The view of Lake Como from this spot is magical! The garden is beautiful and well-maintained. There's a huge queue to the famous gate... in March, we waited for over an hour to take a photo. So it's worth arriving for the opening and heading straight down to the gate.

One of the most enchanting places I've ever stayed. The atmosphere and ambiance are absolutely unparalleled, and the outdoor terrace has a fabulous view of the lake. The gardens are well-maintained, beautiful, and absolutely picturesque. The rooms are also very good. Specifically, I stayed in a junior suite with a balcony and a direct view of the terrace and the lake, which is an absolute privilege. The hotel is extremely clean, the rooms are well-equipped and comfortable, and the staff are attentive and considerate, with a level of professionalism befitting the level (and price) of the hotel. The breakfast was of very high quality, with excellent service and variety. One last note – on one of the days, the hotel was used for the wedding ceremony of a couple from Texas – as our room was above the terrace where the ceremony was taking place, the bride and groom (who obviously didn't know us) invited us to the party, and from what I experienced, I can also attest to the quality of the service and the event. Without a doubt, a great reference in Varena.

Food service was closed during the afternoon and only served drinks. The walking path is great for couples to take beautiful pictures together. A few paths were chained off. If you want pictures by the gate plan on waiting for a while.

I bought a ticket to the botanical garden and it was perfect, a beautiful and very well-maintained place. I recommend going on this date, but check the weather forecast beforehand as it can be a bit cloudy.
