A lovely, historic place. Everyone knows exactly what they're doing, given their experience in the industry. The dishes are good, with particularly high-quality first courses, such as the ragù and pumpkin cappellacci. Portions are adequate overall, but not generous. The service, though efficient, lacks a welcoming calm. To be picky, the potato oil could use some improvement, and the mashed potatoes lack character (the butter and nutmeg are missing). Desserts are average. Prices are average.

If you're looking for the true soul of Ferrara, this restaurant is a must-see. We experienced a culinary journey that celebrated local tradition with truly excellent quality ingredients.
Our menu:
Pumpkin cappellacci with ragù: The perfect balance between the sweetness of the filling and the savory sauce. Pasta expertly rolled out, just as tradition dictates.
Salama da sugo with purée: An explosion of flavor. The texture was perfect, and the purée, soft and velvety, masterfully complemented the salama's intense spiciness. A bold dish, yet executed with extreme delicacy.
For dessert, we ordered:
Torta Tenerina: Simply impeccable. Crispy on the outside, with a moist, melt-in-the-mouth center that makes it irresistible to any chocolate lover.
Panpepato Semifreddo: An incredible surprise. A creative and refreshing way to reinterpret Ferrara's iconic dessert (Panpepato), making it the perfect way to end a meal.

It's the best trattoria in Ferrara, there's no denying it! Excellent dishes: lasagna, cappellacci, the best pasticcio ferrarese in the city. Very nice atmosphere. Every time we go to Ferrara, we stop here for lunch. It's almost always closed for dinner and...you can't reserve, so the only way to secure a table is to arrive when it opens (12:00 p.m.), preferably a few minutes early, and get in line. It's worth it, though 😊

All food was great!
The best tagliattele al ragu we ate while in Italy, very good lambchops and their pumpkin filled pasta with cheese and sage! We all loved it!
