13/06/2026: Gem of a spot. Hidden down an alleyway, barely visible till you are close enough and very worth it. We were a big group and they were very accommodating for not having a reservation (unlike Trattoria da Me). Got to try a bunch of dishes family style and even some off menu. Standouts were the tortellini in broth, the lasagna, caprese salad and Petroniana style cutlet. Nice little wine selection with after dinner drink options as well. Great find.

05/08/2026: A very nice, cozy Italian restaurant. Very comfortable. I ate the best spaghetti of my life here. Spaghetti pomodori. Incredibly affordable: 10 euros for the spaghetti and 7 for the large pizza. Friendly service, probably the owner herself. Absolutely fantastic. If you're in Bologna, you absolutely must eat there!!

02/08/2026: We had dinner for two on a Saturday evening. Very pleasant staff, fast service. Tables were set with tablecloths, which is no longer a given, and the complimentary appetizer was very welcome. A quaint place, whether you like it or not. In my opinion, it's a bit dark, but it's well-air-conditioned. We ordered two pizzas, which unfortunately weren't very good. The dough was thin, hard, and difficult to cut. They didn't use fiordilatte mozzarella. Prices were in line with the amount consumed.

21/05/2026: Hotel Locanda del Mulino is a charming, rustic hotel that blends beautifully into the landscape. The building's structure is quite old, giving it a certain old-fashioned feel. A real, rotating watermill attached to the side of the building adds to its charm and Mediterranean character. The hotel's restaurant offers excellent Italian cuisine, the service is exceptionally friendly, and you feel very well taken care of. When visiting Maranello, I highly recommend it as one of the best options in the area.

05/08/2026: This restaurant was the highlight of our trip! The four of us went there for lunch and were all delighted by the delicious food, the great prices—especially the set menus (see picture for prices)—and above all, the warmth and attentiveness of the service. We received a friendly welcome, had a lovely chat, and because of our interest, we were even given a recipe and chickpea flour so we could recreate the appetizer back home. You can tell that the food is freshly prepared with love. The appetizer and bread were also delicious and served warm. The desserts were excellent as well. The restaurant was well air-conditioned, clean, and full of charming details, perfectly matching its name. 🐈 We will definitely be back!

16/05/2026: A fantastic restaurant in the heart of Bologna with all the Italian specialties. The service is quick and the food is excellent, especially the pasta Bolognese. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and were even treated to a complimentary glass of Limoncello at the end.

07/06/2026: We had a pleasant experience in Parma, and really enjoyed it. The fried gnocchi, cured meats, and other local delicacies were delicious. It's a small selection, but it's done really well.

31/05/2026: Very good food, helpful waiters at the table, but as soon as we got to the cashier the clerk seemed annoyed and not very willing to make us pay separately... each one for their own dishes consumed... if it had been a problem she could have told us that she simply had to make us pay in one go, that we could find a solution.

03/08/2026: Disappointing experience. We were a group of five, and when ordering, I asked for spaghetti with clams. The waiter replied that my choice would "put him in difficulty" because the other table had ordered risotto, tagliatelle, and pasta with tomato sauce, so the dishes were cooked differently. In effect, I was asked to change my dish, and I found myself ordering an appetizer instead of what I actually wanted. Personally, I didn't find this to be professionally motivated: in a restaurant, I expect to be able to choose from the menu without having to change my order to accommodate the kitchen. It's a shame, because this episode ruined the experience.
