Someone told us to come back at 1:00 PM, and when we returned at 1:00 PM, the restaurant was closed. Thanks for the wasted time and the appalling service. But it's certainly our fault, just like all the other customers who leave negative reviews.

19/02/2026: At the gates of Bari Vecchia, this splendid restaurant is located a few hundred meters from the port. Before entering, we pass a truck unloading fresh fish, which is displayed at the entrance so as to welcome diners who can already get an idea of ​​what awaits them once they are seated. We are pampered by the very friendly and professional waiting staff, punctual and precise in their advice and descriptions of the dishes. The entree is based on burrata and artichoke fritters, as well as a selection of very popular and delicious cheeses. Focaccia is a must in the basket along with the bread. We decide on the white sea bream tartare; I don't remember ever having eaten one so good. Then there are the cod meatballs and a seafood salad that is an explosion of flavors: cuttlefish, octopus, mussels, and clams. Finally, a salt-baked fish, wild sea bream, that melts in the mouth due to the sweetness of its flesh.

The seafood was raw and the appetizer was lousy... the main course wasn't even worth mentioning, unfortunately I can't seem to find anything to save... I don't understand what happened. I'm so sorry...!!!!

24/12/2025: I'm shocked, disappointed, and very, very bitter... two proseccos (no particular brand), a plate of raw fish (an oyster, a shrimp, and two scampi), plus two other small plates of various things (cold, by the way, including some fried food)... Basically, everything to share, nothing calculated for two! Total €70... basically two aperitifs for €35 per person, the cost of a dinner in a pinch... I understand it's Christmas Eve, but increasing the price like this is truly illegal... half an hour to be so bled... I don't think I'll be back, not even for a coffee, because I felt truly cheated, never mind Christmas wishes... What a disappointment...

16/11/2025: I go to this bar exclusively for the products which are of good quality especially the really good croissants, but unfortunately I have to give one star because it is not the first time it happens, I am referring to the waitress Alina who served me the croissants and then made me pay, a piece of advice, education and empathy are the basis of this job, I enter saying hello and I barely get a response, a desire to work equal to 0, and after having paid even worse, if you do not want to be in contact with people, you are asked to change jobs, because the image of the place depends on it, which I repeat is TRULY EXCELLENT

17/01/2026: If you're in the Polignano area and looking for a place to eat without being a fan of seafood delicacies, definitely go out of your way and drop by Conversano. A whole range of meat delicacies awaits you there, not counting the prepared dishes on the menu. And don't let the counter full of meat fool you; upon entering, you might think it's an ordinary butcher's shop. Behind the counter, you're greeted by a smiling, enormous man whose very presence beckons you in. You immediately feel like you've been there many times before, as the girls will lead you to a table that might have a reservation, but you arrived at the right time. And, as in Italy, you'll eat cheaply and to your heart's content. Everyone who comes in is a friend, and that's what the man behind the counter is all about. Friendly and smiling. You have to go back.

04/01/2026: A lovely restaurant in the historic center of Bitonto. The first course, featuring cardoncello mushrooms (€20 for the dish, which raises expectations), was a sore point. The pasta, poorly combined with the sauce, immediately tasted strange. We reported the anomaly to the friendly wait staff and sent the dish back to the kitchen. We would have expected at least a brief apology from the chef when we received the bill, which we would have paid anyway. The "mangiaresano" (healthy eating) on ​​the Wi-Fi password should be changed to "mangiaresanosetivabene" (eatinghealthyandhealthy). Anyone who ate those two forkfuls of pasta before sending it back reported severe stomach pains. A bit disappointed.

14/12/2025: The food quality is very high, the service impeccable. I think it's a bit crowded due to the number of seats. I think the bathrooms need to be redesigned for disabled access (or maybe there are some and we just didn't see them). But all in all, considering the location, the value for money is excellent. The food is good, and the location is very convenient for a post-lunch or dinner stroll. I'd gladly return.

03/12/2025: Excellent food, excellent service, and truly friendly staff. The charming, clean, and tidy space allows for easy conversation. The staff's uniforms are attractive; the price is fair. We ordered a platter, followed by paccheri with swordfish and a veal tagliata, which arrived promptly. We'll definitely be back.

13/03/2026: The interior is cute, quite rustic, reminding me a bit of a tourist attraction inside an amusement park. The food is exceptional; I recommend the spaghetti all'assassina. I must say I noticed the high quality of the dishes, especially at the fairly reasonable prices. The service is a major flaw: they forgot our appetizers, misunderstood our order, didn't bring our drinks, and it took them five minutes to issue a bill. However, the overall quality is good; I'd gladly return.

22/02/2026: Good pizza, but having to get up right after the bill for our group, including some out-of-towners, was unpleasant. It was like saying, "You've eaten, well, you can go now." We didn't intend to sleep there. A bad experience for me! We were piled on top of each other; I didn't even have room to get up and go to the bathroom.

10/01/2026: We ordered a portion of fries and two pizzas. The pizzas were cold, and the fries tasted like bell peppers. The curly-haired girl, insistent on taking our orders quickly, was also rude. Furthermore, she sprayed disinfectant liberally to clean the adjacent tables, not caring about the smell or whether it would end up on the pizza; doing this not only to us but to all the surrounding tables.
