14/07/2026: I was once again blown away by the preparation and meticulous attention to detail of all the products they served. As soon as we arrived, they seated us outside: a very elegant and modern location for those who want to enjoy high-quality food. The staff was very friendly and kind, accommodating our every request. The pizzas were delicious and, above all, generous with toppings, but thanks to the super-digestible dough, we didn't feel heavy at all. I highly recommend going there to enjoy so many delicacies. I'll be back soon!

20/08/2026: Nice atmosphere, nothing to complain about. The pizza wasn't to my taste; it was thin, a bit hard, and the toppings were very limited (a simple Margherita with tomato and mozzarella only in the center, and the edges were obviously bare). 1-star service, unfortunately. The sauce containers for the fries were brought to the table dirty and with used packets. I asked the waitress if she could change them, and she just huffed and puffed. The wait was too long to be served. I'm not saying service should be immediate, but I understand if the place is busy, but coming to the table after 20 minutes, bringing water, and waiting another 20 minutes to order, I'd say is not good. I won't be back.

14/08/2026: We've been here twice in four days. The first time was on August 8th, as soon as we arrived, because it was on our list. The second time was on the 11th, when we had reservations elsewhere: we changed our minds and came back here. This, if you will, is the whole review. First evening, tables outside: cool atmosphere even in the middle of August, simple table settings, no frills—exactly as it should be. The house appetizer was spectacular; from the cured meats to the cheeses, we left nothing out. Then orecchiette with turnip tops, made to perfection, and for the kids, cutlets and fries: enormous cutlets, the kind a child looks at and knows he's lost from the start. Beers, liqueurs, all included: about 80 euros, and we left full and happy. On the second evening, we asked if it was possible to eat inside: they set up the room especially for us. Just for us. In August, in the height of season, in Alberobello. That alone says it all about how they work. And in that room: more house appetizers, always on the same level. My wife and I had two fillets, each cooked differently so we could share them, ordered both cooked and overcooked because rare isn't our thing—they arrived perfectly cooked and tender. A delight. The kids had pasta with tomato sauce and orecchiette, specifically requested after tasting them the previous time. Beers, wine, liqueurs, and soft drinks: just over €100. A price that, on this vacation, was standard elsewhere for three pizzas and a plate of chips. In 2026, paying like a pizzeria and eating like that is almost subversive. A special mention for the service: all the waiters were kind and attentive, especially the head waiter who took our orders—professional, pleasant enough, never intrusive, and always keeping an eye on the entire dining room. I'm sorry I don't know his name. We'll be back. Not "if we get the chance": we'll be back.

26/07/2026: We wanted to come for a special fish supper for our last night in Italy so chose La Battigia as it had some good reviews. Sadly the evening was very disappointing.....rude, offhand, slow service especially from the lead waiter outside. He never smiled and literally plonked the food down , no grace. We waited a long time to have our order taken and then the starter arrived before we had got our wine and it wasn't particularly busy !! They served the fried calamari without any fresh lemon which I found odd.....🤔. The tuna steak wasn't properly seared and was chewy. We had FAR nicer fish suppers at other less prestigious restaurants on our Italian holiday. As we were leaving a smart young couple arrived in a big car, parked right outside the restaurant blocking a busy road, left their hazard lights on and then came and sat down for a meal .....seemed to us that this place was more about style than substance. Avoid ....and go to a more authentic, friendly restaurant.

