09/11/2025: Magnificent location, very well-maintained and welcoming, located in front of the evocative Basilica of San Biagio, where you can easily find parking. Very kind and professional staff, high-quality food, impeccably cooked and presented, especially the porcini mushroom ravioli and quail Wellington, which we enjoyed. Not to mention the variety of desserts, which we really appreciated. Highly recommended.

I've been to many vegetarian restaurants, and this one is truly superb. ☺️ We ate very well, and the dishes were not only delicious, but also beautiful to look at (it's not a given that you'll find both). The charming restaurant is set in a well-kept and unique home... and the owners are incredibly friendly. ☺️ Highly recommended.

I believe the location, the dining room where a wonderful lunch or dinner is served, and the dishes themselves speak volumes even more than the reviews themselves. Book and enjoy something unique. Kudos not only to the chef, who, by listening to his guests' preferences, can take you on a unique culinary journey, but especially to the staff, both in the dining room and, above all, in the kitchen. The moment you arrive, you’re greeted by the peaceful charm of the Tuscan countryside – a setting that immediately invites you to slow down and enjoy the moment. The location strikes a perfect balance between rustic and elegant, with thoughtful details that reflect a deep appreciation for both tradition and contemporary comfort. The service was excellent throughout the entire meal. The staff were warm and attentive, striking just the right tone – always available, but never overbearing. It’s clear that hospitality here is taken seriously, and that every guest is made to feel welcome and relaxed. We were offered a tasting menu personally curated by the chef, and it was an exceptional journey through refined and creative cuisine. The menu included a variety of intriguing elements: delicate raw fish, a luxurious truffle and potato combination, perfectly cooked linguine enriched with miso, followed by bold proteins like bison, suckling pig, and quail. Each dish showcased a clear culinary vision – combining high-quality ingredients with modern technique and thoughtful presentation. Most of the courses stood out for their originality and flavor. The raw fish dish was fresh and balanced, the truffle and potato pairing offered an indulgent yet refined start, – a fusion of umami and elegance. The meats were handled with care, each prepared to highlight their unique character without overpowering the palate. Not every dish was a “wow” moment, but the overall experience remained highly impressive. The few elements that were slightly less impactful didn’t detract from the coherence or enjoyment of the meal – if anything, they underscored the chef’s willingness to take creative risks, which we genuinely appreciated. One of the strengths of La Martinatica is how it combines an ambitious, chef-driven menu with the relaxed charm of its surroundings. 02/11/2025: From the moment the staff opened the door and greeted me, I felt this was a warm and inviting restaurant. The sign on the wall proclaiming that they had over 300 bottles of wine confirmed this was the place for me, a wine lover. The food was excellent, and the male staff member, despite his young age, was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, even helping me choose the wine! The owner of the farmhouse recommended this restaurant, and it was definitely a delightful dinner. I look forward to another visit. 👍👍👍

04/11/2025: I was in the region with my father, and after 15 years we absolutely wanted to return to this restaurant, as we always remembered it as wonderful. And after 15 years, it's still excellent, and the food is of high quality. The value for money is right, and the service is excellent and very friendly. The view, the atmosphere, the food—simply perfect. One of our favorite restaurants in Tuscany, if not our absolute favorite. We will definitely come again; it's highly recommended, simply unique!

15/10/2025: I am leaving a review for the restaurant, we did not stay there. The restaurant was one off the highlights of the trip for us, so excellent. The food was amazing, the service was great and the view was put of this world We had lunch there- the gnocchi was amazing, and the wild boar pasta was so delicious. Even the kids pasta with ragout was delicious. I would definitely recommend.

02/11/2025: We ate here three times. The service was always very friendly, cheerful, and attentive. In addition to the regular menu items, there are always special dishes. We chose from these twice, and they were also excellent. The portions are huge; one first course followed by a second course each is more than enough for two people. The value for money is superb.

All the dishes were delicious. The bread and gelato were homemade. The staff and chef were friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Highly recommended! Plus, the quality/price ratio was excellent.

16/11/2025: In the center of Altopascio, in a quaint setting, we visited for lunch in mid-November 2025. The intimate, family-friendly restaurant welcomes you warmly and simply, introducing you to the restaurant's philosophy—primarily a spaghetti restaurant serving traditional and daily express dishes. For two, we chose tagliolini of the day (garlic, oil, and chili pepper with broccoli) and spaghetti alla pirata (similar to puttanesca, with olives and capers, spicy). We began with an excellent and generous appetizer of raw ham (Tuscan and flavorful, excellent) and freshly seasoned pecorino cheese. The appetizer was delicious, and the first courses were excellent (prepared on the spot and perfectly al dente). A quart of wine, water, and two coffees, for €47. Fast and discreet service. In short, an excellent stop for a traditional yet high-quality business lunch, although not cheap.
