15/02/2026: Lunch at Pashà, a tastefully renovated farmhouse, an art gallery in the Apulian countryside. Not only is the lunch worth the trip, but also what you'll see inside: paintings, sculptures, and works of art that blend perfectly with the setting. The weather wasn't kind, but the interior makes you forget the rain, and this place is magical in the summer. The cuisine on the menu showcases the local cuisine with an eye for innovation, but I was lucky enough to try a customized menu that took me back to the legendary '80s in one dish. A very knowledgeable sommelier brought us a perfect Austrian white wine for lunch. Without going into too much detail about the dish, because you have to try it. Raw sea urchin with cauliflower Baby cuttlefish with beetroot Grilled artichoke with artichoke and eel cream Tonnarelli with salmon and vodka, including a shot for the brave Pre-dessert: Absolute Orange Dessert with homemade ice cream and chocolate jelly Everything was truly interesting and delicious. I'll explain why... you don't even get to the restaurant before the waiters rush you, asking you questions, even about a very simple salad plate they ask you how it is... dishes that arrive very quickly without considering the time it takes for the first courses, so you don't know what to eat first... Pizza is awful to say the least, soggy dough, indigestible...

07/01/2026: Aside from the price (€80 per person), the negative thing that most influenced this review was the waiter's response to the request for a discount. He said, "The discount at the supermarket." There are many ways to respond, and in a crowded place, a loud response like that wouldn't even be given in a dive... the food was good, but for that price, I'd prefer something else. P.S. After the review, I was contacted by the owner who made some strange allusions to our status. I hope he doesn't do that to everyone who goes and has a bad experience... I'm reposting the previously flagged and obscured review.

14/03/2026: I discovered this place while staying in Manduria during the Pessima fair. I ate excellent grilled meat. The owners are very quick and friendly... the atmosphere is clean... I RECOMMEND IT.

26/01/2026: I used to go there as a child, and after more than 40 years, I'm back! The fried calzone is always delicious, along with many other typical pizzeria dishes. Prices are modest, but you have to accept that the place doesn't offer much seating. But then again, that's the beauty of a fried pizza: eating it piping hot while standing with a good beer!

03/03/2026: The restaurant's location is stunning, perched on the ravine, affording stunning views of the city. Built on the ruins of a cave structure, it has a very large upper room often used for receptions, and a lower room in a veritable cave, making the setting almost magical. We enjoyed two tasting menus, featuring traditional peasant dishes reinterpreted with a modern twist and of the highest quality. The service was impeccable, and the staff was attentive and friendly. Recommended for a meeting or special event, it's definitely worth it.

20/01/2026: Almost four months after our visit to Li Jalantuumene, I still feel the urge to write this review, because experiences like this deserve to be shared. The atmosphere of this little restaurant was simply incredible: a wonderful place in an intimate square, perfect for a special evening with my wife. The food? Nothing short of fantastic. We savored the flavors of the region, while Gegè passionately explained each dish and the details of their preparation. I still remember the pork cheek, the pork belly, the perfect orecchiette, and the appetizer with cold fava bean puree—truly unforgettable. The wine selection was also carefully chosen: an extraordinary bottle of Masseria Maime perfectly accompanied our dinner. A special thanks goes to Gegè for his recommendations on places to visit the next day: thanks to him, we discovered places we would never have found otherwise. This is the classic example of a place and people who make trips memorable. Despite the delay in the review, the memory of this experience remains vivid and special.
