12/01/2026: An inn at the foot of the pyramid. Welcoming, familiar, and with a delightful aroma of delicious food that whets the appetite. The excellent selection of meats is well presented by the chef at the counter, describing the different flavors of the various cuts. The bruschetta and amatriciana are outstanding, and I recommend them. The service is prompt and courteous, the prices are average, and overall, a place worth a visit.

13/01/2026: I had 2 items from the dinner special menu, a polenta dish and a pasta (second photo), which were amazing. So much so, that we visited the restaurant a couple of days later. Thank you, Francesca Yasin, for introducing me to real Tiramisu (I will never be the same) and thank you Giuseppe Aige for the awesome service! If you are going to Rome, add Bacco In Trastevere to your list, truly a chem!

12/01/2026: A small local spot in Trastevere. The two pasta dishes we had were incredibly delicious! (Matrigialla & Tagliatelle al Sagrantino) The service was also very attentive!

09/01/2026: The experience at this restaurant was completely disappointing and far from the expectations its reputation had created. Upon arrival, the owner insisted we opt for the tasting menu, without providing us with the full menu or a detailed description of the dishes and ingredients. Forced to partake in the tasting and stating that the tasting would be tailored to the customer's needs, we were not asked any questions about allergies, intolerances, or food preferences. In fact, everyone was served the same dishes, giving the impression of a standardized rather than personalized offering. The quality of the cuisine did not live up to expectations: the ingredient combinations seemed unbalanced, lacking harmony and a lack of attention to flavor. The dishes conveyed neither research nor gastronomic coherence; in fact, they were truly disgusting. In some cases, we were not even given a detailed explanation of the dish. When I asked the owner in detail what was in a second course sauce that was making me sick, I was not even given a precise answer. To finish off the dessert, we were treated to babà, a typical dessert from Montefiascone. We'd also mentioned that we were teetotalers (which suggests the standardization). The atmosphere also negatively impacted the experience. The place is extremely small, with tables so close together that it's impossible to overhear other people's conversations, eliminating any sense of privacy or comfort. We only went for the reviews, which by now are worth it, as we later discovered that the locals are disgusted by it, so it's a tourist trap. Honestly, we've paid less at REALLY high-quality, Michelin-starred restaurants.

06/01/2026: Twenty-two seats for lucky guests. Nothing is left to chance, there's no banality, just fantastic associations in a journey of colors and high-quality ingredients. A hostess who pampers and directs with care and mastery. We are completely satisfied.

From the first moment we visited the venue, we knew it was the right place: elegant, welcoming, surrounded by greenery, with a magical atmosphere that instantly captivated us. We immediately sensed a great passion for hospitality and attentive customer service. The wedding day was simply unforgettable; every detail was taken care of with great professionalism and passion: impeccable hospitality. The dishes served were truly excellent; each course was an explosion of flavors, perfectly balancing tradition and creativity. Casale di Villa Battistini isn't just a beautiful place, it's a team of wonderful people who work with heart. Thank you again for everything!!

05/01/2026: Thank you so much, Franco! We stopped in on a rainy day to warm up and have some wine. But he greeted us very warmly, telling us all about the place and its specialties. As a result, we stayed, had a wonderful dinner, and were delighted with the artichoke, pasta, and meat. We didn't have time to take any photos.

18/01/2026: I was really disappointed with this experience. Traveling there with my partner, I decided to book a table at this restaurant, located near our hotel in a prime spot opposite the Colosseum. The rave reviews (a whopping 4.7 out of over 20,000) convinced me to make the reservation, and it was a huge mistake on my part not to suspect the tourist trap lurking behind that enticing facade. For starters, we were served a burrata with a tin of anchovies, a few salad leaves, and sundried tomatoes for €20... Thank goodness we shared it. We had to dress the dish ourselves with the balsamic vinegar and olive oil that were provided. The spritzes, at €12 each, were mediocre: tasteless and bland. And honestly, €12 for that? And to top it all off, we shared a salami pizza as a main course, the crust of which was thinner than a frozen Picard pizza, which itself tastes much better. The pizza had absolutely no flavor, and the crust was definitely not homemade. If it was, that's all the more appalling. Finally, the service: an incredibly nonchalant waiter who seemed disappointed himself to be working for an establishment offering such bland food. Waiters behind the bar just stared at us, waiting for customers. Honestly, instead of standing there giving us dirty looks, you'd be better off learning how to make your own pasta. We ate at several restaurants in Rome, and even some small, unassuming places made their own pasta. We even asked the waiter about the pasta dishes, and he assured us that only one dish wasn't made with "dry" pasta. Frankly, it's a disgrace to call yourself a "restaurant" in this city with its incredible cuisine and charge such outrageous prices. Despite its prime location, the restaurant was half empty. That should have been a red flag when we arrived... In short, treating customers like this will ultimately cost you dearly in the long run. Seriously, you need to rethink your business plan and, above all, make everything from scratch, like most of the restaurants in Rome we visited, which were excellent, had impeccable service, and didn't charge exorbitant prices. Thank you for taking my feedback into account, and for the experience itself, which will be a valuable lesson for the naive tourist I was about trusting reviews. Next time, I'll be more vigilant. Final bill: €64.50 for a shared starter, a shared main course, two spritzes, and a €5 "service charge." Service, really...

11/10/2025: Alessandro and Alessandra have always been my go-tos. And not just for the varied raw fish dishes unlike anywhere else in the world. The location is enchanting, the staff is exceptionally friendly, and the owners often come to the table to check the opinions of those enjoying their dishes. The wine list is amazing. If there is a God of Taste, then he lives here.

07/12/2025: A simple restaurant with fast, friendly service, it fully lives up to its reputation as a no-frills, yet substantial restaurant, serving good food in a lively, cheerful atmosphere. A stunning location. Excellent value for money.

08/02/2026: Despite having a reservation for five people, we were turned away at the restaurant entrance with about ten people ahead of us. The service was very poorly managed and there was very little explanation... I do not recommend this establishment.

07/02/2026: Excellent restaurant. We ordered a Margherita pizza, a 4 cheese and mushroom pizza and a Greek salad. Everything was excellent and fresh and the olive oil and balsamic were also of a high standard. The Neapolitan pizza is excellent which is not that easy to find in Rome. It was our last evening in Rome so we couldn't go back again, but we will be back next time.
