04/07/2025: An experience to forget, The staff was arrogant and not very polite, creating an unpleasant atmosphere from the beginning. Despite the low prices, the quality of the food was very poor: poorly prepared dishes and disappointing flavors. Not recommended. To be avoided.

04/07/2025: TO AVOID, we booked regularly, we arrived 10 minutes before opening, and the owner rudely turned us away, inviting us to go somewhere else. Rude and impolite, I have never received such treatment, for nothing. What a welcome................

01/05/2025: Scoperto percaso, stavamo andando a fare una degustazione nel oltrepo'; visto il parcheggio pieno ci siamo detti qui si deve mangiare proprio bene, così ci siamo fermati, che dire!!! 10/03/2025: Menu' fisso nei feriali a mezzogiorno. Primi apprezzabili, i secondi da migliorare. Locale spazioso ed allegro, molto frequentato. Accessibile a tutti perche' al piano terreno. Prezzo non esoso (14 euro compresi vino sfuso, acqua, caffe'). Consiglio.

16/05/2025: Mangiato 2 pizze 1 birra media 1 bottiglia piccola di acqua 2 caffè, dal menù non quadra il conto di 35 €. Sarebbe opportuno fare un foglietto al momento dell'ordine sul tavolo per avere il riscontro col menù. Occhio

05/05/2025: Conosco la signora Rita sin da bambina. Ci siamo sempre trovati molti bene. Colazione, pranzo, pizza o cena, si mangia molto bene, ma soprattutto porzioni abbondanti. I prezzi non sono altissimi Purtroppo posso solo pubblicare due foto dei suoi dolci davvero buonissimi. Noi avendo la casa vicino a Varzi, dal lontano 1978, passare dalla signora Rita, anche per un caffè, è d'obbligo

01/07/2025: I had a great time especially with Matteo, the housekeeping guy, a super sunny and positive guy with whom I had a pleasant conversation, it was a pleasant afternoon experience where you could drink a good coffee!

10/07/2025: Since I've known Pavia, I've also been to Pasticceria Demetrio, but I've never been to one of its branches before. This one, attached to the train station, is accessed through a small door that leads down to a spacious basement. As soon as I entered, I was almost dazzled by the wide variety of pastries and desserts on the counter. I would have tried them all. If it were for the service alone, this experience would have deserved five stars, given that a staff that shows no signs of slowing down during rush hour, considering the location and all the people coming and going through the shop, is a credit to their professionalism. Considering that there were also people of questionable mental health, continuing to work with the same speed and kindness earns me nothing but high praise for those ladies. The croissants, however, unfortunately didn't completely convince me. The pastry was too buttery even for a croissant lover like me, bordering on sickening. I appreciate the generous amount of cream, but the pistachio one didn't taste like pistachio, except for a slight hint. The white chocolate, on the other hand, was quite convincing, even if I found it sugarier than the others. They're certainly not bad croissants, but I've definitely found better in the city. That said, the various desserts, both mini and individual, are very inspiring, so I'll gladly return for a snack someday.

06/07/2025: Absurd, rude and vindictive behavior for reporting a hot latte. But who manages the staff? We are not all exhausted, there are also normoconsistent people and as such they must be respected.

23/08/2025: A solid choice for this tier of hotel. We made a late evening pit stop here on the way to a destination. The location was easy to reach. Staff were welcoming and capable, particularly given a computer system problem that arose sometime before we arrived. This issue affected a large number of hotel chains that use the same service to process guests. Nevertheless, reception was patient and efficient. They already had a workaround that allowed us to check in with minimal delay. Decent location, clean surroundings, clean room, and a serviceable breakfast to get us started the next morning. Recommended, though see comments regarding the room for additional notes.

12/01/2025: I'm very sorry to give a negative review, but the dishes are no longer at the levels they once were, the menu was extremely reduced, the pizzas were not available and the portions were really small. Dishes without infamy and without praise. The desserts were not inviting: the tartlet with cream and fruit had a cream that looked like those packaged desserts and the top had pineapple and kiwi; the chocolate mousse looked like mu-mu. Little attention to the customer even though we were the only table on a Sunday evening.

20/07/2025: Be careful if you're not local: €1.60 for a coffee and a glass of water. I paid in advance, but the lady at the counter punched the amount into the POS without saying anything, without specifying that I would pay "40 cents for a glass of water." After I complained and drank the water, she told me I could refuse it and get my 40 cents back. Hmm!!
