The dishes are prepared with fresh ingredients every day, generous portions, and authentic flavor. Excellent quality at a more than fair price. 13/05/2026: Yesterday I dined here with a group of 10 people and we had a very pleasant experience. The service was excellent; everything was neatly laid out for us and the staff was very attentive.
Whenever we asked for extra bread or other additions, this was arranged immediately and without any hassle. The value for money was also very good: about €50 per person for a starter, main course, and dessert.
In short: excellent service, delicious food, and definitely recommended!

04/07/2026: The food is really good, but beware of the owner who brings you dishes you didn't order, claiming they were a taster for us to try, but then he still added them to our bill. He sold us a tasting menu we didn't ask for. Maybe I would have chosen à la carte, knowing I was eating and paying accordingly.
We spent way too much, and honestly, I wouldn't go back.
18/06/2026: I just finished dinner at this wonderful place. The staff was friendly, attentive to detail, and very helpful... the fish was excellent... I don't know how else to recommend it, but if you don't come, you'd be missing out on the best.
Mr. Sergio is truly a wonderful person.

17/05/2026: Very attractive location and beautiful view in front of the port, excellent service, excellent value for money, at first glance it might seem touristy but the dishes I tasted were truly cooked by an expert hand in cooking and flavors, this time wine by the glass, but the Bombino was good, a place I recommend

07/01/2026: Aside from the price (€80 per person), the negative thing that most influenced this review was the waiter's response to the request for a discount. He said, "The discount at the supermarket." There are many ways to respond, and in a crowded place, a loud response like that wouldn't even be given in a dive... the food was good, but for that price, I'd prefer something else.
P.S. After the review, I was contacted by the owner who made some strange allusions to our status. I hope he doesn't do that to everyone who goes and has a bad experience... I'm reposting the previously flagged and obscured review.

17/06/2026: Our friends were staying at that hotel, and we went to check it out and enjoy a distinguished and elegant dinner at the restaurant.
Highly recommended
09/06/2026: Beautiful hotel, very friendly service. Good breakfast, lovely view as the hotel is located at the top of the mountain, parking available, beach is about a 10-minute walk away. The beach is pebbly, but it's manageable.

If we could give more than 5 stars, we would.
24/01/2026: A Saturday night at Strix deserves a 5-star review.
We ordered onion rings (surprisingly, not frozen, like most of the time), delicious and beautifully fried.
Serrano ham balls. And, knowing this ham well, I can vouch for it.
Finally, a panuozzo with a delicious, crispy dough and perfectly balanced ingredients.
I can't wait to go back.

02/04/2026: I had two coffees, the price was €2.60, but when I said I was paying by card, the manager charged me €3 (14% more). He overcharged me by 40 cents, but he lost a few coffees, considering he won't see me again, and probably others to whom I'm telling this sad story will prefer a place where the price is fair.

Superior quality dishes, all very fresh, excellent raw fish, phenomenal first courses, and the famous Pasta all'Assassina, the best in Bari.
