26/07/2026: Typical Sardinian restaurant, very noisy

24/07/2026: We had a great experience at Ristorante Barbagia. The restaurant was busy, which is why I would definitely recommend making a reservation in advance. The staff were hardworking, friendly and very fast, always making sure everything was taken care of. We ordered the traditional Sardinian Porceddu (roast suckling pig), and it was juicy, tender and full of flavour. I also had the boar, and it was exceptional. The meat was incredibly soft, juicy and literally melted in my mouth. The potatoes served with the dishes were also excellent and perfectly cooked. We also tried the salmon pasta, which was delicious and full of flavour. One thing that really stood out was the portion sizes, which were very generous and definitely worth it. Overall, we highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Olbia. The food, service and atmosphere were all excellent, but make sure to reserve a table in advance because the restaurant is almost always full.

09/06/2026: Fregula with seafood ragù, culurgiones (a type of pasta), octopus alla diavola (a type of octopus cooked in a spicy sauce), and chiusoni (a type of pasta cooked in a gallurese style). A good Vermentino, and the dinner exceeded expectations. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

02/07/2026: Delicious poke, cooked to order with fresh ingredients (which isn't a given, as this rarely happens on the continent). Classic Italian cuisine with fresh fish is also excellent. Recommended.

07/07/2026: Ingredients were very fresh, and service was good. However, a couple of issues: the fregole was cooked more like a risotto than a pasta, which was disappointing. Portions were fine for a fine dining setting. The bigger issue: a kids’ plate with just 3 meatballs and fried potatoes was priced for €30 — we mentioned it and they reduced it to €26, but that’s still unacceptable for what it was. I don’t recommend this place for families with kids.

20/07/2026: A great pizzeria where you can also get other Italian dishes, and which is truly a good restaurant in every respect. For starters, we had some Sardinian cheeses and the fried squid to share. Both dishes were delicious. Our main course consisted of a pizza, some pasta, and steak. All dishes were delicious and flavorful. One of us had a delicious cheesecake for dessert, and the rest of us drank a delicious (really hot) espresso. In short, we had a wonderful meal. The price-quality ratio is balanced 👍

15/07/2026: We returned to this wonderful place for the umpteenth time, and as always, we can only confirm its excellence. Surrounded by greenery, the restaurant offers an intimate and regenerating atmosphere: despite the heat, the light breeze coming down from the hill makes the stay extremely pleasant. The quality of the food is unquestionable. Personally, as a celiac, I've always found great attention to my needs, while my husband claims he's eaten the best marinated mussels here ever. What's truly impressive, besides the food, is the service: kindness, attentiveness, and a rare warmth. One example? The special gesture for our son's birthday. We had only briefly mentioned the occasion, without wanting to disturb or expect anything, yet they surprised us with a candle on the tiramisu and a special tune: these are touches that not everyone gets and that make the difference between a common place and a high-end restaurant. Reading some recent reviews, I find it really strange to see so few stars all in a row, one after the other (probably a retaliation between "grown-ups"). Our experience, consolidated over several visits, is diametrically opposed. We absolutely recommend this restaurant. It is managed and run admirably. Congratulations to all the staff: keep up the good work! Thank you for once again giving us wonderful family moments. We can't wait to return next year... Oh, and I almost forgot... we ordered a myrtle liqueur and were surprised to find it not included in the bill: a spontaneous gesture, done without us asking, which denotes an old-fashioned class...

11/05/2026: Located on the harbor, the view is a delight for the eyes. Unfortunately, the dishes offered don't live up to expectations, except for the truly excellent charcuterie and cheese platter. The service is efficient and attentive...despite the "hefty" bill, I'll give this place another chance...if only for Marco Predolin's friendliness!

29/06/2026: This historic restaurant is a must-try for anyone who wants to eat well. The service is attentive and fast, and the quality of the dishes is excellent. I always eat the Sardinian gnocchetti, which are the best I've ever eaten. I highly recommend them to everyone. The staff is very friendly.

Furthermore, the refined menu is very good. The dishes are carefully prepared down to the smallest detail... We will definitely be back... don't miss the opportunity to go there!!!

05/07/2026: Fantastic place, peaceful, relaxed, ideal atmosphere. Friendly, cheerful, and attentive waiters who make their work an art. The food was fabulous, especially the baked sea bass with vegetables. And you absolutely have to try the tiramisu! We'll be back!

17/07/2026: Should I answer your questions??? We were given the menu and after ordering, we were told that some items were unavailable; it would be best to let them know as soon as the menu was delivered. We waited over an hour after ordering. The pasta was overcooked and didn't taste up to the price, the octopus salad was rubbery and forgettable. We ordered the house wine, and it had a strange taste. We ate in the glassed-in veranda, and the overall neglect was quite embarrassing, with dirty, peeling walls; the inside looked recently renovated. We waited 20 minutes at the cash register to pay. The only positive note was the waitress, who was very kind, which is the reason for the 3 stars.

17/07/2026: A pleasant surprise! We went to this restaurant on Thursday evening and I must say we ate very well... an appetizer, 3 first courses, and desserts... everything was delicious and at a more than fair price.

21/07/2026: We ordered a couple of appetizers and some main courses, and most of the dishes took over an hour to arrive. To make matters worse, when one of the pasta dishes finally arrived, it was lukewarm and quite undercooked. The others weren't anything special either. We ended up eating without any appetite, and after insisting, they acknowledged the problem and didn't charge us for the dish. The waitresses were very, very friendly and attentive.

20/07/2026: We arrived for lunch and although it says nothing is closed, they tell us they have to clean to serve dinner at 6 pm, unbelievable.

23/07/2026: One of my very best restaurant experience. I loved everything. The food, the crew (friendly, competent, fast...), the patrons, the amazing view of the Tavolara. Fine dining with excellent value for money.

19/07/2026: The food was okay. The atmosphere was okay, but we were attacked by wasps at the outside table under the pine tree. We gave up. It was €140 for two, but we left the fish and wine alone. The price would have been fair if we'd eaten. It's a summer problem. Too many people, extra tables. Wasp disinfestation not done. Too bad. They're good. I hope they fix it...

18/05/2026: We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant. From the moment we arrived, we were met with warm, fast, and highly professional service. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and perfectly timed throughout the entire evening. We chose the “Menu Degustazione” with the accompanying wine pairing, and it was simply exquisite. Every dish was beautifully presented, creative, and full of incredible flavors, while the wines were perfectly selected to complement each course. The quality throughout the entire dinner was outstanding. The service was attentive and highly competent, with excellent knowledge of both the food and the wines, which elevated the experience even further. The restaurant itself is something very special. The walls are decorated with beautiful, challenging, and fascinating artwork created by the owner’s wife, giving the place a unique and memorable atmosphere. Even though the restaurant is not inexpensive, the quality far exceeds the price. We truly felt that we received exceptional value for the money. Highly recommended.
