08/03/2026: I went on March 8th for Women's Day. The menu didn't match the one posted. Instead of ravioli, they served linguine and tasteless, unsalted fish. The location is beautiful, but the bathrooms need maintenance.

12/04/2026: Wonderful in name and in nature! I'm returning to this restaurant after four years and I feel the same magic as the first time. The dishes are "stellar" and "starred." Finally, something innovative that, in addition to visual beauty, adds a light, refined, and above all lively flavor. For two, we ate: tomato tartare, bread with friggitelli peppers and scampi, chard pancotto and fried fava beans; gigli with crab and octopus; and dessert called bread and chocolate. While we waited, a variety of entrees and finger foods were offered. The service was absolutely exceptional, given the attention to customer service in the presentation and preparation of the dishes. With a glass of rosé and coffee, about €80 per person, absolutely well spent. For me, the best restaurant in Puglia.

22/03/2026: What can I say... I celebrated my daughter's 18th birthday yesterday. Starting with the owners, they're incredibly kind and helpful, especially Roberta. The food was excellent, high-quality, and above all, plentiful. We'll definitely be back, I highly recommend it!

24/03/2026: La Battigia, Bari – Beautiful to look at, disappointing to taste The place is wonderful, meticulously crafted and aesthetically pleasing: that's precisely what captivates you. It's a shame the food isn't up to par. I ordered French oysters with elderflower champagne: at first sip, the drink was bitter and unpleasant, and the oysters were full of sand. My 4-year-old son, usually a big eater, refused the orecchiette with sauce because of the intense smell of dampness and pecorino cheese, so strong it was nauseating. When we asked for a change of napkins, the waiter candidly replied that they were from the dry cleaners. The four-course tasting menu was a disaster: every dish was overly salty, with no attention to detail or balance in the flavors. For almost €100 per person, the quality of the food was simply unacceptable. And to top off the experience, I got severe food poisoning from the oysters. In short: a beautiful place to look at, but the food turns the experience into a gastronomic nightmare. Impeccable aesthetics, forgettable cuisine.

18/03/2026: Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in Bari. The service is attentive and fast, the venue is very well-maintained, and the quality of the food is beyond question. If you're in Bari, I recommend a visit to La Battigia; you won't regret it.

08/04/2026: I have no problem classifying this place as a SCAM. We ordered two takeout portions of salmon and two of white zucchini, a Coke, and a small water, paying a total of €46.50. The salmon was completely dry and tasteless except for a bit of orange zest on top. Furthermore, on top of the exorbitant price, as if we were in Capri, the portions were truly EMBARRASSING. To use the bathroom, you have to ask for a receipt, but they don't tell you (not even after you've purchased) unless, by divine intervention, a customer tells you. (In fact, customers have started holding the door for themselves 😂). For the same amount of money, I could have had lunch at a SERIOUS place, eating at least a large first course. I will never return here and will not recommend it to anyone. I don't understand exactly how people can frequent a place like this, probably driven by the lack of alternatives in San Vito. I'm giving one star because it's the minimum; otherwise, I'd give it a full 0.

13/04/2026: I was there on Sunday, April 12th. The setting is lovely, and the sea view creates a great atmosphere. We ordered seafood, some of which weren't particularly fresh; perhaps smelling them before serving would be a good idea. The monkfish packages were excellent, but the seafood risotto was terrible. There were some obvious mistakes: the rice wasn't suitable for risotto, which didn't bind with the ingredients, and there was water on the bottom of the plate. For our second course, we ordered fried shrimp, calamari, and mixed seafood. The mixed seafood was the same as the calamari, with the addition of four small fish. If the menu says mixed seafood, I expect a fish-only fried seafood. The bill was reasonable for the location and the food. There's definitely room for improvement.

21/03/2026: A lovely, welcoming place in the center of Bitonto, behind the beautiful Romanesque cathedral. It's a restaurant and pizzeria, and the staff is friendly and helpful. They're very attentive to their guests' requests. We were there for a group dinner with a pre-arranged menu; they took into account any allergies and special needs. The owner of the restaurant personally made sure everything was running smoothly and explained the dishes we'd be trying. He also gave us a lesson in extra virgin olive oil tasting. On the table were four different varieties of Moncultivar olive oil (Leccino, Coratina, Peranzana, and Piccholine) from Apulian producers. We paired the various oils with bread, an appetizer, a first course, and a second course. The bread was homemade. They also brought a focaccia. The appetizer included a meat tartar, a lactose-free tart, and a beef carpaccio. Then came a risotto with artichokes, crusco peppers, and caciocavallo cheese. Then came a suckling pig topped with a delicious cream. And for dessert, a warm chocolate cake with almond crème brulee. They chose the wine, but it was good. The place filled up quickly. The name of the place is inspired by the "patriarca," a name given to the centuries-old olive trees found in Puglia.

14/12/2025: The food quality is very high, the service impeccable. I think it's a bit crowded due to the number of seats. I think the bathrooms need to be redesigned for disabled access (or maybe there are some and we just didn't see them). But all in all, considering the location, the value for money is excellent. The food is good, and the location is very convenient for a post-lunch or dinner stroll. I'd gladly return.

03/12/2025: Excellent food, excellent service, and truly friendly staff. The charming, clean, and tidy space allows for easy conversation. The staff's uniforms are attractive; the price is fair. We ordered a platter, followed by paccheri with swordfish and a veal tagliata, which arrived promptly. We'll definitely be back.

13/03/2026: The interior is cute, quite rustic, reminding me a bit of a tourist attraction inside an amusement park. The food is exceptional; I recommend the spaghetti all'assassina. I must say I noticed the high quality of the dishes, especially at the fairly reasonable prices. The service is a major flaw: they forgot our appetizers, misunderstood our order, didn't bring our drinks, and it took them five minutes to issue a bill. However, the overall quality is good; I'd gladly return.

06/04/2026: We booked for Easter Monday without knowing it personally, we just knew the food was good and I must say honestly that there were six of us and everyone was satisfied!!! Good, quality food, plentiful and to finish the meal a delicious shortcrust pastry tart with cream and strawberries 😋😋... a very positive experience, we will definitely be back 👍👍

24/12/2025: I'm shocked, disappointed, and very, very bitter... two proseccos (no particular brand), a plate of raw fish (an oyster, a shrimp, and two scampi), plus two other small plates of various things (cold, by the way, including some fried food)... Basically, everything to share, nothing calculated for two! Total €70... basically two aperitifs for €35 per person, the cost of a dinner in a pinch... I understand it's Christmas Eve, but increasing the price like this is truly illegal... half an hour to be so bled... I don't think I'll be back, not even for a coffee, because I felt truly cheated, never mind Christmas wishes... What a disappointment...

16/11/2025: I go to this bar exclusively for the products which are of good quality especially the really good croissants, but unfortunately I have to give one star because it is not the first time it happens, I am referring to the waitress Alina who served me the croissants and then made me pay, a piece of advice, education and empathy are the basis of this job, I enter saying hello and I barely get a response, a desire to work equal to 0, and after having paid even worse, if you do not want to be in contact with people, you are asked to change jobs, because the image of the place depends on it, which I repeat is TRULY EXCELLENT
