03/10/2025: 10:00 AM: "I'd like a cappuccino and croissant." Shop Assistant: "The croissants are sold out. If you want, there's focaccia. If not, nothing." I'm speechless. Why do places like this still exist?!

01/11/2025: Once and never again, early this morning, I bought bread and focaccia...absolute disappointment, inedible focaccia, I can't describe how clean and tidy it was...and the clerk was absolutely rude. It makes me think some of the reviews aren't true. However, I don't recommend looking for something better. P.S.: I went back to read the positive reviews and, as I said, some must be biased; it's impossible to have found all this deliciousness. People obviously don't know what they're putting in their mouths.

30/10/2025: Friendly staff The focaccia is top-notch. Try the Nutella and pistachio versions, which are out of this world.

28/12/2025: Master is an icon bar in the areas and of course we had to stop for a quick Aperol Spritz before heading out for dinner next door. Highly recommend

29/11/2025: We ordered takeout and were impressed by the owner's attentiveness, who even called us back to let us know our order was ready, given our delay. He and the entire staff were extremely kind and helpful, even offering us a complimentary drink. We've tried many restaurants, but such genuine courtesy is truly rare: we felt welcomed at every turn. The food was also impeccable, tasty and prepared with obvious care, all at more than fair prices. We highly recommend this place, and will definitely return.

13/10/2025: Great place for kids! I recommend it. I came in for a coffee and then was surprised by the large children's play area with lots of toys and a changing table! Super friendly staff! 🥰

21/09/2025: Excellent place for both breakfast and lunch. Everything has definitely improved since the historic barista came back to work there, who brightens your day in the morning with her cheerful smile and excellent way of welcoming customers. Now I call her Sole, and what's more, it took her to finally have lactose-free milk for me who am allergic. And no... soy milk as they told me before is not the same at all. Even for lunch, a wide choice and prices for workers. Therefore, excellent for those who work and want to eat something good without enormous culinary pretensions. You always eat well

31/10/2025: Absolutely wonderful place! We’d like to thank the team for their warm hospitality and the cozy, welcoming atmosphere. The seafood was incredibly fresh, every dish was delicious, and the service was both friendly and fast. The restaurant is just a minute away from the apartment we were staying in — our only regret is finding this gem on the very last evening of our holiday! Highly recommended!

22/10/2025: Excellent dishes. Whether seafood, pizza, or the incredible spaghetti carbonara...simply fantastic! I'd love the recipe for the thick spaghetti. Very friendly service. We still managed to get a table despite the extremely busy crowd. Viva Liguria, viva Lavagna!!

09/09/2025: A truly informal place... the owner is always very kind... we have been there several times, the pizza is decent... the rest from the first to the second courses are good... a place for everyone with excellent prices... sometimes we stop because we are very tired from work... and the owner knows how to offer a good first and second course... really reasonable prices after COVID... We also go on Saturday evenings, honest and kind several times, they offer limoncello... a place that is not luxurious... but the food is good, excellent service, congratulations 👍 this evening I had a take-away margherita... the owner was not there... a small and poorly made margherita, that is, a small pizza... it seemed frozen... 7 euros. Never again... if the owner is there, he is very helpful.... for the rest, goodbye

21/08/2025: A simple trattoria with decent seating, on a winding street next to the stadium. The owner, a very nice, kind, and sweet person, honestly recommended that we have a small appetizer to stave off our hunger, as we had a long wait. The dishes were very generous and... delicious. Their mayonnaise was truly delicious, just the right amount of spicy. We had an appetizer of fried anchovies and chips, spaghetti with clams, tagliolini del pescatore, and a delicious amatriciana. For our main course, a chicken breast, chips, and mussels marinara, all accompanied by... 1/2 liter of sparkling house wine and water... The bill? €61 for 3 of us!!!! I was happy with how much and how well I ate, but equally happy with the bill. Recommend!!!

13/11/2025: We went for breakfast 2 days ago. The waitress was rude and didn't even smile (I do the same job), but if you're dealing with the public, you have to know how to handle it! As soon as she heard we were tourists, she inflated the prices and didn't even give us a receipt!

13/01/2026: I never like to give a restaurant or business a low rating, because I'm aware that every restaurant has its own efforts and sacrifices, but unfortunately, I can't do otherwise in this case... Poor Hygiene Poor, very poor quality food Unusual bill I was served bread that was anything but freshly baked, as the "waiter" had told me; it actually tasted moldy and was clearly microwaved. After a fairly long wait, considering it was 1:00 PM and there were no other customers in the restaurant, the chef and owner came to take my order. Trenette al pesto, arrived after 20 minutes, was of poor quality and with a pesto not worthy of Liguria, barely edible. Focaccia al formaggio (for 1 person) was excessively runny and, unfortunately, the dough was partially undercooked. Excessive bill for the quality of the products. I should add that, unfortunately, I also felt a bit unwell after this meal. NOT RECOMMENDED!

05/12/2025: First and foremost, the wonderful staff deserves a mention. Everyone was attentive to the guests' well-being and very friendly. We stayed in a newly renovated room, which, while not very large, was clean, modern, and comfortable. The bed was wonderful, and the bathroom was also very nice. The hotel restaurant offers excellent food, and the breakfast buffet is very appealing and well-stocked, even in the off-season. We would definitely choose this hotel again in Chiavari.

29/11/2025: A good 4-star hotel, with spacious rooms, excellent cleanliness, and a good breakfast. It has a covered, secure garage (reservation recommended). The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, as were the rest of the staff. Centrally located (near the pedestrian shopping street) yet in a quiet area.

05/01/2026: Small trattoria near the Portofino square. The garlic focaccia is a must. The price is a bit high, but the location says it all... We'll be back!

16/11/2025: A little off the beaten path from the hustle and bustle of the harbor, we found this lovely little restaurant. The staff was very friendly, and we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food. We had the large appetizer platter, which was truly delicious and included some fantastic regional specialties. Afterward, we had the fish soup, also very good, and the spaghetti with clams. We also had a small bottle of Vermentino and water, and the bill, at around €100, was very reasonable. We'd gladly come back again.

21/08/2025: Elegant atmosphere and courteous, prompt staff. We discovered the Universale restaurant by chance but were pleasantly surprised. The dishes are well-prepared: beautiful to look at and delicious to eat! The black lasagna and the amberjack steak are highly recommended.
