07/08/2026: Enjoyed fantastic night at Cala di Volpe. Food selection is amazing,a lot of options.And the quality is beyond any expectations. Price for the menu is fixed( 300€ per person ,180€ -if you stay at the hotel),and you can have as many plates as you want for that price Very classic and elegant restaurant,good for special occasions Parking might be a challenge,there is a small free parking for guests

16/07/2026: Among the three main restaurants available, this was our favorite by far. Although all the restaurants at Cala Di Volpe are quite expensive, we felt that Le Grand had the best value, and that Beef Bar and Matsuhisa were unnecessarily more expensive simply because of the brand name. The "international presence" of Beef Bar/Matsuhisa-Nobu means nothing to us when we're actually sitting down and eating. Le Grand had higher quality food, higher quality service, with a much more authentic feel. There's a wide range of menu items (spanning from traditional Sardinian to classics like Veal Milanese), and everything we tried was done extremely well.

26/07/2026: A positive experience. The food is good, with tasty dishes prepared with quality ingredients. The place is pleasant, and the service is attentive. The only area that could be improved is the wait staff: the waiters, while very courteous, come to the table a bit too frequently, sometimes seeming a bit intrusive. Overall, a good experience, and I would definitely recommend it.

05/07/2026: Essenza Bistrot. A restaurant that has perfected itself. From the outside, you could easily drive right past it. An unassuming facade, a house number – nothing more. Then the door opens, and everything changes. The space is meticulously designed. Every accessory has its place, every object its function. A world map on the wall, wine crates as shelves, wood and stone in perfect balance. This isn't by chance. This is "control as a passion." You can tell the owner has a "penchant for perfection." She goes from table to table, checking everything, not detachedly, but with a look that says: This isn't just something I take for granted. This means something to me. A rare sight. The "greeting from the kitchen" is already a statement. Pizza Pala, long fermentation, tomatoes, mozzarella, anchovies, capers. Homemade bread that tastes like poetry. Spaghetti with lobster. Stuffed pastries. Calamari fritti. Everything is of the highest quality, everything tastes magical. The service is pleasant and friendly. Almost too deferential. You can tell: These people want exactly what the owner wants – for everything to be perfect. It's not just warmth. It's dedication to an ideal. Truly wonderful. Then there's a man sitting at the next table. Alone. And he's eating. Calmly, attentively. He uses his phone frequently, but not frantically, not addictively. Simply present with his food and simultaneously connected to the world around him. And I wonder: Would I do this if I were single? A restaurant of this caliber, alone, to be with myself – without it having to feel lonely? The answer: "Yes. Right now." That's the moment I understand what Essenza truly is. Not necessarily a restaurant for two or for many. A restaurant for you. For your relationship with quality, with taste, with yourself. The owner understands this. She's created a place that forces you to be alone with yourself – whether you're sitting alone or with someone else. Whether that's control or wisdom remains to be seen. But "it works" 😉

13/08/2026: Good morning, like every year we returned to this restaurant and had a very good dinner as usual, even if given the large influx of people being August we had to wait a little, but the wait was worth the wait, a special fish-based dinner, we will return.

13/08/2026: We've been going to this restaurant with friends for years and are always satisfied. The lobster linguine is amazing, the seadas are delicious, and the pizzas are also delicious—thin, crispy, and made with quality ingredients. Pina, the owner, is very friendly.

21/09/2025: We stayed at the hotel next door and walked over for dinner. The staff was very friendly and when selecting catch of the day Chef Gusieppie came out and described each fish and how it was to be prepared. We also ordered the Mussels in Myrtle which were excellent! We selected the rockfish and was very pleased with it.

