Highlights: flan artichoke, house carbonara, tagliatelle with artichokes and guanciale, manzo. Love the cross between new and traditional Roman.

This place is a hidden gem in the town of Giurdagnano. Very relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, and fantastic food. Try the pittole for something different.

ABBIAMO APPENA CENATO, TUTTO ECCELLENTE, CIBO. LOCATION, SERVIZIO. CONSIGLIATISSIMO.

La location è suggestiva trattandosi del cortile d’onore di un palazzo baronale del ‘500 in pietra leccese. Piacevole sorpresa ormai la tavola imbandita con tovaglia e tovaglioli in cotone nonché il menù abbastanza vario sia di carne che di pesce. In quattro abbiamo preso due antipasti di pesce per i quali mi sono pentito di non aver fatto subito una foto ma solo dopo aver già dimezzato il contenuto: vario saporito bel cotto e ben presentati su posto rettangolare in vetro; poi due calamarate e due l’inguine tutte allo scoglio ben condite e, cosa ormai insolita, piuttosto abbondanti anche per la coppia giovane. Infine due spumoni ai ricchi e mandorle e due sorbetto al limone. Nota dolente: 8 euro per una bottiglia da 375 mml di bianco locale del 2022 ritengo siano eccessivi.
