05/04/2026: Today we were there for the first time. They welcomed us with great kindness, the food was good, everything was ok. The waiters, I think the owner is... anyway, really kind, congratulations to everyone ❤️

12/04/2026: We stayed here for a few days over Easter. We enjoyed a kind and helpful welcome. The breakfast was exceptional, rich and varied, and attentive to everyone's tastes (and allergies). We had lunch and dinner once, enjoying delicious flavors and quality ingredients (the fregola with wild asparagus!). The location is beautiful, surrounded by greenery. The rooms are cozy and equipped with everything you need. The staff, led by Valentina and her husband (truly friendly people), was truly wonderful. You made my return to Sardinia, where I was born, after so many years, a truly unforgettable experience. Thank you, Tiziana. We will definitely be back.

11/09/2025: In a prime location (it was difficult to find at night) and very quiet, you'll find this restaurant in Porto Rotondo. It boasts a well-presented menu and a decent wine cellar. The service is excellent, and even though the area is quieter in September, neither the service nor the quality has suffered. I can't comment on the price because you're in Porto Rotondo, so don't expect Burger King prices. Highly recommended for many reasons, but what we liked most was the attentiveness of the waiters and the owner himself. Thank you for the myrtle!

08/09/2025: The location is simply unique on the Costa Smeralda, a fantastic, elegant little square with a breathtaking view. Prices are average for Porto Rotondo. Excellent food with a simple, typical local menu. Oscar-winning fregola. My heartfelt compliments to the entire staff. Absolutely not to be missed. You'll experience a special evening. Well done, and sincere congratulations.

01/11/2025: Disappointing. As we'd say back home, this place is a case of "wanting to be something it's not." The food is quite average for the price: the fregula and chiusoni were nothing special; we had much better ones at other restaurants during our trip to Sardinia, and for a significantly lower price. Overall, everything at this restaurant has the "look" but lacks the "substance." It's pretty representative of Porto Rotondo in general: lots of "celebrity" nonsense, and in the end, nothing special.

02/10/2025: Excellent dinner featuring a remarkable amberjack ceviche and a good fish and shellfish soup. Perhaps a little too soupy, overpowering the underlying flavors. The white wine served was good, as was the myrtle dessert.

17/09/2025: The location offers a beautiful view, but it's far from the city, so a car is necessary. The hotel is good for a weekend getaway, as there's no on-site entertainment. The breakfast was poor and identical throughout our seven-day stay. On the plus side, it was quiet and had plenty of space by the pool.

15/09/2025: Very good stay. Quiet hotel, great breakfast with a magnificent view. On the outskirts of Olbia and next to Pittulongu beach (book sunbeds with the hotel cat for a great rate and free parking). A receptionist speaks French and was lovely when we had some small problems and made calls for us in Italian. We will return to this establishment!

18/04/2026: Total disappointment At the aperitif, we were invited with only a few chips, a prelude to a rich and unfortunately disappointing dinner.... Appetizers were a real treat; considering the number of people we were, we each received a slice of cured meat and a teaspoonful of ricotta "spumetta." First course, a triple tray, which divided among 9 people must have been two or three spoonfuls each of pasta with fresh tomato sauce and little seasoning. Main courses were meat-based (porceddu/kid), very small portions, meager grilled vegetables with little seasoning. A small piece of porceddu per person, two pieces of kid, and not even the carasau bread could satisfy our hunger. Desserts were good, "seadas," but they couldn't satisfy our hunger... Nice location, polite staff, food needs updating. I hope they'll do better; we definitely won't be returning. Good wines and bubbles.

08/10/2025: Twice I received grated cheese with mold on it. The shrimp in the meal was inedible and smelled very strong. The spaghetti carbonara also had a very strange taste. The ravioli and panna cotta, however, were delicious. I wouldn't recommend it due to the poor quality and high price.

02/10/2025: We liked this restaurant so much we visited three times during our 11 day stay. Diverse menu gave a number of choices. Steak done to meet two peoples choices was very good.

01/05/2026: Good restaurant. Good food. A sure bet. We come to Sardinia often and we often go to this restaurant. Very good team. Friendly and professional. In summer, you need to book because it gets very busy.

03/09/2025: Very tidy hotel, spacious room, and comfortable beds. Very friendly reception staff. We had an early excursion, and they gave us breakfast before the scheduled time. Very attentive! Great location, just a few meters from the beach and also a few meters from the center for nightlife. Easy parking.

11/12/2025: Excellent Restaurant!! The restaurant is very well-kept, and the entrance exudes elegance and order. The owner, a very kind and polite person, welcomed us. The cuisine is excellent, with top-quality ingredients! The value for money is truly excellent. From appetizer to dessert, we ate divinely. I highly recommend their Sardinian oysters, bottarga, and everything on the menu. I will return and highly recommend it.

05/10/2025: The restaurant is very welcoming and well-lit. The first courses and desserts were excellent, but unfortunately the second course (fried fish) wasn't even comparable to a Lidl frozen dish; it would have been worth returning. Overall, for two people, with two bottles of water and a glass of wine, spending well over €100 seemed a bit excessive.

27/09/2025: The restaurant manager was very rude. We arrived 5 minutes before opening and we sat outside. Another waiter came and we asked for a place inside because it was a bit cold, he very kindly took us inside. Immediately the manager started telling the waiter off for that. We asked for 2 extra minutes to decide what to eat and the manager responded very ironically. The food was average. The grilled squid was hard and the prawns had sandy taste and texture. The pizza was ok.

24/09/2025: What a rude old man....when we ordered a takeaway his attitude to us changed..we had a drink while waiting for our pizza...when pizzas were ready they weren't brought to us, just left on a table only 10 feet away and he said "pizza"... however the young man who took our order was very friendly and let us have a beer whilst we waited. Won't be going back to give them my hard earned cash

19/02/2026: I work in Sardinia during the summer, and visiting Sottomonte... tasting their delicacies... mmm... zuppa gallurese, suckling pig... and all the other delicious specialties... the roaring fire, the kindness of the staff... all of this is priceless! Nothing can describe the satisfaction of dining at Giovannino. I go very often in the summer for "work," and I'm always more satisfied with my choice. Try it!
