04/09/2025: We stopped there because there were lots of buggies and handcarts parked in front of the restaurant, and we were looking for a child-friendly environment. It was a perfect fit. The staff is friendly, and the food comes quickly and is good. I recommend it with children. As a couple, I would choose a quieter spot, as the restaurant is very busy, and you feel like you have to make room for the next person. But it's not like you're being rushed. As I said, I would go back with kids.

03/09/2025: I had dinner in August with my daughters. We had 2 normal pizzas and a gluten-free one, both excellent, especially the gluten-free one. The waiters were friendly and welcoming.

04/09/2025: Affordable prices and impeccable service, friendly and welcoming staff, and especially the chef. The meal was excellent. We ordered a sliced ​​beef steak with cheese shavings and a side salad, followed by a Milanese cutlet and browned potatoes. Bread, water, and wine were included.

26/08/2025: Unfriendly service – I wanted a tiramisu with wine. Even though the restaurant wasn't full, the waiter rudely and condescendingly refused to serve me, saying it "wouldn't be profitable for him." Very disrespectful, I left immediately.

03/08/2025: A real discovery... You wouldn't know it from the outside, but as soon as you enter, you find yourself in a world of ROCK. We appreciated the attentive and thoughtful service of the waitress, professional and always smiling. And what can we say about the food? A simple Caesar salad became a gourmet dish... Wonderful. We will definitely be back... Thank you for the wonderful experience.

27/07/2025: The agnolotti with white ragù were delicious, and their veal with tuna sauce was delicious. But what we loved most was the service. The young waitress who greeted us was beyond professional; she listened to us, offered advice, and was truly impeccable.

03/09/2025: ed: Visited after 3 years - unfortunately, a huge disappointment. The waitstaff was very poor, arrogant, and incompetent, and the menu, which contained nothing to impress, seemed tailored to tourists - a huge contrast to yesterday's visit to La Bul (located nearby), where the 5-course tasting menu and service were incredible. I don't know why Giampaolo's went downhill like this, but I hope they fix it someday. For now - don't come here under any circumstances. :( And the old review was: "Outstanding. My girlfriend and I visited just before the pandemic; the quality of the food and service, as well as the atmosphere, were a unique experience." And it was 5/5 in all categories...

26/08/2025: A wonderful culinary experience... fresh fish expertly cooked. The seafood risotto was superb. The staff were knowledgeable and welcoming, and Giampaolo was an excellent host. I'll be back!

17/07/2025: Excellent from a culinary standpoint, with balanced dishes, bright colors, and above all, delicious food. But that little waiter, who I think is new, might not be told anything about picking his nose while serving tables, "fixing" his butt as he leaves the room, and when the experience is over, he starts laughing behind your backside with his colleagues. Apart from him, I highly recommend eating there because it's an exceptional place, but don't pay too much attention to the service, or you'll be disappointed.

02/09/2025: We spontaneously stopped by for dinner on our last day of vacation and easily got a table for four. What can I say? We were absolutely thrilled. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We had pasta with salmon and pizza and can highly recommend this restaurant. It's by far the best in the region.

01/09/2025: The only advantage, for those who like the hustle and bustle, is that it's located in the center of Ariccia, right at the entrance to the historic bridge. I was in a group, and I don't know how much it cost!

31/08/2025: We had booked for lunch and were seated outside (all good), except that we were very crowded (there were more tables than necessary in a small space) and in the sun because the umbrellas didn't cover some tables at all. We waited almost 40 minutes for our orders and just as long for the first courses. The dishes were all brought out of sync: an appetizer with a sandwich, followed by a pasta dish, and much later the main pasta dish. The sandwich and appetizer were very good and I recommend them, but the two pasta dishes (carbonara and gricia) were VERY tourist-catching, not good at all. All this was compounded by the waiters arguing with each other, and one waiter in particular was constantly complaining to us customers about the table arrangements and other things, saying he wanted to stay home, that he didn't want to be there, that he had to take vacation, etc. In short, not a very nice thing to hear. Finally, the bill, perfectly fair for what we ate, EXCEPT for the fact that they added a Coke and a bread basket that NEVER arrived at the table. For goodness sake, we paid €3, but at least they should be honest. If you're going to eat somewhere, I recommend taking out sandwiches and that's it.

05/09/2025: A typical restaurant where you can enjoy excellent fish dishes. The welcome is warm, the service impeccable, and the setting elegant. However, the €32 tasting menu left us a little hungry: it doesn't feature actual pieces of fish, but rather a variety of dishes (crêpes, pâté, burgers, etc.), and the risotto could have been more generous with the fish. It's a shame, because this makes the value for money of this menu a bit mixed. I think it's better to choose a real dish.

14/08/2025: I know the Rivale brand well and we often frequent the other restaurant in Brescia, always with excellent experiences. Unfortunately, the service at Rivale al Lago was chaotic: several waiters asked us the same questions multiple times, our drink order wasn't respected, and the turbot was excessively salty, even for those who like savory food. Poor organization, dessert ordered but requested again by other waiters, and the bathroom was in disreputable condition. Too bad, the location is splendid, but the experience was disappointing.

11/08/2025: An excellent culinary experience in a stunning location just steps from the lake. The menu offers a varied and very interesting selection, excellent and beautifully presented dishes, and unique flavors, especially the amazing truffle risotto. The service was attentive and punctual, pleasant and never intrusive, yet very present. We had lunch with two appetizers: a beef tartare with eggplant parmesan, preceded by a welcome entrée, their excellent homemade breadsticks. This was followed by their first courses: an unforgettable truffle risotto and excellent ravioli with bacon and cheese. Their homemade pastries were truly appreciated, including a revisited rose cake that was simply amazing! Everything was perfect.

18/08/2025: Excellent restaurant, I've been there two nights in a row, having tried others in the area that aren't quite as good. Special appetizers with natural and refined ingredients, excellent first courses, fabulous meat-based main courses, and mouth-watering homemade desserts!! They also make pizza, but we didn't order it. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely stop by again.
