If I could, I'd give it 6 stars! A truly positive experience. We had a wonderful time: the fish was incredibly fresh and beautifully cooked, and everything was delicious, from appetizer to dessert. The staff was wonderful, incredibly kind and attentive; they made us feel at home throughout the evening. Highly recommended if you want to eat excellent seafood in Varazze!

We discovered this place on our first night in Varazze, and we didn't eat anywhere else the following days. All the dishes were delicious, and the service was fantastic; you felt right at home from the first time.

A worthy place for simple seafood cuisine where you can taste the freshness of the excellent quality ingredients. All that's left to do is try it and ask for advice. Congratulations. We always return, and this year, as always, everything was excellent.

It's a shame I can't give 10 stars, but everything is exceptional. The place may not be super refined, but it's certainly welcoming and full of enthusiasm. The dishes, all fish-based, are amazing without many strange reinterpretations and truly tasty, where fish and sea are the protagonists. Top service, the chef and his wife are super delicious.... in the face of other restaurants with a lot of smoke and no dinner. Well done

We went two nights in a row (first with 6, then with 3) and had a wonderful time! Fresh fish, cooked to perfection! The wait staff was friendly, welcoming, and professional. The chef comes through the dining room and pampers his guests like they used to! We'll definitely be back in the warmer months to try the outdoor seating! Highly recommended!

From Varese every time we come to Varazze our restaurant is exclusively "il Gambero" excellent in everything... food, kindness, familiarity... You feel at home.

24/02/2026: Excellent pizza, super digestible dough, soft crust, well-cooked but not burnt. You can tell the flour used is high-quality, and the leavening is excellent.
22/12/2025: A rustic place with a truly old-fashioned inn feel. Good food, good seating. Recommended.

19/04/2026: My friends and I went to Ostrica Ubriaca in Lecce and we were truly impressed. The quality of the fish is excellent: fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully presented in every dish. You can immediately sense the attention to detail in the selection of ingredients and their preparation. Another strong point is definitely the staff: friendly, helpful, and always attentive without being intrusive. They helped make the experience even more enjoyable. A place I absolutely recommend to anyone who loves good fish and attentive service. We'll be back!
