20/12/2025: In two weeks, two dinners, one with friends and one with my life partner; there's a reason, and I'll tell you. The atmosphere is deliberately simple, like the typical trattorias you find in Emilia-Romagna: clean and comfortable, you feel right at home. The service is discreet, always present at the change of courses, and full of suggestions. The food is a wide selection, including typical Ferrarese dishes and expertly blended with the surrounding area. To date, I've tasted, first, Ferrarese salami pie, chef's grill, second, Ferrarese pasticcio with truffle, and "vellutata" (velvety) polenta with salami... well, gentlemen, I absolutely must return for a round of just the latter, Her Majesty the Polenta, soft and velvety, paired with a variety of toppings... I'll try them all soon. See you soon.

09/12/2025: Compliments to the chef and all his staff, who were friendly and provided a wonderful welcome, just like home. Excellent, well-prepared food, high quality. Recommended: Truffled cutlet (I won't let you post a photo) ❤️❤️

04/01/2026: This very chic little restaurant was recommended to us, aesthetically unique and refined. We had a wonderful dinner: the raw fish appetizer was presented with the care and passion of a chef who knows what he's doing. The off-menu first course was FABULOUS, with truly thoughtful aromas and combinations. Then I said to myself, "Now a dessert would be perfect, but I'm having a hard time surprising myself after this crescendo of flavors and aromas..." Even though I was full, I decided to break the rules. The result? A SENSATIONAL dessert! For the service and hospitality, I'd say we're 6 stars! Well done, well done, well done! You deserve so many more satisfied customers like us! We'll definitely be back.

16/01/2026: A well-known restaurant in Ferrara that I found overrated compared to my high expectations. Personally, I find the menu rather boring and repetitive, almost always featuring only fish, and therefore it's not to my liking. The service, unless you're a known and loyal customer, isn't particularly attentive. The open space overlooking the street is interesting, especially in summer and fall. Recommended but with reservations; it's definitely a place that could improve, especially in terms of value for money. The reservation service could be improved.

06/01/2026: Disorganized bookings; they don't answer the phone. We went on the first night, recommended by the hotel, and were told at 7:00 PM that without a reservation, we couldn't get in. A table for two was provided. The next day, we tried to book from the morning, even through the hotel, but they didn't answer. That evening, we tried to stop by and were turned away a second time, saying we couldn't have dinner without a reservation. How to book this restaurant remains a mystery. I'd say I'll never try again.

18/01/2026: I found it by chance after reading the reviews and looking at the photos of the dishes. This time, let's start with the things I didn't like the most: the lighting in the restaurant was disappointing, with ineffective lights. The space is also a little cramped, but it's manageable. From here on out, only positive things. The menu isn't overwhelming, so you can't get lost. There are 5-6 choices for each course, traditional Ferrara dishes and a few different options, including meat, fish, and vegetarian options. I tried the creamed cod with chickpea cream, pumpkin tortelli, and salami for sauce. Not much to say, the dishes were good and well-prepared (perhaps I would have preferred the ragù for the tortelli to be different: the pieces of meat were large and the sauce a little runny, but that's a minor detail). Special mention for the service! The waiters were kind and attentive, smiling and pleasant, and they also gave us effective advice. Truly excellent. If I were to return to Ferrara, I would definitely return here.

24/12/2025: The atmosphere is truly beautiful. The food is excellent, with an off-menu option that changes weekly. The staff is young and knowledgeable. You can also go for an aperitif!

02/02/2026: We had lunch yesterday, they were truly friendly and professional. I think it was one of the best lunches I've had in Ferrara. You deserve at least a Michelin star... truly excellent, and everything was perfect down to the smallest detail. Definitely worth returning.

28/11/2025: We ate there on a Sunday for lunch. The place is beautiful, the staff very friendly, and the food is truly delicious. The raw artichoke salad was truly delicious, as were the salami and cutlet. Highly recommended.

The ambiance is beautiful, refined without being pretentious, and the open kitchen is open to the light and harmonious world of Chef Guido and his assistants. The hostess, with kindness and wisdom, guides guests through the best options. The result is always a delight for body and soul!

23/12/2025: The chef decides what you eat, how much you eat, and even how much you pay. A little flexibility wouldn't hurt!

01/02/2026: A very appealing menu and, in addition, a truly exceptional wine list — something refreshingly different from the usual. Pretty generous portion sizes.

15/01/2026: The welcome was excellent, the rooms spacious and clean. We had a relaxing dinner in the restaurant, which served excellent traditional Ferrara dishes.

10/01/2026: A fantastic experience at this delightful osteria. The atmosphere is informal and pleasant, the welcome warm, and the service friendly and helpful, with recommendations for both food and must-sees in the city. The food is very good, fresh and typical of the area, and the price is reasonable. An honorable mention goes to the traditional Ferrara cappellacci, truly delicious! A highly recommended stop for anyone in Ferrara.

09/01/2026: wonderful establishment! Been there with a few colleagues after a conference. We called in short notice and were quite a few people. Sergio - the owner - made sure we can all be seated and was simply a wonderful host. Not only did they provide excellent food, but also quite some entertainment: Sergio played some italian songs here and there, which contributed to a wonderful night.

15/01/2026: Excellent food and atmosphere. The waitresses were too rushed to serve us, waiting for customers. It's a shame we didn't fully enjoy the family lunch experience.

12/01/2026: I've been to this restaurant a few times, and based on that experience, I'd say the dishes are very good, homemade, and flavorful. The only negative I'd highlight is the staff's lack of friendliness. They lack customer service, and the rude responses are frequent; it almost seems like they're doing the customer a favor by feeding them. The staff seems annoyed by any request; at times, they try to be friendly, but there's a hint of bitterness hidden behind their jokes. It's a shame, because their attitude makes you not want to return.

06/01/2026: A lovely little place in Ferrara's historic center! A simple yet sophisticated menu, you can order typical local dishes, pizzas, and burgers with fries. The side dishes were also tasty.

18/01/2026: Pizza molto buona ..... si sente proprio che è la pizza del ciclone.... consiglio anche i piatti a base di pesce...... inoltre sono sempre veloci e gentili ...... anche a casa la pizza del Ciclone è sempre ottima !

16/01/2026: An excellent venue where the hospitality, service, and cuisine always meet expectations and offer excellent value. You can also eat outdoors on the characteristic Via Saraceno, enjoying the charming Ferrara atmosphere.
