine steak, we stumbled upon this typical trattoria. They offer a fixed-price menu, which I recommend, which includes mixed appetizers, a Florentine steak of a weight appropriate for the number of guests, three side dishes, and a dessert. Drinks are not included. The owner, like the staff, is incredibly welcoming. You can tell they really care about explaining the quality and provenance of the meat. Oh! By the way, aside from appetizers and side dishes: THEY ONLY EAT MEAT! It's a real steakhouse; they don't do first courses, they don't do fish... What a steak, folks! Served on piping hot plates so it doesn't get cold, and cut at the table by the owner himself. The only flaw: they served us French meat. Good, tender, but not the most flavorful. I would have preferred local meat. Anyway, I recommend it. It's worth it.

06/01/2026: This traditional Tuscan restaurant is located on Via Sant'Andrea in Pistoia, in a beautiful medieval building restored with exposed brick and stone. Enjoy fabulous grilled meats and traditional dishes with tasty crostini, excellent cured meats, side dishes, and appetizers, accompanied by a wide selection of white and red wines. The owners, with great professionalism and kindness, recommend these wines, turning a simple dinner into a truly exquisite culinary experience. The restaurant is truly beautiful, meticulously maintained, and fantastic for photographs. Excellent in every way! The food, wines, hospitality, and sophistication. Recommended restaurant!

05/05/2026: Family-run restaurant. We had appetizers and first courses. The tagliatelle with duck ragù and the tagliatelle with ragù were excellent. The pici all'aglione were a bit disappointing, but that doesn't mean I won't return, especially for the second courses. The desserts are exquisite!

03/04/2026: The place is meticulously cared for down to the smallest details, very clean, and the kindness and courtesy are undeniable. Excellent food, and the wait between courses makes you realize that everything is delivered quickly. Mind you, I don't mean to say the wait is long. The starter was excellent, with a revisited version of the classic pappa al pomodoro. Today is Christmas Eve, so eggs cooked at a low temperature, followed by Tuscan-style cod. 13/04/2026: A place that's so much more than just a restaurant. My family and I had dinner at Il Barretto and found a warm and authentic atmosphere that made you feel immediately at ease, right at home. You can clearly sense the passion in the kitchen and the quality of the ingredients. We went for the Fiorentina and were more than satisfied! The meat was incredibly tender, melting in your mouth, incredible. Finally, I wanted to focus especially on the service and sincerely thank the staff for their smiles, kindness, and attentiveness. Everything was impeccable. You are professionals. We left with a wonderful feeling, that of having had an experience we absolutely want to repeat. We will be back soon, without a doubt.

15/04/2026: Hands down, the best meal on our trip. The Florentine steak was phenomenal. The potatoes that came with it were amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. We sat outside in the wonderful atmosphere of Piazza Signoria. It could not have been better! I highly recommend this restaurant.

11/04/2026: We called the restaurant to arrange takeaway (tired kids and all). The staff were so thoughtful, everything was ready within 15 minutes and more importantly very tasty. The meatballs were good with great tomato sauce. Try the mushroom and tortelli in veal, cream and porcino sauce.

26/12/2025: Had Diavola, it was slightly bigger than most other places. The quality of dough was superb. Restaurant was busy as eh but it came troppo veloche ie fast within quicker the one might think. Cherry on top was mascarpone Pandoro special cake made at Xmas by mumma . It was best restaurant desert I've tried since 2 months in 4 cities . Props to family run and operated venues. This place is a Neighborgood gem . Fair prices too. A lot of flair.

06/05/2026: Having just arrived from Pisa airport, we contacted them via WhatsApp and, even though it was late for their usual opening hours, they told us they would welcome us without any problem. The service at La Antica Trattoria di Piero was exceptional from the very first moment. Federico gave us excellent advice on everything and made us feel right at home. The homemade food was spectacular, a 10 out of 10, and he even recommended ordering the house wine to save money… and, like everything else, it was a total success. A highly recommended place if you're looking for authenticity, good food, and friendly, honest service.

06/05/2026: Highly recommended! We arrived directly from Pisa airport and were welcomed around 3 pm, and we were so lucky to have been able to eat there! The food was all delicious, from the appetizers to the main courses... Everything was outstanding. And what's more, all the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. 03/05/2026: A truly pleasant inn in every way. The staff is extremely kind and immediately puts you at ease, with a level of customer service that is evident in every detail. The property is very well-maintained and the setting is wonderful, although its proximity to the road doesn't detract from the experience. The rooms are simple but well-furnished and comfortable. The on-site shop is also very interesting, well-stocked and beautifully presented. We also ate divinely, with special attention given to our two children, who helped make our stay even more enjoyable. Recommended, also for the convenience of available parking.
