08/06/2026: One of Lecce's little gems. Went there on our hosts recommendation and what a result! Good rustic fayre at a reasonable price. It's very busy and popular with locals and tourists alike. Both pasta dishes we had were house prepared and delightfully unique. A good and reasonably priced wine list and friendly professional staff. We were very happy and "molto pieno" after our meal. We will be back 😊

07/06/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant, which is recommended in the 2026 edition of the Routard guide. The fritura completa was excellent, as was the house red wine. A must-try!

27/03/2026: Osteria del grano arso is an incredible choice in Foggia. The orecchiette pugliese di grano arso, the papardelle aI funghi freschi and the pasta fresca alle verdure o legumi keep the best flavour of the most authentic Italian cuisine. Besides, their tiramisú is the best we have ever tasted. Its smoothness fascinated us. In the background the owner playing the Spanish guitar delighted us. This osteria is a must in Foggia!!

15/03/2026: Everything was perfect, good food and exceptional attention!

30/06/2026: Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner as if we were part of the family. We were told that the menu wasn't à la carte and consisted of five starters made with seasonal vegetables grown in their organic garden, which we actually saw just outside the city. All the starters were divine, beautifully prepared, and perfectly seasoned. Then, there was a choice of five or six main courses. We ordered four different dishes and shared them to try several things. Every dish was excellent. I highly recommend it.

28/06/2026: A place truly worthy of five stars. The quality is evident, starting with the garden, which provides incredibly fresh and flavorful vegetables. Each dish showcases the ingredients with simplicity and care. The staff is another great asset: friendly, welcoming, and always available, capable of making you feel at home without being intrusive. The location is simply spectacular: well-maintained, surrounded by greenery, and perfect for enjoying a relaxing lunch or dinner. An experience absolutely worth experiencing. We'll definitely be back.

10/07/2026: Excellent food and very fresh fish, but the staff was a bit too pushy. The restaurant has a stunning view, but the interior decor is a bit stuck in the '90s. Overall, a good experience, but I'm not sure I'd go back.

16/06/2026: Three stars because 2 for the potatoes and 1 for the meat. Everything was good, but I'm very disappointed that I came four years ago and they made meatballs, fried cooked ham, and much more. When I came yesterday, none of this was available, even with the excuse that they no longer fried.

14/03/2026: A restaurant in the historic center with a wonderful view of the ravine. Typical Murgia cuisine with products and flavors from times gone by. Locally sourced ingredients. Very friendly staff.

16/07/2026: Enjoyed delicious food on the rooftops of Galatina, in the heart of the city center. The tender and succulent horse fillet was noteworthy. The service was prompt and the waiters very professional. The price was commensurate with the quality of the food.

04/07/2026: June 28, 2026; well, it's not what it used to be. The antipasti misti were okay, but the meat, a costata (in the EU, that's a ribeye), ordered medium-rare, wasn't quite right and was really tough, as if the meat hadn't rested long enough. The potatoes were oversalted. I pointed this out when paying, and the owner simply said: "They're salty, so drink more water." The pork tenderloin was dry, so it had been in the oven too long, even though it was wrapped in bacon. A shame, especially in such a well-located place. Kind regards from two former chefs, not from Italy, of course, but with very good knowledge of ingredients, materials, and cooking methods. Mihlen, that was then.

03/05/2026: I'll be a dissenting voice. I'm only sorry for the waiters, who were so kind. A table was booked for two. We arrived on time. The place had been recommended to me by a friend, a regular customer. I trusted her. At the entrance, we were greeted warmly by the kind and attentive staff. Other customers came in after us. Meanwhile, we were served zucchini flowers with mozzarella and anchovies: delicious but full of frying oil. We waited for the first course (baked in a macaroni oven, rather dry), but in the meantime we noticed that the one we'd ordered had been served to those who arrived later. We didn't say anything. We waited some more, but we started joking among ourselves, thinking they'd gone to harvest wheat to make the flour for orecchiette. It was crowded, it was our first time eating here, so we decided to wait. At a certain point, the owner came over to apologize for the delay in service (and this made me think there had actually been an exchange of orders with the table of those who arrived later). My companion smiles and raises his hands (as if to say, "Are we going to make it?"). It was meant to be a gesture of amusement at the mix-up, but the owner was clearly a little nervous, because, in a loud voice, audible to everyone, he began cursing at him, as if he'd made an aggressive complaint, which wasn't the case at all. At which point I suggested he tone it down—after all, nothing had been said and my companion's facial expressions hadn't been offensive at all. I told the owner there was no need for drama, since his monologue had attracted the attention of everyone at the table, who were staring at us. Then he began to apologize repeatedly in a low voice, and I told him that maybe it was time to call it a day. I was feeling less hungry, but we decided to stay. We also ate a roast, then got up to leave. I go to pay and am presented with the bill, which is quite high, but I knew from the start it wouldn't be cheap, so I expected it. We weren't asked if we'd like anything else, we weren't offered coffee or a liqueur (as often happens in other restaurants), but it wasn't due, and there was no rounding up for the unsolicited scolding. In fact, I correct myself, the scolding was complimentary on the house. I would have preferred not to. If needed, I can post photos of the receipt to prove the veracity of what I wrote. We will never return.

07/06/2026: Amateurs, if you book ten days in advance, you show up at the venue and they tell you there are no reservations. If we want, we can take the goods and eat outside. Because before we arrived, a bus had arrived, and they preferred to reserve the seats for them. Change jobs. 🤦🤦

18/10/2025: La Gràmola translated as OASIS OF PEACE 🩵 We'd always heard about this wonderful place until one summer day we went to try it, partly because I was looking for a place for my son's special day. And YES, as soon as I walked in, I fell in love! I went for dinner and the atmosphere was so warm and peaceful. Even though the place was full, as soon as the food arrived, I felt at home... and without thinking twice, I decided to reserve it for that day. Of course, returning during the day changes the atmosphere and it's even more beautiful because this wonderful place is surrounded by greenery, and here I fell in love for the second time. For my son's baptism, everything went great, EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. The excellent traditional dishes, fresh products, and above all the homely atmosphere offered by the owner DONATO, FABIOLA, and her waiters FABIO and LAURA. My guests were delighted with what they ate, the place, and everyone's professionalism, and I... 08/06/2026: I travel a lot for work and this is one of the best restaurants I've ever had lunch at. Truly a wonderful oasis of peace.

07/06/2026: The staff were very friendly, the food and Chef Francesco were top-notch, and the atmosphere was very traditional and welcoming. Tasting Chef Francesco's dishes was a unique experience. Highly recommended.
