The wait for a risotto was unacceptable 😤, an hour is too long! I hope it was an isolated incident. The atmosphere is very beautiful and quaint ✨, truly welcoming. The food was tasty 😋, but the service ruined the experience 👎.

Rustic tavern in the center of Pavia, daily menu offering a choice of 3 starters, 3 first courses, and 3 second courses (seeing social media I was expecting a set menu, but it wasn't available today), good dishes, but without the wow factor, decent service, slightly expensive prices in my opinion (1 shared starter, 2 first courses, 2 coffees, 1 water, €60).

Osteria I in the heart of Pavia. Nothing special, nothing bad. The ravioli were good but cold. The rice with ossobuco was good, but not very flavorful. We spent €67 for ravioli, rice with ossobuco, two glasses of wine, water, and a dessert.

One of my favorites to go in Pavia, their apericena is the best I ever had, with 15€ you get a drink and an enormous quantity of amazing food. Also a great choice for a dinner.

The food is probably better on weekends. During the week, at lunchtime, with a set menu, the food was honestly nothing special; I was hoping to eat typical local dishes. The location, however, is very unique... it feels like a bazaar.

11/04/2026: We had lunch on a Saturday, and even though we hadn't booked, they welcomed us quickly and kept the wait short. The dishes were plentiful and truly delicious: paccheri with ragù (amazing), risotto Milanese, and a homemade dessert that was absolutely mouth-watering. A beer and a water, two coffees, for just over €12 each—what more could you ask for? We'll definitely be back when the terrace is open to enjoy the stunning view.
16/01/2026: We had the delicious pranzo di laboro during the week. It's always a treat. The meat and pasta are wonderful. The service from the two ladies is impeccable. The view from the terrace is magnificent.
