Il Cupolone In Pavia

I had lunch with my husband and daughter during a day of leisure in Pavia. I found this osteria online based on reviews that mentioned it as a good place, and I must confirm that it truly is. The interior is stunning, spread across two floors, and we'll definitely be back. We had lunch outside with the €10 menu, which includes a choice of first course, second course with side dish, water, and coffee. Everything was delicious. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Really great food, but terrible service! The food is indeed very good. They also have local specialties on the menu. The prices are reasonable. We didn't receive the large portions mentioned in other reviews. The service was extremely poor. The server kept walking past our table empty-handed. To order, we eventually had to literally wave them over. After we ordered, bread arrived after a while, in a broken bowl that no one needed. The drinks didn't arrive for a good 10 minutes. After the meal, we sat for a full half hour in front of our empty plates. No one asked if we wanted anything else. No one cleared the table. At some point, we put our empty plates on the next table. No reaction. Other empty tables were cleared, which no one needed at that time (the restaurant was already half empty). At times, we didn't even see the servers, even though there were four people working there. Completely disorganized. My menu included a dessert, which of course I never received. After more than half an hour, we were fed up.

Very good. We ate there for lunch. There was a bit of a wait to be seated, but it was more than reasonable. The wait for service was also reasonable. The risotto with saffron and ossobuco was excellent!

Both the appetizer and the gnocchi were delicious! We found the prices to be in line with what they offer. Friendly staff and fast service. Recommended.

The wait for a risotto was unacceptable 😤, an hour is too long! I hope it was an isolated incident. The atmosphere is very beautiful and quaint ✨, truly welcoming. The food was tasty 😋, but the service ruined the experience 👎.
