26/09/2025: I had an excellent and perfectly cooked piadina, the staff were very kind, the atmosphere was a bit distressed but only because the large construction site for the square's renovation loomed next to the tables, it's not the restaurant's fault obviously, it's an experience to be noted

01/03/2026: I can understand that when a restaurant is full, it’s normal you to have to wait.
We waited patiently as well, but the service was somehow disorganized.
We mentioned this twice.
We received the food after about 50 minutes, which it would not have been a problem.
Every food arrived one by one, which I don’t think is acceptable for a table of four.
The salad arrived after 15 minutes first. Another 20 minutes later, one main course came out. The person had to start eating alone because the food is getting cold Easily.
Ten minutes later, another dish arrived, and finally the last two main courses were served together.
It’s simply not possible to eat together like this. Unfortunately, the communication does not seem to be working well, and the quality of the service no longer reflects the standard it used to have. I feel sorry about the waiter and waitress,they were doing their best in the full house situation

Weekend lunch.
I personally really like this location: the fresh fish counter is open to the public, the buffet is open, the light colors and cloth tablecloths are clean, and the space is spacious and well-soundproofed. In my opinion, it perfectly captures the traditional Italian restaurant feel, a touch retro, and I consider that a compliment. You can tell at first glance that this isn't a makeshift restaurant or the whim of an aspiring chef/TV star.
I love eating fish, and between business trips and pleasure, I often stop by the restaurant.
First of all, the fish menu: just browsing through it, you'll notice a truly impressive variety of fish dishes, and it's hard not to be impressed. There's truly everything you could want, from raw fish and pasta dishes to grilled fish, fillets, and shellfish. I particularly appreciate the menu's wide range of options, including shellfish or fillets, ordered individually or by weight, and the option of grilling or frying.
I opted for a first course (pacchero Sinfonia, macchiato, with octopus, shrimp, cuttlefish, and a sensational fresh-from-the-water scampi). The sauce was heartwarming, the pasta was well-cooked and delicious, and the fish was excellent.
For the second course, I opted for a combo that I personally really enjoyed and that's not easy to find on menus: the fisherman's delight: mixed grill (one scampi, one prawn, one white fillet) and fried anchovies, cuttlefish, and a few shrimp.
I found the combo to be a great success, with a generous portion and all the flavors of the fried and grilled seafood present. Once again, a special mention goes to the scampi, truly excellent.
I also appreciated the wine; not the usual Falanghina from the big retailers, but a bit more sophisticated, with a mineral flavor, excellent with fish. The wine list is truly extensive.
Excellent service, friendly waiters. When it came to the bill, the owner even discounted the grappa, which is always appreciated.
My only complaint: I personally would appreciate a printed menu, although I understand it can be complicated for many reasons. However, it would add that final touch of tradition that would be the icing on the cake.
I've been here before for pizza with friends, but now that I've discovered the quality of the fish, I'll be back for more.
In short, if you're looking for a real restaurant where you can eat excellent fish and where you can immediately sense that the restaurant has been a tradition for twenty years or more, this is the best restaurant in town.

10/10/2025: A very refined and welcoming restaurant, furnished with a simple yet warm taste. The welcome was extremely courteous, making us immediately feel at home.
We chose a carafe of red wine, which turned out to be surprisingly good, well above the average for what's usually offered at this restaurant.
The first courses were a real surprise: the spaghetti alla chitarra with seafood and the potato and spinach gnocchi with a delicate cream, prosciutto, and chopped pistachios (off-menu, special of the day) were both excellent, with generous portions and precise cooking.
The most memorable note were the tigelle: light dough, perfect air bubbles, evenly cooked. Truly among the best we've tried, true to the tradition of Pavullo nel Frignano. The accompanying cured meats were also excellent, clearly of high quality.
The generous portions prevented us from continuing with other tastings, but this remains a more than compelling reason to return and explore the rest of the menu.
Conclusion: a restaurant where cuisine, hospitality, and atmosphere coexist in harmony. Compliments to the dining room and kitchen staff.
Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

07/03/2026: Very good food, with unique and typical local dishes. The menu was limited (about thirty dishes).
Some dishes were broken on the sides, but the service was very good. The waiters were polite and friendly.
The atmosphere was nice, a little empty, but in a restaurant, it's the food that counts, not the location. The prices were reasonable and not excessive for the quantity and quality of the dishes. Also recommended for large groups.
10/02/2026: I was welcomed warmly and tasted typical local dishes that were well made and very tasty. If I ever have the chance to pass through the area again, I definitely know where I can stop to eat.

