Finally, a pizza that holds its shape: the slice stays straight and crispy, without the toppings falling everywhere, as unfortunately often happens elsewhere. 20/01/2026: Almost four months after our visit to Li Jalantuumene, I still feel the urge to write this review, because experiences like this deserve to be shared. The atmosphere of this little restaurant was simply incredible: a wonderful place in an intimate square, perfect for a special evening with my wife. The food? Nothing short of fantastic. We savored the flavors of the region, while Gegè passionately explained each dish and the details of their preparation. I still remember the pork cheek, the pork belly, the perfect orecchiette, and the appetizer with cold fava bean puree—truly unforgettable. The wine selection was also carefully chosen: an extraordinary bottle of Masseria Maime perfectly accompanied our dinner. A special thanks goes to Gegè for his recommendations on places to visit the next day: thanks to him, we discovered places we would never have found otherwise. This is the classic example of a place and people who make trips memorable. Despite the delay in the review, the memory of this experience remains vivid and special.

08/01/2026: September 2025. We're seated in the garden, but unfortunately, pigeon droppings are falling from the "sky" directly onto the table and glasses. When asked to intervene, the solution offered is a napkin strategically placed on the stains, as if the problem were merely aesthetic. Perhaps we underestimate the hygienic implications of pigeon poop? A surreal and decidedly unreassuring experience.

23/02/2026: Definitely the best restaurant I stumbled upon during my three-week road trip through Puglia. The service was discreet and efficient, the advice on choosing a local wine was perfect, and the traditional cuisine was delicious. A flawless experience at Taverna dei Domicani.

18/02/2026: Every year I go to Ceglie for about 10 days. For me, Taverna di Domenicani is the best place to enjoy authentic, quality Apulian cuisine. The ingredients are of the highest quality and always fresh. The catch is the catch of the day. The owner is a wonderful person and truly professional. The service is precise, attentive, and meticulous. The location is central, beneath Piazza del Plebiscito, the heart of Ceglie. It's easily accessible on foot. The restaurant is elegant and suitable for a romantic dinner or a dinner with friends. The atmosphere is serene and peaceful. For us, it's our regular meeting place in Ceglie.

18/10/2025: La Gràmola translated as OASIS OF PEACE 🩵 We'd always heard about this wonderful place until one summer day we went to try it, partly because I was looking for a place for my son's special day. And YES, as soon as I walked in, I fell in love! I went for dinner and the atmosphere was so warm and peaceful. Even though the place was full, as soon as the food arrived, I felt at home... and without thinking twice, I decided to reserve it for that day. Of course, returning during the day changes the atmosphere and it's even more beautiful because this wonderful place is surrounded by greenery, and here I fell in love for the second time. For my son's baptism, everything went great, EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. The excellent traditional dishes, fresh products, and above all the homely atmosphere offered by the owner DONATO, FABIOLA, and her waiters FABIO and LAURA. My guests were delighted with what they ate, the place, and everyone's professionalism, and I... 04/02/2026: At the time we were there, there were no other guests. The host is very friendly and welcoming. The view was extremely nice and the food is amazing. We ordered octopus and steak. I would recommend this place to visit for sure.

31/01/2026: One of the best restaurants in Polignano. We went for lunch in a well-kept building with an elegant and refined interior dining room, with a view directly out onto the sea from the windows—a truly unique view, absolute silence. Agnolotti with grouper, mezzemaniche with clams and datterino tomatoes, spaghetti with sbirulina seaweed—each dish was better than the next. The fried calamari was exceptional, light and delicate, a truly superior pleasure after the excellent first courses. The wine list was comprehensive and of excellent quality and variety. The only flaw...but truly unique...at the end of a truly enjoyable seafood meal...mango sorbet...not lemon...absolutely worth a try. Thank goodness the coffee was worthy of a gourmet. The final bill was absolutely affordable considering the quality offered and the first-rate location. An experience definitely worth repeating.

27/08/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance during our vacation in Manfredonia and it was a pleasant discovery: great prices and good food. I absolutely recommend the meatballs. We also had the baked pasta and lasagna and were completely satisfied. When we return to Manfredonia, we'll definitely stop by again for takeout.

16/07/2025: Pranzo in trabucco prenotato all'ultimo momento, accoglienza ottima! Antipasto di gamberi alla paprika ottimo, frittura di pesce leggera e di qualità , quantità nella norma. Unico neo la carta dei vini con i prezzi un po troppo elevati però consono alla difficoltà di approvvigionamento. Personale gentile e disponibile. Sicuramente consigliato!

13/07/2025: Va da sé che decidere di cenare su un trabucco alza l’asticella, si è scelto evidentemente di vivere una determinata “esperienza ”. Se poi questo avviene in una serata di mare piatto e cielo limpido, quel cielo e quel mare che fanno seguito a qualche giorno di maestrale, con un tavolo letteralmente a 2 metri, accarezzati da una leggerissima brezza ed in compagnia di gabbiani adagiati sulle tavole, con al fianco Peschici by night a strapiombo sul mare come scenario, resta solo da augurarsi una cena all’altezza della magia del contesto. Qui si va anche oltre. Provare per credere. Una brigata di giovani professioniste e professionisti hanno dato vita ad un autentico concerto mostrando efficienza e coordinamento nel servizio degno di una ristorazione stellata, seppure in un contesto logisticamente “difficile”. Il maître e lo Chef, con in carico le comande di tutti i tavoli, hanno atteso che le luci della notte si impadronissero dello scenario, lasciando ai commensali il tempo per immergersi in una atmosfera surreale, per poi dare il ciak, dar vita al servizio di una carta ampia e clamorosamente elaborata, certamente oltre le aspettative. Da Applausi ! Concedendoci un Ancestrale, metodo classico, abbiamo degustato portate di una grande cucina, per le materie prime certamente, ma limitarsi ad apprezzare le freschezze del mare sarebbe stato riduttivo, piuttosto, vivaddio, anche per elaborazione ed accostamenti arditi che i più non si aspetterebbero su un trabucco. Segnaliamo tra le eccellenze al nostro tavolo: tartare di tonno con formaggio fresco e zest di arancia, la seppia grigliata con pesto di mandorle e scaglie di tartufo. Il carpaccio di mela e cipolla rossa con olio alla menta, semplicemente da effetto woww. La sezione dessert non poteva non essere all’altezza…. boccondivino al cioccolato affogato al caffè… Appunto …Divino ! Gelato ai gelsi rossi con ostia ripiena. Strepitoso ! Molto interessante, e completa, anche la carta di accompagnamento ai dessert. In definitiva un’esperienza da annoverare tra le assolute eccellenze. Assolutamente!
