MeC Puddu's In Baunei

The waitress was pushing us to order more, offering a salad to accompany the meat. This wasn't included in the price. Given the price of the dishes, we expected better side dishes. We found it expensive compared to other restaurants in Sardinia.

What can I say? For Sardinians, "Mec Puddu's" is a name that evokes past feuds involving MCs! 😂 That said, it's a truly top-notch place. Coming from Cagliari, I naively expected a sort of fast food restaurant with a local twist. I don't know if that was the case in the beginning, but now prepare yourself for a very different experience! The spacious restaurant opens onto the internal dining room, which overlooks the pizzeria and bar, and then opens onto a large, well-organized and welcoming outdoor dining area. The menu ranges from appetizers to traditional first courses with interesting twists, various cuts of meat, and even some wonderful pizzas. The wide selection of cocktails is also noteworthy, something uncommon in restaurants of this type! Fast, friendly, efficient, and the quality of the food and service is excellent! Highly recommended!

The meats are excellent, but the pizzas could be improved. The service and hospitality are impeccable.

What a fantastic experience – everything was delicious! The Gorgonzola gnocchi were especially good, so good that we came back a second time just for them. The cheese rings (Gathulis) were also absolutely amazing. On top of that, the team is incredibly friendly and attentive, and they have a really great selection of tasty drinks. All in all, a highly recommended spot!
