Pizzera Turismo In Luino

I'll start by saying my experience was two years ago, but I hadn't posted it yet. I had a Margherita pizza, which is small and irregularly shaped, which I think isn't bad, but you can't charge me 10 euros for it! I also ate it in the restaurant next door where I was sitting outside with friends having an aperitivo, and the smell made me hungry. After asking permission from the manager where I was sitting, the pizza was served right there, at a table that wasn't even his, for 10 euros for a Margherita! It's true that there's a lake view, but it's also true that it's on a road where cars pass, so I don't think it's the best. The problem with that area is that they charge Swiss prices, but I'm not Swiss; in fact, I'm Calabrian like him, his fellow countryman, and I even introduced myself and told him, so I don't know if I'll go back. As for the other criticisms about dogs or other things, I think everyone should choose what they want in their restaurant, and then everyone is free to go. The best pizza in Luino and the best Spaghetti Aglio Olio e Peperoncini at the lake by far. Cosy indoor seating and lake view seating outside. Great service.

An underrated restaurant. The food is good and reasonably priced. The service is very attentive and friendly. We ate there twice in the evenings in May and had absolutely no complaints.

A lovely restaurant right on the riverbank. The food was fresh and delicious. The prices are reasonable considering the location. A fantastic focaccia was served with our drinks.

My friend ordered a pizza which was okay, nothing special but still decent. I chose a seafood pizza. The mussels were actually very good, but unfortunately the rest of the seafood — like the baby octopus and shrimp — had a very strong vinegar taste. Because of that, I couldn’t really enjoy the dish, and it made me feel like the seafood might have been from a can rather than fresh. Also, the crust was quite thick with very large edges, which didn’t really match my preference.

Be wary of any negative comments you find! Just because a place is packed and there's no silence, or because a dog isn't allowed in, reviews can't and shouldn't diminish the quality and service! In any case, we came to this trattoria for dinner, where we found a rustic and very welcoming atmosphere, super friendly staff, and excellent food. For a lakefront location, the prices are very fair compared to many other places nearby that offer more or less the same menu.
