31/08/2025: We were in the area for work and chose this property. Arriving in the evening, we only realized in the morning what awaits those who stay here. Peace, tranquility, a fabulous view, service from extremely kind staff, always available to answer any questions, cleanliness, and comfort. Add to that a beautiful terrace where you can have breakfast (which was plentiful and high-quality), and a pool where you can relax in a fantastic setting. We also enjoyed the restaurant connected to the property, owned by the same owner. Here, we found fabulous food and excellent wines (also recommended by Alessandro, one of the "longtime" waiters, albeit young). Thanks to the truly kind staff who served us. We also had the opportunity to chat with the owner and several of the other guests at the end of the evening, and there's a family atmosphere. If we ever return to the area, we're already sure of what we'll choose. Excellent value for money.

29/08/2025: Highly recommended For those with gluten intolerances, they make a delicious pizza! The classic pizza is also amazing, with all the toppings... excellent. Because it's so good and in high demand, the reservation and wait times are long, but it's worth it!

13/07/2025: We went for a lunch in this nice place in Acqui Terme. Impeccable service, very friendly. Superb food and the wine that was suggested went very well with all the courses. Wonderful experience and when we will be back in the Piemonte, we will most certainly visit this place again.

12/07/2025: We had the pleasure of dining at Il Moncalvo Restaurant, located in the charming loggia of a historic 16th-century building in Acqui Terme. The location is simply enchanting: an elegant and timeless atmosphere that offers an immersive experience, perfectly balanced between history and refinement. We ordered two appetizers and two fish main courses: each dish was a pleasant discovery. The presentation was meticulous, almost artistic, and the flavor combinations were original and unexpected, a sign of careful, creative cuisine that respects the ingredients. The service made the evening even more enjoyable: the manager was friendly and helpful. Special praise also goes to the waitress, who was charming, affable, and attentive, always attentive but never intrusive. In short, Il Moncalvo proved to be a delightful discovery: a restaurant that combines quality cuisine, welcoming service, and a unique architectural setting. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a high-end dining experience in Acqui Terme. It feels like we're overlooking the fact that our big dog Byron was also chocolate and very welcome. --

30/08/2025: It's fallen significantly since the last time I had lunch (about 2 years ago), both in terms of food quality and service, which isn't commensurate with the price. Too bad.

13/08/2025: A restaurant worth visiting. The seafood salad appetizer was very fresh and tasty, the ravioli was delicious, and the lamb chops were also tasty. Although we didn't order the fried seafood, other tables did and it looked very good.

05/08/2025: A charming and romantic location, the staff are kind, professional, and above all welcoming. The dishes are delicious and generous. I love the tagliolini with pistachio cream and shrimp...the prices are fair. The Borgo is an excellent side dish.

10/08/2025: I went there for lunch with a friend after a nice bike ride. The people were very friendly, the food was good, the wait time was excellent, and the price was average! I would go back 😄😁😀

06/09/2025: We were after an early dinner, and couldn't wait until later. This wonderful place with good reviews was open on a Saturday afternoon. Staff were great, and we had a very good Vitello Tonnato, and some EXTREMELY good pastas, with a perfect caponata. The wine list is well curated, with many good value wines and some gems. 100% would return, and recommended. Could not fault it at all.

05/09/2025: The cuisine is excellent, the dishes well-prepared and of high quality, but the service leaves much to be desired. The wait staff is too young and inexperienced: the waiters seemed confused and disorganized, with dishes being brought incorrectly and difficulties with even the simplest requests. One significant error concerns the menu: the "buffalo ricotta" is not fresh, as one would expect, but dehydrated. This should be clearly stated for the sake of transparency with customers. Furthermore, there is no short pasta option for children, a surprising detail in an Italian restaurant. Finally, I asked for chili pepper and was instead served 'nduja, a completely different and much heavier ingredient. The cuisine deserves a better setting: the management should seriously invest in staff training, because such immature service risks ruining even excellent dishes. Not recommended

14/08/2025: Everything was impeccable. I chose the seafood menu, and beyond the food, which was delicious, I must emphasize the friendliness of the waitresses, who provided above-average service. I'll be back.

26/07/2025: Lunch with a group after visiting Manta Castle. Roast beef with tuna and capers, ravioli with Fondobruna cheese, roast beef with vegetables and peperonata, and hazelnut bounette: all thoroughly enjoyed. Punctual and friendly service. We'll be back if we have the chance.