16/08/2026: A simply wonderful experience, from every perspective. The dishes were a true discovery: delicate, refined, balanced, and meticulously crafted, showcasing every ingredient. The service was impeccable, attentive, professional, and at the same time extremely welcoming, making us feel immediately at ease. The truly enchanting location made the experience even more special: a splendid sea view complemented the dinner and created a unique and evocative atmosphere. A restaurant where you can sense passion, care, and love for their work. An experience we will definitely cherish and highly recommend to anyone looking to treat ourselves to a truly special evening. 16/08/2026: The experience at Meraviglioso was truly excellent, from arrival to the end of the dinner. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the staff with great kindness and professionalism. Throughout the evening, they were present and attentive, without ever being intrusive: a meticulous service that contributed greatly to the overall quality of the experience. The cuisine was also very high quality. We began with appetizers, all very good and prepared with top-quality ingredients. The first course was probably one of the highlights of the dinner: well-balanced flavors, excellent ingredients, and preparation that definitely lived up to expectations. The wine cellar deserves special mention. During dinner, we were recommended a wine that proved exceptional and paired perfectly with the dishes. It was a bottle that impressed us so much that I would return to Meraviglioso just to drink it again. Overall, what I appreciated most was the attention to detail throughout the experience: from the welcome to the service, from the quality of the products to the wine selection. You don't just feel like you're dining, but rather being accompanied throughout the evening by a staff that pays attention to detail and knows how to offer advice. Marvellous, it's definitely a restaurant I'd return to. When I'm back in Polignano a Mare, it will definitely be one of my stops.

22/08/2026: We had dinner here this evening, two couples. We arrived at 9:00 PM and didn't start eating until 10:30 PM, after about an hour and a half of waiting. We finally left around midnight. We each had a pizza, five medium draft beers, a portion of fries, and two bottles of water, for a total of €107 (€26.75 per person). The price, considering what we ate, didn't seem out of line, but honestly, I expected a much better experience. The pizza, at least the one I had, wasn't the best: I only ate half. What I was most disappointed about, however, was the incredibly long wait. I'm a local and have always had a good experience there in the past, which is precisely why I was particularly disappointed this evening. What bothers me even more is the feeling that, once seated at a table, locals are treated like passing tourists: you come in, pay, and say hello, with little regard for the fact that you might be a repeat customer. I don't like leaving negative reviews, especially for a place where I've previously enjoyed my experience, but this time, unfortunately, the experience was truly awful. I sincerely hope it was just a bad night, because I'd expect a different kind of attention from a local place, especially towards those who live here and choose to return.

21/08/2026: Our experience was, unfortunately, disappointing. Although the restaurant was almost empty, with only two tables occupied, we were not given the opportunity to choose where to sit, but were shown the table we were supposed to sit at. The most unpleasant aspect, however, was the waiting time: we waited almost an hour to receive our food, which is hard to understand considering how few customers there were in the restaurant. In addition, the waiters were almost constantly standing right behind us, which created a feeling of discomfort and being watched, although there were enough other free areas in the restaurant. Unfortunately, the food did not compensate for the experience either — it was rather mediocre and certainly not at the level we would have expected after such a long wait. Overall, an experience that could be considerably improved both in terms of service and attention to customer comfort, as well as the quality of the dishes

20/07/2026: I'd been following the restaurant's Instagram page for a while and, drawn by their posts, last Saturday I decided to try it with three dear friends. Our expectations were definitely met: Il Piccio proved to be a must-visit for anyone passing through Minervino Murge. We opted for the dinner menu, which, at the incredible price of €25 per person, offers a comprehensive and generous selection of traditional local flavors. The Appetizer: We start off strong with local products. The cheeses stand out, with an excellent scamorza, a very fresh ricotta, and a delicious, juicy mozzarella. Among the cured meats, an exceptional capocollo deserves an honorable mention, a spicy salami with a kick of its own, and a truly delicious artisanal treat reminiscent of cotechino. Everything is accompanied by a warm focaccia of their own production and the inevitable traditional delicacies: bread balls and cucoli (delicious little fried dough balls), perfect for pairing with the cured meats. The house red wine, with its strong and intense flavor, perfectly complemented this first course. La Brace (the main course): The meat is the absolute star. We were served a perfectly cooked mix with the unmistakable marks of real embers: Donkey sausage with an incredible and deep flavor. Succulent pork shoulder. Classic sausage and tender horse meat strips. The masterful touch? The selected cuts are served on a bed of potatoes enriched with long green peppers: a side dish that captures all the juices and flavors of the embers, becoming something extraordinary. In summary: Excellent raw materials, respect for tradition, and a final price (€25 per person) that is honestly rare for such quality and quantity. I will definitely be back! Tip for travelers: We highly recommend booking well in advance, especially for Saturday evenings, as the place is rightfully very popular. Price per person: €20-30 (fixed menu €25) Recommended dishes: Mixed grilled meats on a bed of potatoes and green peppers, Cucoli (a type of sausage), and mixed Murgia antipasti.

