17/07/2025: What an amazing dinner!! The ambiance was perfect, and the staff were lovely and incredibly attentive. The food and wine pairing recommended by the maître was outstanding, definitely one of, if not the best restaurant in Scilla.

26/07/2025: Pochi camerieri e molto scortesi. Pizza normale ma servizio pessimo (40 minuti perché qualcuno si presentasse a prendere l'ordinazione). Non vale la pena stare nella confusione ed aspettare un'eternità per essere serviti per mangiare una normalissima pizza. Posto adatto solo ai giovanissimi.

25/07/2025: Cerco di limitare il più possibile le recensioni non necessarie, purtroppo questo non è il caso. Ci siamo ritrovati in un girone infernale. Già la richiesta di prenotazione tavolo non ci avevano risposto con molta gentilezza, ma abbiamo lasciato perdere. Arrivati a cena un incubo la pizza va a mezzo oppure chilo completo, non sia chiarezza della tipologia di pizza che ti potrebbe arrivare, in termini di dimensione alla fine ci siamo trovati con due fette di pizza ciascuno e siamo stati costretti a coordinare un antipasto perché eravamo rimasti con la fame. La qualità non è terribile ma nemmeno così eccelsa inoltre siamo stati serviti da alcuni camerieri un pochino inesperti e a tratti un po’ maleducati, uno di questi pareva ci avesse quasi lanciato i piatti sul tavolo. Oltre a questo il caos generale dell’organizzazione, noi un tavolo di due persone ci siamo ritrovati in mezzo a una marmaglia di due tavoli ognuno composto circa da quasi una ventina di persone, tutti con bambini che ci correvano intorno o addirittura uno che ha allungato le mani e ci ha rubato una patatina. Riconosco che questa sia colpa dei genitori e non del locale, ma il locale deve rendere gradevole una cena e non può creare un inferno in terra per gli altri Clienti in ulteriore aggiunta al momento del pagamento, stava subentrando il secondo turno per cena, non si riusciva a camminare. Tra il malcontento generale per pagare due pizze, ci abbiamo messo quasi 40 minuti . A mai piu.

18/07/2025: Today, I had the pleasure of having lunch with a friend at the Farinella restaurant. We ordered Nerano pizza, Scarpariello pasta, Bufala mozzarella, and a Millefoglie dessert. The food was simply delicious—freshly prepared and full of flavor. The service was professional, albeit a bit slow. The prices were reasonable, which made the overall experience very satisfying. Definitely worth a visit for anyone who appreciates Italian cuisine.

25/07/2025: The restaurant is located in a square with tables outside, where it's clearly visible that the floor hasn't been cleaned since the last rain, making it quite dirty. The €30 fixed menu is a rip-off, as it's meager and barely edible; perhaps it's better to choose from the menu. Bottom line: a popular, touristy place for those who are content.

13/07/2025: A beautiful little square, nice tables. Excellent food. We ate really well. The starters were excellent, the breaded sausage was wonderful, and even the dessert made us want to eat another one right away.

27/06/2025: A very nice atmosphere, but the service was unfortunately very slow and inattentive. All the dishes were served at a certain distance, and side dishes were forgotten. There was also a €15 charge for setting the table, which is a main course at the nice restaurants nearby. The Parmesan cheese was very bitter, so we were very disappointed. The other restaurants in the area were much better. What a shame.

23/05/2025: The restaurant has a spartan structure even if on the sea but very spartan, the service terrible. The waiter left the can I gave to my dog ​​on the chair next to me for the whole lunch without taking it away after I asked him kindly he continued to leave it there, the linguine with clams is not fresh pasta it costs €18 I would say a lot especially because it was four small forkfuls, the glass of wine five euros was barely the bottom of the glass, as a welcome they brought some black olives and some popcorn chips with a basket of bread with some taralli and honestly I was full with those because I ate very little and badly, the spaghetti was not even worth €18, I complained to the waiter when he asked me how it was and while I was complaining about the fact that there was very little what they had put on my plate he took the olives and the bread and the corn chips from under my hands, I complained and after he had piled them one on top of the other together with those of the other tables on his tray he put them back on the table, pouring them on me rudely, to make up for my complaining about the scarcity of the dish they brought me a small tray with slices of cucumber and carrots quite dry not cleaned at the moment, the whole thing came to € 31 for what I ate it is shameful and above all for how I was served, I will never go there again. I advise anyone against going there the prices are very high keep in mind that the dish I had was the one that cost the least! Some restaurateurs should kiss the ground for what they have and instead they have no desire to work and want to earn three times what they produce and what they offer honestly I was wrong not to go again instead to Torre Caffe where I feel great every time I go, there are haute cuisine dishes and they also cost less the place is much more beautiful and refined with nice jazz music and the service is much more accurate and clean the dishes are more abundant and the fish is very fresh!

05/06/2025: Big 0 for this restaurant. Because the dog was in the car we wanted to eat outside. A waitress shouted unfriendly at us that we were not allowed to eat outside only inside. We wanted to keep an eye on the car because the windows were open. So we sat inside. Others who came after us were helped first and after that happened twice we had to call a waitress. The tone was anything but friendly. A German couple arrived with a dog, surprise all around, they were allowed to eat outside, were served immediately and provided with a sandwich and oil. We spoke to the waitress about it, she did apologize. But for us the friendliness was so far away that we left it at 1 drink and pizza. At Grotto Carza they got a 10 € tip, here we paid immediately and left, we will leave this unfriendliness out of our travel journal. will never come back!

03/06/2025: After one of the mountain hikes starting from here, it's the perfect stop for a simple lunch with solid regional cuisine. We particularly enjoyed the lukewarm octopus salad with potatoes. Accompanied by a white Frizzantino on tap, what more could you want?

02/07/2025: This is already the second summer in a row that we have been regular guests of the Lido Tropicana beach during our summer vacation in Taormina. A perfect and very pleasant place for RELAXATION and SWIMMING FUN! One of the few private beaches around Taormina where everything is superbly organized and therefore works perfectly. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the beachfront restaurant is highly recommended: great value for money. We are already looking forward to seeing you again in summer 2020. 😃 Thank you so much for everything!!! This is already the second year in a row that we had the great luck to be regular guests of the Lido Tropicana again during our vacation in Taormina, Sicily. The beach is a perfect place for a great leisure time and swimming bliss. It's one of the few private beaches surrounding Taormina where everything is perfectly organized and allows everyone to just relax and have a fabulous time by the sea. The staff is very friendly and kind, and their own restaurant is sensational! We are already looking forward to our next year's trip! 😃 Thanks for everything!!!
