14/06/2026: I returned to this restaurant after a few years, where I'd always enjoyed it, but unfortunately this year I had a bad experience. Besides the extremely high prices, starting with the €3.50 cover charge and the filtered Aquamea at €3 a liter, I ordered the gluten-free pizza, which, unfortunately, was terrible. The first one arrived half-frozen (the dough is frozen, and they add the toppings when you order). They remade it for me, but even the terrible one, which I ate only because I was hungry. And they charged me for both! Then I ordered a typical Sardinian dessert from Alghero, crema catalana, but they brought me a dessert that had nothing to do with the classic recipe... and on top of that, it was frozen, and I paid €7. The restaurant is very nice and the staff is friendly, but I don't think I'll be returning.

05/07/2026: Finally a well-run restaurant Knowledgeable and competent staff Good wine list, finally, without too many markups; wine is meant to be savored and experienced. The tomato on the amberjack steak and the mixed rigatoni had a too strong and acidic flavor. Everything else was good, from the tender octopus to the deconstructed shrimp cocktail. I'll be back. Dining with your feet in the sand is relaxing.

04/07/2026: During our 10-day stay in Golfo Aranci, we visited La Spigola almost every day because our apartment was located next to the beach. Unfortunately, our experience became more disappointing over time. At first, the staff were friendly and we were able to rent a front-row umbrella without a reservation. Later, although front-row umbrellas were still shown as available online, we were repeatedly told they were reserved and were only offered umbrellas much farther back. It often seemed that the staff themselves were unsure which umbrellas were actually available. We were travelling with a toddler and a 6-year-old and did not feel particularly welcome. On one occasion, I was refused access to the restroom because it was being cleaned, without any alternative being offered. We also felt uncomfortable entering the restaurant from the beach, as we were repeatedly looked at disapprovingly because we had sandy feet, despite this being a beach restaurant. There were also no high chairs available. Another disappointing experience was the reservation process. Even though we showed our online booking confirmation for the umbrellas, the beach staff questioned our reservation without even checking the confirmation first. We were also surprised by the price increase. At the end of June, two sunbeds and one front-row umbrella cost €45. From the beginning of July, the same setup cost €70. While seasonal pricing is understandable, we expected a much higher level of service and a cleaner beach for that price. Unfortunately, there were cigarette butts and litter around the sunbed area.

08/09/2025: Amazing restaurant with delicious food! The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection, and the local dishes were full of flavor - truly a highlight of our trip. Special thanks to our waitress Tatiana - she was so friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and warm service!

02/06/2026: A fantastic restaurant with friendly service and delicious, fresh food. The fish and mussels were particularly outstanding, and the value for money was excellent. The Aperol Spritz was also very refreshing. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience away from the crowded old town.

03/06/2026: Super quiet hotel, situated in a lovely garden with greenery, trees, cacti, a small pond, a massage area, and a jacuzzi. The room was cool, spacious, and functional, with a chair and table outside overlooking the shaded courtyard. The breakfast was excellent and very generous, and the staff was very pleasant and welcoming. Highly recommended.

31/05/2026: Very quiet hotel, very kind and helpful staff and managers, excellent food, comfortable rooms. Parking is excellent. You couldn't ask for anything better.

20/05/2026: Pizzas here are tasty. Quick and friendly service. We stayed 2 weeks in Castelsardo and ate the best pizzas here. Waiter was really nice and helpful. North of money for sure.

17/07/2026: The waitress was pushing us to order more, offering a salad to accompany the meat. This wasn't included in the price. Given the price of the dishes, we expected better side dishes. We found it expensive compared to other restaurants in Sardinia.