24/12/2025: I'm shocked, disappointed, and very, very bitter... two proseccos (no particular brand), a plate of raw fish (an oyster, a shrimp, and two scampi), plus two other small plates of various things (cold, by the way, including some fried food)... Basically, everything to share, nothing calculated for two! Total €70... basically two aperitifs for €35 per person, the cost of a dinner in a pinch... I understand it's Christmas Eve, but increasing the price like this is truly illegal... half an hour to be so bled... I don't think I'll be back, not even for a coffee, because I felt truly cheated, never mind Christmas wishes... What a disappointment...

16/11/2025: I go to this bar exclusively for the products which are of good quality especially the really good croissants, but unfortunately I have to give one star because it is not the first time it happens, I am referring to the waitress Alina who served me the croissants and then made me pay, a piece of advice, education and empathy are the basis of this job, I enter saying hello and I barely get a response, a desire to work equal to 0, and after having paid even worse, if you do not want to be in contact with people, you are asked to change jobs, because the image of the place depends on it, which I repeat is TRULY EXCELLENT

05/07/2026: I've been here two years in a row. This year I came back because my friends and I had good memories, but unfortunately it was anything but pleasant. We dined outside, and after dinner, we needed to use the bathrooms inside. Five of us went upstairs to the first floor of the restaurant where the bathroom is, and we were yelled at like 10-year-olds because, "You can't have so many people go upstairs to use the bathroom." This was just one of the things a guy who works there shouted at us, and he had no respect for us, perhaps thinking we were talking to some of his friends from his group. After we tried to explain that no one had told us it couldn't be done (not even if we'd decided to play hide-and-seek inside the restaurant), he continued to raise his voice in front of all the customers... shame on them and the embarrassment THEY made in front of everyone. After paying the bill, we got up to leave, and as we were walking away, this very nice and polite young man started asking his colleague loudly if we had gotten up without paying. I don't think there's a greater lack of respect towards a customer who is paying for a service that YOU should be able to provide at your best. I emphasize that we are nine 30-year-olds who have always worked in the restaurant industry and who know very well what respect is and how to show it. Perhaps you should review your staff, because unfortunately, you're losing a lot of points because of this. The only positive note is the girls in the dining room, who were professional.

05/07/2026: The food was quite good, but the experience was completely ruined by the treatment we received from the staff inside. The girls who served us were always kind and helpful. When it was time to use the bathroom, we were stopped and rudely yelled at, in a completely inappropriate tone. Shortly afterward, a very young waiter came up to check on us, questioning us for no reason, and then raised his voice at one of us. There were nine of us at a table of six, but we didn't cause any problems or make any demands. We had already paid the bill, and as we were leaving, the same waiter loudly asked a colleague if we had paid, making us feel further accused. We're a group of quiet adults; we waited a long time for both our table and our pizzas: truly rude and inexcusable treatment.

13/08/2026: Good food, for goodness sake, the scene I witnessed was a little less so, I couldn't help but notice the waiter with a receding hairline in the middle of his head loudly scolding a blonde waitress towards the end of the service, making her look terrible, a sign of little professionalism given that these things are discussed after the service after the customers have left, and in any case maintaining an appropriate tone and not shouting.

08/08/2026: Prefer this beach than Pane e Pomodoro. More safe, there are showers (you pay 0,25 or 0,50 for a few minutes water) and have sun beds and umbrella for rent. Lifeguards are present. Beach is clean. Cafe onsite for drinks and light snacks.
