21/03/2026: High-quality pizza ingredients, a Roman waiter who was professional, empathetic, and kind, and possessed all the characteristics that make Italy the most hospitable and welcoming country in the world. We also had two fried zucchini flowers and two babà. The final price, in my opinion, was excessive at €70, including two medium beers, a bottle of water, and a large coffee. However, we were celebrating and didn't rely too heavily on the menu, which was carefully provided by the waiter. Last note: the receipt was properly issued. For me, that's an important piece of information. We'll gladly return.

21/03/2026: This place was an absolute disaster. Honestly one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. We waited forever for our food, and when it finally arrived, it was completely disappointing – overcooked, bland, and just not what you expect from Italian cuisine at all. But the service was even worse. The staff were rude, unhelpful, and couldn’t even speak basic English, which made ordering unnecessarily difficult. Instead of trying to help, they just seemed annoyed the whole time. And the biggest joke? They actually charged us 2€ per person for “service” – for WHAT exactly?! We basically got no service at all. No one checked on us, we had to figure everything out ourselves, and we were treated like we were a problem. On top of that, the prices were way too high for such poor quality. Bad food, terrible service, and extra charges for nothing. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. Total tourist trap.

22/12/2025: Pizzeria just steps from Piazza Bologna, a few minutes' walk from the metro station. The spacious restaurant offers plenty of seating and a wood-fired oven. The menu offers appetizers, fried foods, and traditional Roman pasta dishes, as well as various pizzas. The dishes are truly inviting, prepared with top-quality ingredients. Try the Instagrammable tiramisu, served in a pot, like a plant with soil. Prices are average for the neighborhood. Recommended.

14/03/2026: It's worth making a stop at a pizza and pasta bar to try this place, not only for the fantastic food, but also for the great atmosphere and excellent service. We ordered lamb skewers and an Acropolis for two, along with a glass of wine and tap water. The total bill was €40, and we were very happy with our meal.

24/02/2026: Amazing restaurant, a true local gem just around the corner from our hotel. The best meal we had in Rome and such an authentic experience. Despite being the only tourists in there we were treated with the same respect and service, and it was fantastic value for money. Also an incredible wine list! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Rome, but book as it was so busy even on Monday night!

17/03/2026: At Pizzeria San Marino, I immediately understood that, even before the pizza, a precise cosmic order operates there, governed by two simple rules: no reservations and two lines, one to sit down and one for takeout. Ensuring this order is Roberto, a true Abruzzese, who manages the lines at the entrance with the watchful calm of a native Abruzzese. But with a necessary zoological correction: the Abruzzese Abruzzese doesn't accompany the flock to pasture, but defends it from wolves. And in fact, his true flock isn't us, the customers—hungry sheep waiting for our supplì—but his daughter, a LUISS student with a beauty so disciplined it seems choreographed, who crosses the terrace like a star crosses the stage at the Opera. Looking at her for too long would be an evolutionary mistake: it's a very short step from a well-fed customer to a defeated predator. But then the fried foods arrive, and every allegory yields with dignity to enjoyment. They're extraordinary, clean, precise, without that greasy sloppiness that in too many Roman pizzerias is passed off as tradition. Immediately afterward, a delicious pizza arrives, the kind that has the good sense not to be theatrical: thin, centered, convincing, accompanied by quick service that keeps the dining room and the wait flowing smoothly. And this is perhaps the most remarkable aspect of the place. The machine moves with perfect timing. The line moves, you sit down, you eat, you enjoy, and your seat is vacated without ever feeling like a chore to be done. There's an intelligence in the pace that these days is almost as important as the dough. A simple and welcoming atmosphere, outdoor tables, fast service, reasonable prices, a price range worthy of a real pizzeria, not a séance on the final bill. Five stars without effort. Because Pizzeria San Marino manages a small Roman miracle: feeding you well, making you smile, making you wait just the right amount, and reminding you that the best places aren't those that put on airs, but those with character, craftsmanship, and the calm confidence of those who know exactly what they're doing.

20/01/2026: I can't find any fault with what I think is the best "stinky" place in Rome...the old-fashioned pizzeria everyone wishes they had on their doorstep. The pizza is top-notch, the pasta is delicious, and the sour cherry tart is a must-try. The service is so fast the waiters seem like Speedy Gonzales.

16/03/2026: An elegant restaurant in the heart of Rome's historic center, just steps from Piazza Navona. It features several tastefully furnished rooms. The soft lighting and quiet atmosphere create an atmosphere that allows guests to spend pleasant, relaxing evenings, far from the chaos of the city. Upon entry, you are greeted with professionalism and courtesy and shown to your reserved tables. While you wait for your dishes, the wait staff offers guests delicious mini-creations by the chef, all of which are superbly crafted. The following dishes are equally impressive. Among these are the onion soup and plin, in all their variations. The veal cheek and smoked lamb are excellent. Desserts are equally worthy, including the revisited Mont Blanc and the large chocolate hazelnut filled with a special hazelnut cream. The wine list features a wide selection of high-end and very high-end labels. The quality-price ratio is excellent.

05/10/2025: A wonderful lunch at this restaurant run by young people. We all tasted delicious dishes, with great attention to detail in the use of diverse ingredients, including local produce. We were amazed by the balance and deliciousness of the pork tenderloin on carrot cream and plum and soy sauce, and the paccheri with gorgonzola and hazelnuts. We finished with excellent desserts, including the Basque cheesecake and a brownie with chocolate ice cream and hazelnut cream, paired beautifully with a Sicilian passito. The wine list is beautiful, with unusual choices at reasonable prices. Wine by the glass is available, including an excellent Velletri Syrah. The staff were very attentive. For me, accustomed to Tuscan prices, the price was less than I expected.

28/02/2026: Nice dishes if you looking for seafood. It’s hard to find in Rome places like this so once founded keep it like a treasure! Everything was delicious. Don’t be tricked by the entrance of the restaurant because looks like a Bettola ( tavern) from the 80s’ and you are tempted to leave without come in. Food it’s good.

08/02/2026: This was really a hidden gem. The staff consists of young people. Maybe what they lack in experience, they overcome with the attitude and nice smile. The food is exactly what you expect from italian restaurant (although this is not the ristorante). Definitelly coming back next time I am in Rome :)
