26/09/2025: We had reserved a table for four outside, but the lady who welcomed us arrogantly and rudely told me, "No, inside only," simply because another, larger group had reserved the outside tables after us. This was actually a minor issue, because once inside, we were treated like dirt, most likely because we were foreigners. The food was generally awful: appetizers full of oil, first courses that were very hard to digest, and desserts that were bland (perhaps the only thing that stood out was the tiramisu). The final surprise: €40 per person, without wine, just water and coffee. Note that the bill was calculated by hand after a wait of about 10 minutes. I highly recommend it, especially given the rudeness of the staff!!!

21/10/2025: Excellent dinner, original and beautifully presented dishes, quality ingredients. I had a zucchini tart in fondue sauce and then a superb seafood crudités platter. My husband had a meat-only dinner, first a carpaccio with burrata and then a huge, tasty tartare. Service was friendly but a bit slow, but we weren't bothered by it because we weren't in a rush. The price was very fair, and we'll be back soon, especially since the menu is truly extensive and tempting.

20/09/2025: Excellent first and second courses, fabulous and well-topped pizza. The atmosphere is clean and discreet, ideal for a relaxing moment.

10/09/2025: Let's start with what I liked least: the old west-style decor. That said, they have a nice, varied menu, with some treats like snails, beautifully plated and, above all, well-cooked, like tartare. The pizzas we saw passing by looked nice and fluffy. The desserts were delicious. The person serving us was truly professional and cheerful. There were four of us, two adults and two children. The prices seemed in line with other restaurants, and the portions were adequate, not too big.

19/10/2025: I went to brunch here today and I have to say, everything was simply fantastic. The service was friendly and helpful, and the staff made us feel right at home. We ate quickly and well, without having to wait too long for our food. We tried a couple of dishes, and they were delicious. Croque monsieur: a classic done well, with melted cheese and perfectly cooked ham. Scrambled eggs with guacamole: a fresh and flavorful dish, with fluffy eggs and creamy guacamole. Baked rigatoni: a comfort food dish that made us feel right at home, with the al dente pasta and flavorful sauce. I recommend everyone try brunch here; it's worth it!

19/10/2025: A very nice restaurant, we had a wonderful meal and the service was fantastic. We would definitely go back. Order the tiramisu; it's delicious. The two waiters who served us were very kind and friendly, recommending dishes and always with a smile.

25/02/2025: One of the best hotels ever! There are so many things to say, but one stands out: the owner, Mr. Fioroni. A man who will make your stay unforgettable. An artist, musician, writer, an invaluable figure, a historic figure in this delightful village, and, in short, a friend to every guest. A unique, incomparable experience that will allow you to discover true Italian culture, made of stories, music, and good food. The historic venue is beautifully enhanced by the small piazza and the sweeping view of the lake. Just a few meters away, every service and fair prices.

19/02/2025: Does anyone know if this hotel is closed permanently or just during the winter months? Does this hotel mean it is definitive or only long-term in winter?

29/09/2025: Excellent experience at this restaurant/pizzeria in Sirmione. Located in a small harbor about a half-hour walk from the historic center. Beautiful lake view. The pizza was excellent, in my opinion. Very friendly staff. We even chatted with the longtime owner. It was all very pleasant. I recommend this restaurant.

18/08/2025: As often happens, the closer you live to a restaurant, the less likely you are to go! Last night my husband and I decided to eat at this restaurant, which I've known all my life! Let me start by saying that we had attended the Wagyu evening and had a wonderful time. Seeing this type of meat on the menu made us want to try it again. The idea was to have a mixed grill, but to our disappointment, it wasn't on the paper menu; however, it was on the online menu. We "settled" on other dishes, both with this meat and other types...what can I say, everything was divine!! We ate truly well! The service was young and attentive, not intrusive but firm. We were in the area by the windows, so it was more intimate and quiet! We'll definitely see you again. A small tip: remove the word "mixed grill" from the online menu. We hope to see you again for another Wagyu evening; it was top-notch!!

02/10/2025: The waiter who served me on the terrace was excellent. Until I went to pay, the cashier spoke to me in English, even though I spoke Italian. My Italian is perfectly understandable. There's no need to make a customer feel like a foreigner.

25/09/2025: I went here with a friend for an aperitivo. The food was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. A special mention goes to Stefano, who served us with a smile and a lot of warmth. The atmosphere was very welcoming, and the neon signs were very cute. We'll definitely be back!

16/09/2025: A historic osteria on the Naviglio, with a very characteristic atmosphere, especially the outdoor area along the canal. Delicious dishes, especially the mixed grill served over charcoal.

08/09/2025: A typically traditional restaurant with much larger spaces than it might seem. The interior is large, spacious, welcoming, and bright, but the real gem is the outdoor veranda on the canal bank. Shade is provided by a pergola with lush vegetation, and the setting is decidedly quaint. The service is attentive and courteous. The food is good, though not excellent, but still makes for a pleasant experience. The bill is a bit more expensive than you'd expect, but in line with the times. As for the waiter, I'd say: quaint.

25/09/2025: A Milanese institution since 1969, it's impossible to miss if you're walking down the street, thanks to the captivating aroma wafting from the pizzas and focaccias in the windows. Try it and believe it; the taste won't disappoint either. They also offer ready-made dishes with meat, pasta, and vegetables.

02/10/2025: Disappointing from the start. No one to greet us. I had to leave my car on the street and go through the visitor line, since the hotel reception is through the same entrance. A gentleman helped me with my bags and parked the car in a nearby public parking lot. Right from the start, we were told we wouldn't have access to the hotel grounds due to a wedding (which happens almost always). The key came with a heavy keychain. The room (210) was very small, facing the wedding venue. The music only stopped at 11 p.m. In fact, you could even hear the couple in the room next door. The bright room lacked proper curtains. The walls were all stained. The bathroom was small and the shower was weak. The staff was very attentive and welcoming. Breakfast was poor. There's nothing else to say. All this for a photo opportunity, at the most expensive gate in Italy.

01/10/2025: We visited Hotel Villa Cipressi to explore the gardens, and it was absolutely worth the €10 entry fee. The views of Lake Como were stunning – peaceful, romantic, and perfect for photos. The gardens are well kept and offer a lovely walk through nature with gorgeous backdrops. We queued at the famous gate for a photo, but the line was quite hectic and we ended up waiting over an hour. Some people took their time, which is understandable, but it did slow things down a lot. It would be great if the hotel added a staff member to help manage the queue, maybe allowing around 2 minutes per person. That small change could make the experience smoother for everyone. After finally getting our photo, we enjoyed a drink by the bar. We didn’t check the price in advance, and a glass of Aperol Spritz came to €18 – definitely on the pricey side, but with that view, it's somewhat understandable. All in all, it was a lovely experience and we’ll definitely be back. Just a few improvements could make it perfect!
