July 2023. What an amazing little gem. Just 8 minutes walk from Via Garibaldi in Old Town. Just far enough off the tourist track to be a true local hangout. I was served some of the best food of all time during my stay in Monopoli. I onestly can't rate it highly enough. The staff were amazing, the food was tasty and menu prices were very fair and affordable. Looks nothing from the outside don't let that put you off visiting. It's March 2024 and I'm still thinking about the beautiful meal I had here and wishing this restaurant was in Dublin not Italy. Like a form of homesickness.

I came here at the first day of my trip to puglia and felt really nice - the food was delicious (also the desert!) and the people were really nice! I came a second time and liked it a lot!

Qui fanno una pizza squisita. È possibile scegliere fra vari impasti e, fra questi, ci ha colpito particolarmente quello con la spirulina. La pizza così fatta risulta leggera e digeribile. Il fondo ha un originale colore verdognolo. Come condimenti è possibile scegliere la pizza fra una notevole varietà di gusti. Tutte le pizze che abbiamo provato erano ottime e prodotte con ingredienti di qualità. Le cameriere sono piuttosto gentili ed efficienti. L'apparecchiatura è di carta, ma di buona consistenza, che simula la stoffa. La specialità è la base della pizza con la Spirulina, ma si deve pagare un supplemento di € 3 a pizza.

29/12/2023: English, Spanish and Italian: OK, the focaccia is totally memorable, as the name of this place says, but we were even more impressed by the sincere warmth we felt when we told the guy that we had just moved here permanently. We felt so genuinely welcomed! We spoke in our bad Italian and he told us he speaks Spanish and English like we do, so we mixed all three languages ​​and had a super fun conversation. Polignano a Mare has the kindest, warmest, friendliest happy people in the world! Can't wait to have more memorable focaccia and laugh with new friends! Well, the focaccia is totally memorable, as the name of this place says, but we were even more impressed by the sincere kindness that we feel when we say to the child that we are forced to change here permanently. We feel completely welcome! We talk in our basic Italian and we say that we speak Spanish and English like us, so that we mix the three idioms and we have a fun conversation!!! Polignano a Mare has the most lovable, kind and happy people in the world. I can't hope to have more memorable focaccia and be with new friends! 17/10/2023: Excellent bakery. Clean, friendly staff and wide assortment. The bread is fantastic; delicious croissants and husbandzzi; the taralli are definitely good (I love the ones with anise and sugar). They also prepare pucce and pinsa (they sell like hot cakes!). The peculiarity is that you can also find products WITHOUT DAIRY AND DERIVATIVES!!! Visit it if you are in the area...
