11/06/2026: During a visit to Lecce, we stopped at Caffè della Lupa almost by chance, and it turned out to be a delightful discovery. Unlike many crowded establishments in the area, here we found a genuine welcome and helpful, kind, and attentive staff. They didn't just serve us, they also helped us with valuable recommendations for seafood dinners, demonstrating great courtesy and customer service. The puccia was simply spectacular, prepared with quality ingredients and truly delicious. Furthermore, for the first time, I had the pleasure of tasting the famous Lecce coffee: a true discovery that I recommend to anyone passing through. Congratulations for the friendliness, the quality of the products, and the hospitality. A place I will fondly remember and where I would gladly return. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

10/06/2026: I stumbled upon this excellent place while walking down one of the streets in Lecce's historic center, just steps from the Church of Santa Irene, and I was immediately struck by the atmosphere. Sitting at the outdoor tables, I enjoyed an excellent Lecce coffee paired with a fragrant pasticciotto. The service has always been prompt and attentive, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

25/04/2026: The pizza dough is delicious (with the option of a grain-based dough), the toppings are good, and the staff is friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is quaint (stone vaults, wooden floors, wooden tables), and overall, it's a great experience.

19/04/2026: very pleasant, almost family pizzeria. Large selection of pizzas, often with unconventional flavors or combinations. For example, walnuts and honey, I have never seen on pizza. Large selection of wines and beers. A great choice to end the day in a beautiful city

10/05/2026: Porta di Basso was, quite simply, exceptional. The kind of restaurant that reminds you why certain dining experiences stay with you long after the evening ends. Set dramatically above the Adriatic, the atmosphere is breathtaking from the moment you arrive. As the light softened over the sea and the cliffs below, the entire evening felt almost cinematic — elegant, intimate and deeply connected to the landscape of Gargano. The cuisine was outstanding. Creative yet restrained, refined without losing soul. Every dish felt thoughtful, beautifully balanced and deeply rooted in the territory while still carrying the confidence of true fine dining. One of those rare tasting experiences where every course genuinely surprises and delights. What elevated the evening even further however was the extraordinary service. Warm, polished, passionate and incredibly attentive without ever becoming formal or stiff. The entire team made us feel genuinely welcomed and carefully looked after throughout the night. Porta di Basso is not simply a restaurant — it is a destination experience. A place where setting, cuisine and hospitality align perfectly. Without doubt one of the most memorable dining experiences we have had in Italy.

01/06/2026: The food wasn't bad, and the location, with its splendid sea view, certainly left a good impression. Unfortunately, however, the service completely ruined the experience. We waited about 45 minutes before we could order, despite no waiter or maître d' approaching our table. After ordering, we had to wait another 45 minutes for our dishes. The most unpleasant thing was that my friend's dish arrived first, while mine wasn't served until about 15 minutes later, effectively forcing us to eat separately. It's a shame, because the food quality is decent and the view is truly breathtaking. However, such long wait times and such careless service management are unacceptable. Overall, unfortunately, I can't give a positive review.

01/06/2026: Terrible value for money. In Rome, for this price, you can eat much, much better. The lovely terrace with a view and fairly efficient service remain.

30/04/2026: The welcome was warm, with delicious amuse-bouches and a glass of prosecco. The food was fantastic, served by the chef. This restaurant was recommended by our Airbnb host Giancarlo, and rightly so! Go eat here if you love delicious and authentic (Italian) food and hospitality in an intimate atmosphere. Added later: we dined there as a couple.

04/07/2026: When the beach in Polginano a mare proved worse than expected we found our selves at Porto Cavalli. After a short walk we stumbled upon this absolute Gem out of no where. The prices are the same as in the city but the quality of food isn’t even comparable. This place is an experience. The not just the vibe and the atmosphere, but after the first bite of the orange sea bream tartare it was clear that this restaurant was different. The flavor forced me to slow down and in a moment I realized I would spend hours here and not minutes. Every dish and every drink we tried was amazing. This restaurant changed my standard for dining abroad and renewed my love of food. I could not recommend it more, and I wish more establishments were like this one. Incredible. Fantastic. Magnifico.

23/03/2026: Dinner last Saturday with friends. I was a little worried because I had recommended this restaurant, but instead I was inundated with compliments for the excellent choice. We chose a Margherita pizza as an appetizer (light, very digestible, superb, so good that some of us wanted more pizza at the end), followed by two specials of the day (a risotto and my farro tagliatelle with purple shrimp, truffle, and lime... DELICIOUS), pezzetti al pomodoro, a tagliata, and two more tagliatelle. We had bought the Cupeta (since it was a holiday in Giurdignano), and the hostess let us enjoy it at the table, very kindly. Of course, my friends ordered grappa. Excellent value for money. Quick service, friendly and helpful dining room staff. In short, I highly recommend it. Mrs. Morelli from Maglie.

18/03/2026: We went to Osteria degli Amici in Giurdignano. The atmosphere is simple, welcoming, and authentic, just as you'd expect from a true local osteria. We tried the cavatelli with beans and mussels: a truly exceptional dish, rich in flavor, well-balanced, and above all, filling. You can taste the quality of the ingredients and the care taken in their preparation. The fava beans and chicory were also excellent, prepared to perfection, in full respect of tradition. We also had a pizza, which was very good, well-cooked, and tasty. The service was friendly and helpful, making us feel immediately at ease. Overall, a very positive experience: excellent food, generous portions, and a family atmosphere. Exceptional price. Definitely a place to return to and one I recommend to anyone who wants to eat well and savor local cuisine.

10/05/2026: A dinner of excellent raw fish as an appetizer and a seafood pacchero where the seafood was the star... The fried cod was also excellent and the gratin mussels are absolutely worth trying, mmmmmmh!!
