20/06/2025: Un posto magico, in cui sono tornato con un amico a distanza di un anno circa. Bellissimo il luogo in cui si trova, in una delle vie più affascinanti di Ferrara. Intimo ed elegante l'interno, dove si respira un'atmosfera rilassata e rilassante. Servizio top. Attento, premuroso, ma anche discreto, morbido. Tanta competenza. Pietanze eccezionali. Materia prima di altissimo livello, trattata in modo superbo. Ci torneremo ogni volta che potremo. Magico.

31/05/2025: Refined menus, and of excellent quality. Everything was really excellent, except that the waitress forgot about us and the table next to us. We both left without eating dessert. For the rest I confirm 5 full stars. Highly recommended.

12/05/2025: Characteristic place with beautiful and comfortable rooms, a sort of luxurious ancient cellar with arches, where you can breathe the care and dedication that "the NEW management" gives to its place. Excellent cuisine with tasty and quality dishes, well presented both meat and fish; and I cannot fail to mention the excellent and vast selection of wines. Very kind, friendly and professional staff. I highly recommend.

10/06/2025: Beautiful place in the Jewish Ghetto of Ferrara, located in an old stable of the Estensi. Young, friendly and knowledgeable staff .. consequently fast and precise service .. excellent traditional local dishes but also revisited, abundant and different depending on the season, but all well cooked and worth trying. Excellent value for money too. The place has numerous seats inside but also some lovely outdoor tables in the summer. Reservations are always appreciated. If you pass through Ferrara you have to try it.

25/06/2025: In a central square in Ferrara, a short distance from the Estense Castle, the restaurant with about 30 seats is rectangular in shape, on the long side on the left as you enter there is a counter and then a classic sideboard with a display case, in front of the sideboard there are dark walnut colored tables and chairs, predominant throughout the restaurant, a ceiling with beams of the same color and low lighting with jazz music in the background (at least on the day of my visit). Among the appetizers, between 14 and 16 €, in addition to various local cured meats including the “Zia ferrarese” seared and served with Fuji apple and superbly sweet and sour balsamic vinegar glaze, also a Vicenza-style cod with polenta and a Fassona meat tartare with quail yolk and mayonnaise. A special mention, among the first courses (also between 14 and 16€), goes to the cappellacci with Ferrarese violin squash, the sweetest of the squashes, which pairs magnificently with the cappellacci pasta in a pleasantly dense whole. In addition to the cappellacci, there are also strozzapreti always with violin squash, gnocchetti with aubergines, cherry tomatoes and salted ricotta as well as spaghetti alla chitarra with lime prawns and pumpkin seeds. The second courses include, in addition to sirloin steak of Scottona and pork ribs, grilled prawns and a special "mixed vegetable garden with grilled polenta and cheese fondue". Appropriately, the fondue and polenta compensate for the bitterness of the vegetables which are served slightly seared. The prices of the second courses range between 18€ for the mixed vegetables and 23€ for the Scottona and prawns. Surprise desserts (all at 7€). The wine list is not particularly varied but reasonably priced. Attentive service.

03/05/2025: Conosciamo questo ristorante da molti anni, durante i quali è diventato più raffinato e con menu più vario, sempre centrato sul mare. In più ha anche il grande vantaggio di offrire una buona scelta di piatti senza glutine. Mai un problema in tal senso. Personale molto gentile e attento. Non vediamo l'ora di tornarci....da Milano.

19/06/2025: My partner and I went there for dinner and we had a great time. Very good food and super high quality, not to mention the super particular and detailed explanation of the wines. Especially because it was done by Mr. Nicola who pampered us all evening. Top service and perfect location. We thank the maitre Nicola again because with his dedication to the customers he made our evening even more special.

18/06/2025: Servizio molto veloce e cordiale. Abbiamo iniziato con un antipasto di salumi misti, seguito da due primi: i classici capellacci al ragù e un fuori menù di tagliatelle. Tutto buono e ben presentato. L’impressione generale è quella di un ristorante ben rodato, in cui si viene per mangiare bene e rapidamente, e poi si lascia spazio ad altri clienti. Non lo considero un difetto — anzi, da chi lavora nel settore, capisco perfettamente la necessità di gestire i flussi in questo modo. Anche se si trova nel centro storico, non è una trappola per turisti: l’atmosfera è autentica, i piatti sono della tradizione e i prezzi contenuti. Una buona tappa per un pasto gustoso ed efficiente nel cuore di Ferrara.

25/06/2025: Typical trattoria, with a simple atmosphere, which offers traditional dishes. The service is fast, but a bit anonymous. Compared to the atmosphere, the price seemed a little expensive, but the dishes were plentiful: for two first courses, two second courses, two desserts, 3/4 of house wine, water and coffee €91

24/06/2025: It is a typical simple and sober trattoria with many rooms, the cuisine is typical of Ferrara and traditional, the menu is spoken by the waiter. The service is fast and the staff is kind. We had as a first course the pasticcio di maccheroni and casarecce with mutton ragù: generous portions. As a second course the mixed bollini and the excellent and abundant beef fillet with porcini mushrooms. The portions are abundant, but we were tempted by the zuppa inglese which is truly remarkable. The house wine is good, a very respectable Sangiovese. The price is in line with what we ate (€95 for two). We will return.
