20/05/2026: The upper room is perfect if you're in a group and want to spend an evening chatting, enjoying good pizza, and fast, friendly service.

20/05/2026: Excellent restaurant, lots of choices for pizzas, but a little less choice for first and second courses, but everything is very good, the staff are present and kind, suitable for many occasions.

14/01/2026: I went last night for the first time and it will also be the last. The starters and meat were good, the fish main courses inedible. We didn't even eat one of three different courses. What surprised me was that when it came to the bill, knowing that the three courses were brought back whole and they had asked why, and we kindly explained why, they didn't have the good sense to discount those dishes. We paid for everything in full without comment, but it will be the first and last time. An experience not to be repeated.

14/06/2026: Location: The outdoor seating for lunch is very nice. The interior is also tastefully decorated and has a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately, we were seated near the kitchen, and the meat-turning alarm sounded every 5 minutes, which was truly unbearable. Food: Good, sincere, and tasty Service: This is the sorest point. The waiters, having to serve too many tables, were completely unable to handle requests and reservations. I recommend expanding the staff and lightening the workload to allow for better service. The younger staff were not friendly or responsive to requests. I hope the restaurant fixes these shortcomings so we can return soon! Good luck!

05/06/2026: The quality of the food deserves a positive note, but the staff's attitude leaves much to be desired. They're truly rude. A place in such an inconvenient location should focus on welcoming guests, not give the impression it can afford to ignore them.

16/04/2026: Osteria Barbavara is excellent for a lunch break or business lunch. Quick service, simple yet tasty cuisine, and affordable. Good wine list. Rustic venue, excellent cleanliness, and top-notch service. The owner, Maria, is a delightful, courteous, and kind woman. Elena is a fantastic and charismatic cook! I highly recommend this osteria. Many stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

12/04/2026: We happened upon it on a Saturday: the food was homemade, all excellent, and genuine. Starter, second course, side dish, wine, water, coffee, and homemade dessert were €18 each! EVERYTHING EXCELLENT!

12/05/2026: The fish and the salad dish was awful(fish was burned and the salads were very mid). Ravioli magra(with ricotta and spinach) was good and the pork ribs with polenta were average because it was very greasy and polenta was not polenta… But the service was amazing, we didn’t complaint about the food at all, but the waiter saw the bad fish dish and excluded that from our tab.

05/07/2026: We decided to have an aperitif, and while we were standing outside, they immediately informed us of the €15 deal, including a drink. We asked how it worked and were told it included a platter of cured meats and cheeses, plus focaccia, gnocco fritto, and appetizers, with a hot first course and battered vegetables at the end. We were served a platter with mostly pizza and fried foods, all of them poor quality, a slice of mortadella split to make it look like 4 slices, two pieces of roast beef that were three days old, probably because it wasn't chewy, and three pieces of parmesan cheese. Also, mistaking the gnocco fritto for frozen round fritters seems absurd to me. We didn't eat the platter and left with only our glass of wine. A subpar aperitif, completely unremarkable for a place that's supposed to serve traditional Pavia cuisine. What a disappointment.

19/06/2026: I had lunch with my husband and daughter during a day of leisure in Pavia. I found this osteria online based on reviews that mentioned it as a good place, and I must confirm that it truly is. The interior is stunning, spread across two floors, and we'll definitely be back. We had lunch outside with the €10 menu, which includes a choice of first course, second course with side dish, water, and coffee. Everything was delicious. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

16/03/2026: We went to Corte Casello for my mother's birthday dinner. We had a delightful evening. The appetizer buffet was rich and delicious, and also beautiful to look at. The main courses we tried were delicious; the veal with onions was exceptional. The desserts were delicious, unique, and beautifully presented. The staff was very kind, attentive, and helpful. They brought my mother a personalized birthday cake, with a truly delicious lemon cream. The place is well-kept and very charming, with lots of fairy lights that create a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be back again and again!! Highly recommended!

06/05/2026: There's no TV. The shower was exceptional, the cleanliness was great, and the breakfast was homemade.

31/03/2026: A quiet place to savor homemade dishes like pasta or ravioli. The flavor of the vegetables tells you the ingredients are truly organic. The battered fish and pizzoccheri with homemade pasta are excellent. In summer, several outdoor tables evoke a bygone atmosphere. Moka pot coffee and short wait times are appropriate for freshly prepared dishes.

03/06/2026: Highly disappointed: Paying guests shouldn't be sidelined for private eventsI recently stayed at this hotel and was extremely disappointed with the management of the common areas. Throughout my entire stay, a wedding was being held on-site. As a result, I was completely barred from enjoying the garden and the terrace—the very features that justify the premium rates of this hotel and its overall appeal.Paying for a charming boutique experience only to find the main amenities locked down or inaccessible is deeply disrespectful to paying guests. If the property chooses to host weddings and large events, they should sell out the entire venue exclusively, as many professional hoteliers do. Trying to run a regular hotel while hosting private events just creates an incompatible experience. Unfortunately, I would not return and cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing stay.

23/04/2026: A magnificent hotel on the shores of Lake Como with exceptional views. Clean and comfortable rooms, very welcoming staff, and a delicious breakfast. An ideal place to relax, enjoy the peace and quiet, and be surrounded by nature. We will definitely return!

11/04/2026: For the price I paid, I was disappointed. The room was clean but small, and the bathroom didn't even have a hook for towels. The only positive was the lake view. The restaurant wasn't open yet, but they served us a pasta dish for dinner at an exorbitant price.