19/09/2025: I know that many people find it scandalous to have a dish served on a bathroom tile! But we're open-minded! The tile was a tile anyway! The girl from Turin was super nice, welcoming, and helpful. I don't think they'll have another season. The mussels were dried out; the appetizer was good, but if I'd tried harder, I could have had a better one on the beach. Then I chose the catch of the day, a scorpion fish that the girl from Turin kindly served us! It was good, and I'll tell you tomorrow if it was fresh! Anyway, one adult and two children (the eldest is 10) with a glass of wine, two appetizers, a pasta dish with tomato sauce, a fried mixed seafood dish, and a scorpion fish = €200. Fine if everything is perfect! But given the shortcomings we can find, I can't give more than 3 stars. If it weren't for the girl from Turin who served us, I'd give it 2 ⭐️⭐️

09/08/2026: We had a table reserved. Upon arrival, they told us we couldn't order food from the menu because they were having problems in the kitchen so we could order pizza. We reluctantly agreed. People who came after us got their food and the pizza didn't come for 50 minutes. They boast about their bread oven and the pizza came pre-made and half warm. Unbelievably bad experience!!

08/08/2026: Fantastic restaurant!! You absolutely must make a reservation, especially after 8 pm. It's a really lovely place, with quite a few Italian speakers. Excellent value for money! The portions are enormous. We went back several times during our stay and tried many different dishes—a delightful discovery every time.

07/08/2026: An excellent experience! If you're looking for the freshest seafood and impeccable service, La Lampara restaurant is a guarantee. I've never had a bad experience: the food is excellent, and the staff are true professionals—attentive, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended!

14/06/2026: I returned to this restaurant after a few years, where I'd always enjoyed it, but unfortunately this year I had a bad experience. Besides the extremely high prices, starting with the €3.50 cover charge and the filtered Aquamea at €3 a liter, I ordered the gluten-free pizza, which, unfortunately, was terrible. The first one arrived half-frozen (the dough is frozen, and they add the toppings when you order). They remade it for me, but even the terrible one, which I ate only because I was hungry. And they charged me for both! Then I ordered a typical Sardinian dessert from Alghero, crema catalana, but they brought me a dessert that had nothing to do with the classic recipe... and on top of that, it was frozen, and I paid €7. The restaurant is very nice and the staff is friendly, but I don't think I'll be returning.

04/08/2026: On Sunday evening, we went to this lovely outdoor restaurant, with a lovely atmosphere. The waiters were very friendly and helpful, especially Emanuele, who served us during our stay that evening. We had an "octopus" pizza as an appetizer to share, which was very good and light. A "gourmet" risotto was very flavorful yet delicate, and the pasta with clams and bottarga was delicious, with a hint of bottarga flavor. We also had two desserts: a "alternative" tiramisu, which was good but nothing special, and the other, a "fragrant" chocolate tart, which was very hard and chewy. Overall, it was a lovely evening. We spent €150, but with the 30% discount on dishes with The Fork, it was €115.

02/08/2026: I would have really liked to give a better rating to one of the few places on the Costa Smeralda that offers gluten-free options safe for celiacs. Unfortunately, however, the experience was marred by service that I found decidedly unprofessional. As soon as we were seated, the waiter (I think his name was Paolo) asked us if we were ready to order. I told him I was still choosing the wine and politely asked for a couple of minutes. His response was, "Oh, indeed, I've never seen a woman choose so quickly." A joke that I found out of place and based on a stereotype. Shortly afterward, he asked if my boyfriend would also drink wine. When he said no, he made further jokes about him having to drive, culminating in, "It's not enough that we have to put up with them; we can't even drink because we have to drive." This comment also seemed decidedly inappropriate. In a place of this caliber, with a €6 cover charge and an international clientele, I expect friendly and professional service, not sexist jokes or stereotypes aimed at customers. We chose not to respond to the provocations and enjoy the dinner anyway, but it was an experience that left a very negative impression on us.

09/07/2026: Spectacular service, superb food. Aly, the manager, treated us wonderfully, and the waiters were polite and very professional. The food is exquisite and traditional. I've been on holiday in Sardinia for six days, and this is the best food I've had. Thank you so much!

04/07/2026: Nice place and good food, but be careful with the bill. Both we and the table next to us were charged extra for things we hadn't eaten! Coincidence? Who knows! If in doubt, check.

26/07/2026: We were hiking in the mountains and decided to stop in for lunch, and I didn't regret it. It was a wonderful, cozy place with typical Sardinian cuisine. We were with our Irish Setter, and they made us feel so welcome.
