01/11/2024: We went for lunch at the end of October on a beautiful sunny day. The restaurant is located in an area well served by parking and close to the rocks on which the live action Disney Little Mermaid was filmed. We ate outside with a view of the sea (unfortunately "filtered by the not too clean/transparent plastic of the gazebo). Authentic restaurant, which offers home-made cuisine without too many frills. Little form but a lot of substance. Excellent fregola and good service Price slightly high in my opinion, but probably average for Castelsardo. I would go back.

08/12/2024: SOS. POST ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE WITH FOOD ALLERGIES AND INTOLERANCES I share this experience because it perhaps saves the lives of those with food allergies. I went to eat pizza, I ordered a white pizza, reiterating several times to the waiter that I am allergic to tomatoes, it makes my glottis edema and my throat closes to the point of suffocation, which was happening to me yesterday in this pizzeria as they put tomato in my pizza, which being covered by mozzarella and cut thinly I didn't see it, I felt my throat begin to swell while I ate the second bite of pizza. I immediately called the waitress and asked if there was any tomato in the pizza among the strips of meat, reminding her that I am allergic. The waitress ran into the kitchen to ask. The answer froze me, Yes, there is some dried tomato cooked with strips. Ruined dinner, rush to the emergency room as I didn't have any drugs on hand. Done four doses of cortisone and antihistamine. I wonder if a person's life can depend on the seriousness and professionalism of a waiter. Never again. Cross. Having said that, be careful, don't trust anyone who says they have noted your allergies and intolerances. P.S. More insult than injury, in addition to creating danger to my life, they also made me pay for two cans of tea that we neither ordered nor consumed. For goodness sake. 17/11/2024: I have been last Thursday for a dinner with friends , top local menu , great service , quality price fully respected , the best restaurant in the area , very close to the house of Antonio Gramsci and the environment of Monte Arci , a super majestic Cathedral in front , you can associate a visit to Ales and a great time in the restaurant .

09/10/2024: Our hotel receptionist recommended this place for traditional food, she tried to call ahead to book, no answer. We decided to walk and try our luck. After 20 minutes of walking, we arrived, and the restaurant was closed despite on Google it showing as open. I really wish restaurants would update Google accordingly if they are closing for off peak season. This is the 3rd place we went to within this area which was closed but online said was open.

04/01/2025: Pessima esperienza servizio pessimo. 46 minuti di attesa tra gli antipasti e il primo piatto spaghetti vongole bottarga e cannolicchio , senza gusto e pasta scotta , essendo pasta fresca avrebbero dovuto interrompe la cottura prima per poi far saltare e amalgamare tutto assieme. Conto esagerato per la qualità del cibo , mix di numero sei(6) antipasti gourmet è un primo piatto, eccellente solamente il cestino del pane , ottimo gustoso e croccante,

03/01/2025: Dopo anni, sono tornata alla Trattoria Portixedda, e devo dire che l’esperienza ha superato ogni aspettativa. La qualità che ricordavo, eccellente e genuina, è rimasta intatta, ma ciò che mi ha davvero colpito è l’evoluzione del locale. La cucina ha raggiunto un nuovo livello di ricercatezza, proponendo piatti che combinano sapientemente tradizione e innovazione, con sapori autentici e una cura straordinaria per i dettagli. L’ambiente è stato ammodernato, mantenendo però quell’atmosfera accogliente e familiare che l’ha sempre caratterizzata. Il servizio è impeccabile, attento e cordiale, mentre il rapporto qualità-prezzo è semplicemente eccezionale, rendendo la Trattoria Portixedda una tappa imperdibile per chiunque voglia vivere un’esperienza gastronomica di alto livello senza spendere una fortuna. Un ritorno che mi ha fatto riscoprire un piccolo gioiello culinario!

13/11/2024: I am giving the food and service a 2 because I’d sent back a pizza that was soupy. I’d ordered the same pizza 4 nights ago and it was amazing. I was told this is normal. The table next to me also agreed it was watery. That is not the issue. They took it back and I’d ordered something else. But, we were totally snubbed by the very hosts that welcomed us the first 2 nights we ate there. For that reason alone, we wont’ go back ever. And why the not so great review. If you treat your customer base as though they offended you, then you must risk a review that will match this attitude. I am not one to offer such reviews but it was almost humiliating to be snubbed. So many amazing places to eat. I’ll spend more money for better treatment. Thank you kindly.
