Cooked seafood appetizer €25 (bruschetta with salmon and butter, bruschetta with anchovies and stracciatella, 7 fresh mussels, squid in white sauce, and classic octopus). Cover charge €3, water €3, small sea bream with potatoes, cherry tomatoes, and olives (baked) €25. Normal portions, above-average prices. I recommend reading other users' negative reviews to learn how to deal with the staff. They aren't rude, but it's true that they're not clear and you need to ask specific questions and demand precise answers. The price and weight of the fish weren't clear. However, with these precautions, you can have a fairly peaceful lunch. The fish is definitely fresh and local (for the counter-service fish, you're allowed to choose from the ones displayed, as soon as they're delivered). First courses range from €16 to €25. €84 for a lunch, even if it's seafood, but with that quantity, isn't worth it. The appetizer included some very good dishes, but also dishes that were too simple to represent the price tag. Shoulders. The fish stall (€80/kg) suffers from the excessive price. Not a bad experience, but I recommend it for large groups (4 or more), to sample everything individually and to avoid spending too much, as other users have reported. An experience worth trying once for a treat.

21/08/2025: @ATTENTION@ RESTAURANT FOR UNPROVIDENT TOURISTS!! Restaurant recommended by the Maître d' at the best hotel in Bari. The food is unquestionably good, but it's really difficult to eat badly in Bari. The waiter is attentive to everything, but he's also a bit crafty, and the fact that he recommends something then causes a moment of anger when you go to pay. We had lunch for five of us, eating: 1 burratina each, 2 bruschettas each with butter and salmon, and the other with stracciatella and anchovy, crudités as pictured, 1 bottle of rosé, 2 bottles of water, 5 sorbets, and 3 coffees. The bill was over €80 per person. The problem arose when I entered the restaurant to pay the bill. I witnessed the waiter who served us gesticulating as if he were chopping meat with an axe and telling the person doing the bill to add it to the bill, saying, "Come on, come on, don't worry, add it!" This shows that restaurants like this will have trouble staying open in the long run, as you can rip people off once, but they never come back, and most importantly, they'll never recommend the same restaurant to others. In fact, most of the customers, as confirmed by locals, are tourists passing through; locals either don't go there because it's too expensive, or, more importantly, if you move a few hundred meters, you'll find restaurants where the food is much better and the price is significantly lower. I will definitely never return to this restaurant, not because the food is bad, but because of the sly management, from the waiters to the restaurant manager, and even the owner. When I asked, "But the raw fish has tripled in price compared to the menu," his response was, "Well, this year there's no fish; what you can get is expensive!" You should be ashamed of yourself for scamming your customers!!! I STRONGLY DISCOMMEND!

15/08/2025: I had the opportunity to eat breakfast at this restaurant every day (because the hosts of the apartment I stayed in (I recommend this accommodation, by the way!, but that's a Booking.com review) are also the owners of this restaurant/cafe). My breakfast consisted of a cappuccino and toast :) I also had the opportunity to try a tuna croissant. P.S. For those who love sweets or simply traditional Italian (SWEETY) breakfasts - the croissants were fresh and crispy!

If you're celiac, it's better to show up without pretensions, frozen pizza, super poor appetizers, dessert at the end: forget it. But in the end you pay the same. Slow service and waiter not suited to being with customers; Sometimes it's better to avoid certain jokes...

03/07/2025: Great place to eat exquisite meat. I've never tried the first courses so I can't say but the tagliata with lardo di colonnata was sublime and also the fillet with porcini mushrooms was really very good. The wines are also good

But if I think that in a place with a name like yours, your cashier prevents me from using the restroom, what a shame... 08/06/2025: L’accueil du propriétaire semble froide au premier contact. Par la suite il est plutôt amicale mais ne communique qu’en italien. Les plats de pâtes doivent être commandé en duo ce qui est contraignant. Par contre le plat de pâtes choisi « pasta Fresca alla cardinale » était bon, généreux, goûteux mais un peu trop salé. Tandis que le plat de viandes varier était très bon en particulier la saucisse. Pour dessert, deux morceaux de gâteau maison qui a notre avis, au prix de 2€, était plus que délicieux. Bref, 2 plats de pâtes, 1 plat de viandes grillé, 1 litre de vin maison et 2 morceaux de gâteau pour 46€. Très satisfait mais ne vous attendez pas à de la grande classe, juste de la bonne nourriture.

13/04/2025: Oggi domenica delle Palme pranzo in famiglia all'osteria delle travi a bari vecchia. Devo dire che ci mancavo da un paio di anni. Ho trovato la solita cordialità del proprietario sempre disponibile e gentile. Altrettanto dicasi per tutto lo staff dei camerieri. Per quanto riguarda il cibo sempre di qualità con pesce freschissimo e cotto, in particolare la frittura, in maniera eccellente. Le porzioni abbondanti. Quindi un sentito grazie per tutto. 22/08/2025: Total disorganization. There was only one waiter who apologized a thousand times for the various shortcomings. We ordered a platter of cured meats and cheeses with dips, which weren't bad, but unfortunately they forgot the dips, bread, and plates to taste them. After asking, they brought us stale bread and plates. We asked for the wine list twice, but they only brought it to us after we'd finished eating. Afterwards, we ordered orecchiette with turnip greens, the worst I've ever had, made with tomatoes and a broth. The ravioli were acceptable, although tasteless. I recommend increasing the staff and paying more attention to detail and customer requests.

26/07/2025: Trovato per caso, da subito abbiamo capito che aveva appeal, e non ci siamo smentiti! Cibo di qualità e cucinato ad arte, prodotti tipici. Consigliamo "strascinate con cime di rapa". 15/07/2025: Pro: ampia scelta di cibi e bevande; ambiente carino ed informale; personale cortese e disponibile; parcheggio riservato ai clienti. Contro: tavoli un pó impolverati (colpa dei ventilatori?); prezzi alla cassa che spesso non coincidono con quelli sul menu!!
