17/05/2026: When you come to Italy, you have to try a few things. Two of those are pizza and vino. We were looking for a good place when we got to town and this was it. The pizza is amazing, the service is incredible, and the atmosphere is what an outsider would think is one of those Italy feels. Liliana was our hostess both times (maybe a third before this trip is up) and she was by far the best! She recommended a very nice wine and always had a smile on her face. These work trips take me around the world and Italy is one of my faves by far. This restaurant captures the taste and feel of Italy for me.
12/05/2026: Had a very nice experience here in Turin. The owner was a very kind and welcoming person. We tried the pizza and pasta, and both were delicious and freshly made. We didn’t try the cozze or seafood dishes, but there were many varieties on the menu to choose from. Cozy atmosphere and great service ; We would definitely recommend :)

15/05/2026: Everything was delicious, excellent. They made us feel at home, and Nicolò's service made all the difference. Delicious, typical Piedmontese dishes, excellent value for money, right in the center of Asti. We'll definitely be back. Oh, the tagliolini with butter and truffle ice cream are amazing, try them! (Unfortunately, I don't have a photo 😂)

20/05/2026: The food was exquisite! They were special dishes, the kind you don't find in other restaurants. Particularly noteworthy: Tarte tatin ai funghi fonduta di Gorgonzola; Chicche con scalie di Roch; and Spaghetti con crema di piselli (green spaghetti). Excellent!
15/05/2026: The restaurant is very good with nice decor, but the service is extremely slow (over 20 minutes between each course (and coffee)) and not very pleasant (the waitress actually rolled her eyes when we dared to ask for coffee).
As for the main courses, they are very small; if you order the set menu, they are acceptable, otherwise they are absolutely not worth 20 euros.
The pasta with ragù, however, is excellent—the only positive point. Despite the very good food, we do not recommend it given the long wait and the poor quality of service.

03/05/2026: We started with a truly exceptional mixed antipasto: delicate flan, Fassona beef tartare with top-quality truffles, and perfectly prepared veal with tuna sauce.
The first courses confirmed the exceptionally high quality of the cuisine: creamy and flavorful Barolo risotto with Piedmontese toma cheese, fragrant porcini mushroom risotto, and simply delicious agnolotti del plin with the aroma of the Langhe.
The extensive and carefully selected wine list is perfect for accompanying every course.
Special praise goes to the staff and the owner, always attentive, courteous, and ready to offer the best possible advice. Generous portions and truly excellent value.
We'll definitely be back!

02/06/2026: We were passing through Stresa and had the pleasure of spending a wonderful evening at this restaurant. The staff were helpful and the food was quality.
I recommend it.
31/05/2026: We tried this restaurant by chance the first time, but we loved it so much we returned a second time.
The staff were very friendly, the atmosphere was charming, and the menu was varied.
We tried both the pizza for dinner and the pasta dishes the next day for lunch, and everything was delicious.
Highly recommended.

A very inexperienced server took our order.
The wine was forgotten, and the bagna cauda on the pepperoni were scoops the size and consistency of ice cream.
The foreign object (hard plastic or stone) found in the asparagus was ignored after our complaint, simply swept under the rug... Very cold payment and an unfriendly farewell. Never again Osteria Umberto!
03/05/2026: A beautiful restaurant in the city center, serving traditional dishes with a touch of sophistication. I had the butter and lavender plin, which were very fresh. The lavender flavor paired well without being too overpowering. The veal with tuna sauce was also delicious.
The restaurant is well-maintained, and the waitresses are very kind and attentive.

The Appertivo and particularly the dinner was excellent, well cooked and more creative in composition of the dishes other than the culinaric mainstream of this region, that we met often and which becomes boaring after a few days...

We opted for the tasting menu for €35 (drinks not included). The Piedmontese appetizer was excellent, and the gnocchi alla toma were delicious.
The stuffed peaches for dessert were fantastic.
Recommended for those visiting the nearby village.

04/05/2026: A lovely place in the center of Stresa. The food is good; I recommend the juniper-sauced venison with polenta. The first courses are also good and well-cooked. The ravioli del plin are excellent. The staff is very attentive and friendly. There is seating both inside and outside in the square.
02/05/2026: The sheer number of Michelin stars on my little trip through Lombardy and Piedmont is starting to feel a bit overwhelming. This trattoria, just outside the hustle and bustle of Ispra, completely won us over. We were lucky enough to snag a table for our group of four without a reservation, and the appetizers and main courses were excellent. The dessert was delicious too. I'd say this is Piedmont at its best! A definite recommendation from me.