My boyfriend and I often eat here because, during the week, it's a great place to eat good food in a relaxed atmosphere and at a great price. The gyros special is a must-try.
On weekends, it's advisable to reserve a table, otherwise you'll have to wait to be seated.

22/02/2026: It's been a few years since I've been to this beloved trattoria. I returned last week, and... I returned again this Sunday. My classic menu includes the delicious tagliolini with (plenty of) truffles, the tender and succulent fillet with balsamic vinegar, and the zabaglione semifreddo. This time, I opted for the signature panzerotti (few people make this ancient dish anymore), the grilled lamb chops, and the zuppa inglese. Trattoria del Sole confirms its position as a top-notch restaurant for the quality of its expertly executed dishes and the kindness of its staff. The wine cellar is also well-stocked.
02/01/2026: Returned last night, pretty much completely disappointed. Poor quality/price ratio.

30/01/2026: I never thought a pizza could be so good when cooked in an electric oven instead of a wood oven. But this place proves it! I was late to make a reservation and they were fully occupied (in winter on a Tuesday night!). But they helped us (a group of 4) to have a seat at the bar. It was also a very good experience to be there right next to the oven, watching the master to create the pizza. Definitely, a place not to miss for pizza lovers!

09/02/2026: For the price we spent for two, which was still not insignificant, we ate very well. It's certainly not a tourist trap like some downtown restaurants. The quality of the ingredients is palpable here (meat and fish for sure; we'll be back for the pasta dishes), and the plating and presentation are meticulously crafted. The wine list is excellent! Regional and national selections, and it's a real pleasure to find wines from important vintages and decanter-worthy reds.
22/01/2026: Bitone has a fantastic location: the building is very characteristic and the ambiance elegant. The staff and service are excellent. However, there are some significant issues: first of all, the prices are high, higher than those of a Michelin-starred restaurant (which is incomprehensible).
The selection of dishes is traditional, with no innovative experimentation or unusual combinations. The price of a standard plate of tortellini is €30. The welcome drink has been the same for the past four years (mere crostini with cheese), and every time I go, they don't have any options for those with lactose intolerance. Furthermore, all the desserts contained lactose. I think it's a serious problem that a restaurant with such prices doesn't have any options for those with lactose intolerance. This needs to be addressed.

20/03/2026: We went as a couple without a reservation and they found a seat for us, the staff was very nice and friendly.
The appetizer was good (bel&bon, three for you), decent.
Unfortunately, I had the seafood parmigiana (I've attached a video). It tasted like soup, full of tomato, and too salty.
But they made up for it with dessert. I had the zabaglione tiramisu (I recommend it), beautifully served and delicious.
The price was a bit high for what we ate.

08/03/2026: One of the best seafood restaurants I've been to. Excellent service in an intimate and very characteristic setting. The raw fish was perfect, and the scallops au gratin were also very good. The fried food was light and crispy. Excellent wine selection as well. It's not cheap, but it's a great place for a nice dinner. Highly recommended.

15/03/2026: A tavern where you can eat traditional food at a fair price. Welcoming staff, spacious tables for two. Located in an alleyway near the main roads, it's hard to find by chance if you're just passing by. The dishes are delicious, and the fillings are plentiful. The vintage signs on the walls are charming. To complete the experience, you absolutely must try their desserts displayed in the window; the cookies near the register are also delicious. A heartfelt tip: always ask for the bread; it's excellent, like a thick, doughy focaccia. Try it, you won't regret it. It's tempting to ask for seconds, but I wouldn't recommend it because the dishes are complete and there's no shortage of ingredients. Congratulations!
09/03/2026: This Bolognese restaurant in the center of Bologna is just steps from Corso Indipendenza and the city's main tourist attractions. The atmosphere is very comfortable, and the menu offers a limited number of dishes, all traditional and delicious. If you enjoy good food, I highly recommend it. Reservations are recommended.
