25/07/2025: This was my first experience at a Michelin-starred restaurant. I'd been obsessed for a while with trying something different and satisfying my curiosity about this type of cuisine. I can say we were very satisfied with both the quality, flavors, and the quantity. Since it was our first time, we chose the menu with 6 half portions (plus entree and small pastries) that you see in the photo. And let's just say they're not very HALF portions, because you still eat well!
I think the price is absolutely right for the service and quality.
We also had a tasting of 4 wines (a bit demanding for someone like me who drinks a glass with dinner) with the entire meal, and I think it's essential to fully savor the whole meal!
We'd love to return, but I'd eat à la carte to try some special dishes not on this menu! Definitely worth a try!

11/01/2026: On New Year's Eve 2025, six of us dined at Ristorante Il Pescatore. The menu was very limited, and the prices were extremely high that evening—apparently due to a musician performing.
We had to wait around three hours for our food, which was completely unacceptable. The quality and portion sizes of the dishes were disproportionate to the prices:
€20 for spaghetti vongole with a mere five clams, or €30 for a beef fillet with very few fries, was outrageous.
Overall, the evening was a huge disappointment. For these prices, we expect significantly better quality, service, and organization.
We will not be returning to Ristorante Il Pescatore for the foreseeable future—the whole experience felt like a complete rip-off.

14/02/2026: I discovered this place years ago. Over time, it's become a home away from home. Giulio is special, his partner is incredibly kind. The food is superb, and the wine is excellent. If you're not sure what to drink, just trust Giulio and you won't be disappointed. Excellent, brilliant, knowledgeable, and friendly. He alone is worth a visit.
25/11/2025: Saturday lunch with simple but delicious dishes, the food almost felt like home. The owner provided courteous and friendly service.
The highlight of the place is definitely the wines, even though we haven't tried them. Many labels from all over Italy, with prices for all budgets.
For lunch, the prices are very fair: for two, a first course, a second course, a craft beer, and a water for €25. Coffee and a digestif are included!
I highly recommend this place if you're passing through Cantù!

05/09/2025: A wonderful time at this magnificent restaurant. The staff are incredibly kind. The food is delicious, and the scenery is breathtaking.
It's worth noting that the prices are quite reasonable and reflect the quality of the food and the service.

Unfortunately, I can't give it 5 stars just because of the staff, who are often rude, annoyed, and a bit arrogant.
22/03/2026: Saturday evening, 6 pm, group of 7. We entered the place to ask if a table was available, and the girl at the counter asked us, "WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO?" (in a very rude and aggressive manner). We replied that we wanted an aperitif, and she responded, again in an aggressive and annoyed manner, "WE DON'T DO APERITIFS AT THIS TIME."
We were shocked, not by the fact that they don't do aperitifs at that time (which is strange for a Saturday night in Milan), but above all by the way she told us, and also because she didn't offer any alternatives. I wonder, looking at the reviews on Trip Advisor (3.1 rating), how a place like this can continue if this is how they treat their customers (coffee refused at 1 pm, reviews from a customer on Trip Advisor).

08/03/2026: The table service needs to be reconsidered. My wife and I were in Lovere from Milan to visit the historic center, so we decided to grab a bite to eat at this restaurant, ordering two pasta dishes. It turned out to be a poor choice, not because of the food or the ambiance, but because of the service. It's not acceptable to wait more than twenty minutes at a table for a waiter to come and take your order. At the very least, you can bring some bread and water while you wait. Above all, it's not acceptable to serve my wife the first course and then bring me the second course only after she's finished. A little more attention to the customer wouldn't hurt.
08/03/2026: The food wasn't bad, but we had a very long wait for the appetizer—we waited 30 minutes.
We sat for over 20 minutes to order.
The dishes weren't hot, but lukewarm.
The neighbor's wife ate while he waited 15 minutes longer for his dish.
The staff were friendly, but not super friendly.
One of the waitresses seemed bored with her job and almost didn't want to work.
It's an experience I wouldn't repeat.
