18/03/2026: The Risorgimento restaurant in Sirmione no longer exists. It has changed ownership and its name. Now, that place is a tourist restaurant like so many others.

08/12/2025: Mediocre experience. Every year, at different times of the year or on different occasions, I spend a weekend in Sirmione and try two or three different restaurants. It's the first time I've been dissatisfied! Not all the waiters treated us the same way (and smiled), and as a result, not all of them made us feel comfortable. There was a misunderstanding regarding pasta for four little girls... Of course, it can happen. But the difference is made by those who are honest from the start and who don't want to rip off tourists. Two stars for the food. If I were to return, I wouldn't choose it. And if I were to recommend it, unfortunately, I wouldn't. It's true that, being a tourist destination, they might not care about customer service because they work regardless... but, I mean, it's still a matter of taking advantage of the profits and advertising. Ten of us (including four little girls) still left ours.

08/02/2026: One of the most renowned ice cream parlors in the area, with beautiful and delicious gelato. If you're passing through Codigoro, I highly recommend it!

04/03/2026: The entire impression of the food and ambience was spoiled by a very rude and uncultured worker who is a waitress. She mostly works in the first shift. She has blonde hair and is short. At 7:00 in the morning she didn't allow us to sit in an empty bar because it was RESERVED. I do the same job in another country with a much larger volume than this restaurant, but I haven't come across such rudeness for a long time. she came to take the order, my friend went to her while he was ordering, she looked at him for a while and didn't even look at him. I will never enter this restaurant again and I do not recommend it. A shame.

21/02/2026: A very nice little place with good food and attentive waitstaff! The Stewed Beef with Polenta was perfect. My partner got the Eggplant dish that I don’t recall the name, but was tasty as well. Prices seemed reasonable. Atmosphere modern but warm. Wine selection is well curated.

12/10/2025: I ate an overcooked steak that was as tough as a sole. The business lunch was a bit expensive, 16 euros.

16/03/2026: We had such an amazing stay at Hotel Royal Victoria in Varenna and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Lake Como. From the moment we arrived everything felt welcoming and effortless. The hotel arranged to pick us up from the train station which made arriving in Varenna so easy after traveling. It was such a thoughtful touch and really set the tone for the level of service we experienced during our stay. When it was time for us to leave they also dropped us back off at the station which we really appreciated. We stayed in room 104 and the room was absolutely beautiful. It had that classic Lake Como charm but still felt very comfortable and elegant. The room was spotless and peaceful and it was the kind of place where you immediately feel relaxed when you walk in. The hotel itself is stunning and being right on the lake makes it feel like a truly special place to stay. Breakfast each morning was fantastic with a great variety of fresh food and excellent coffee. Sitting there with views of Lake Como was the perfect way to start the day. What stood out the most though was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was kind, professional, and genuinely welcoming. A special thank you to Federica from the concierge team. She helped get everything set up before we even arrived and gave us great restaurant recommendations while we were there. Having someone so helpful made a big difference for our trip. The location of the hotel is perfect and Varenna itself was an incredible place to stay. It made the whole Lake Como experience feel even more special. We will definitely be back if we ever return to Lake Como. Staying here is absolutely worth it compared to staying at a larger chain hotel in Como. The charm, service, and overall experience made this a truly memorable stay.

17/12/2025: I ONLY ATE THE MARGHERITA PIZZA WITHOUT BASIL!!!!! DOUGH OK, BUT IT'S NOT A NEAPOLITAN PIZZA.....PEO-FITEROL WITHOUT EVEN A LITTLE CREAM. I PAID 15 EUROS FOR A PIZZA WITH HALF A WATER, AND A PROFITTEROL. THE STAFF WAS SMILING, THE WAITRESS WAS LAZY AND GRUMPY.

16/02/2026: I've been going there for years for the pizza, and it's always good, but that's still the only positive thing. The place seems a bit run-down. Stoves everywhere because the dining room isn't heated properly. Maintenance and cleanliness of the spaces and service are extremely poor. Last night was the worst: there were no ingredients, people left without eating, and they had no control over orders. In short, they would have done better to close because, in terms of reputation, they'll have lost all the customers who came yesterday. Usually, when a guy with curly hair manages a dining room, he's generally in control. Last night was a total disaster.

07/02/2026: Me and my friend found this place during sightseeing and sat in to have a pizza for dinner. Capricosa pizza was delicious, the waiter (who's name is Giovanni) and the full service of this place was incredibly kind and professional. I can recommand this place for anyone who whould like to feel the Italian spirit in Milan. :)))

12/01/2026: **TOURIST TRAP** DONT GO!! We chose this restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday during our trip to Italy, expecting a special dinner. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had while traveling. We've eaten at numerous truffle-specializing restaurants around the world, where dishes are typically served with a standard amount of truffle included, and any extras are always clearly explained and agreed upon in advance, with transparent pricing. Here, the exact opposite happened. Despite calling itself a truffle restaurant, the dishes were served without any truffle base. The truffle was then grated at the table without our request or even being asked if we wanted it. No price per gram was explained, no quantity was discussed, and no consent was sought. The staff continued to grate, giving the impression that it was a standard portion included. Only when we received the bill did we discover an extra charge of €112 for just 12 grams of truffle, a cost that had never been communicated or previously approved. When we challenged it, the restaurant refused to remove the charge, merely apologizing and attributing the error to the staff. This is unacceptable. Products charged by weight and at market price must be clearly explained and explicitly approved by the customer. We know that truffles are expensive. What is unacceptable is being charged blindly, especially when customers may have language barriers. I strongly advise anyone not to allow the addition of truffles without first clearly confirming the price per gram and the quantity. We will not return and cannot recommend this restaurant. ******* We chose this restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday during our trip to Italy, expecting a special and memorable dinner. Unfortunately, it turned into one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had while traveling. We have dined at many truffle restaurants around the world, where dishes are served with a standard amount of truffle included, and any additional truffle is optional, clearly priced, and explained in advance. Here, the opposite happened. Despite presenting itself as a truffle restaurant, the dishes were served without any truffle by default. Truffle was then shaved tableside without us asking for it and without being asked whether we wanted it. No price per gram was explained. No quantity was discussed. No consent was sought. The shaving continued, giving the impression that a standard portion was included. Only when the bill arrived did we discover an unexpected €112 extra charge for just 12 grams of truffle — a cost that was never disclosed or agreed to before hand. Many of the google reviews reflected similar negative experiences of being blindly and forcefully charged on scam!!! Local seems to be no issue??

20/12/2025: I bought a truffle at the central market. It tasted like nothing, absolutely nothing. Avoid.

15/03/2026: Unique local experience, attention to detail, kind and helpful staff, excellent quality dishes.... The only flaw, but maybe I was unlucky, was the coffee, for the rest, wowww... Ps. Go and see the bathrooms, the background music is the touch of class

15/03/2026: Unfortunately, it was a poor Saturday evening. We waited about half an hour for a reserved table; the service was fast, but the dishes arrived several minutes apart; the fried food was absolutely mediocre. It's a shame, because previous experiences had certainly been better.

16/01/2026: Hotel restaurant, location stuck in the 1970s, large windows... so not hot. But polite, courteous service, and... you go for an excellent risotto... different flavors, all delicious! At the entrance to the stairs, unfortunately, under the flower box (eye level) many, many cigarette butts in plain sight... not a pretty sight!
