A lovely old-fashioned osteria, with carefully prepared food, generous portions, fair prices, and fast, courteous service. The stewed colt is excellent.

Very informal atmosphere, suitable for all budgets. Friendly staff Small, quiet place. Good for a business lunch, since I'll only be coming here for that. If you're in the area, it's a good place to go.

Discovered on The Fork, this osteria offers traditional Mantuan dishes. The first courses are a must, and we recommend the tortelli: delicious with every flavor and topping, but the pumpkin ones are a real treat! The desserts are also excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the prices are moderate.

A true osteria, one of those places worth preserving: they don't make them like this anymore. Marisa makes you feel at home, welcoming you with a smile and always having a story to tell between explanations of the various dishes on the menu. The service is precise and attentive, the cuisine traditional, respectful of the local area and the seasons. After a welcome glass of sparkling wine, we enjoyed risotto with frogs, followed by venison and colt, both with sliced ​​polenta (the venison was off-menu seasonally), all accompanied by a bottle of Valpolicella Ripasso (the wine list is basic but well-rounded, with everything you could want, and the selection of wineries is excellent). To finish, we couldn't help but order the traditional sbrisolona. If you order coffee, it's served with shortbread biscuits. Everything was perfect; we can't wait to return to try the caponsei, cod, and pike, but above all, to chat more with Marisa.

An old-school osteria in the sense that the food is excellent... homemade dishes, a family atmosphere, and good prices, I'd say... I'll definitely be back to try other dishes... truly excellent.
